I just curious to see how you folks feel about the stricter gun control laws big brother is trying to pass. I live in ca where they are trying to ban any rifle with a detachable clip and consider it illegal to posses any such rifle on July 2013. If this laws passes I'm moving to texas

Brother I don't excatly know how it is in the land down under but in my opinion any Country that dictates to it citzen that they have no right to protect itself is communist country. In washington they said when the guns where control the crime would go down..well it didn't it went up 500 percent, samething with NY. Bro. Visiting Hollywood and Las Vegas on Vacation isn't going to give you an idea of what it's like to live free. AnonYou can't compare Aus and US when it comes to massacres.
One, the population of Aus is equal to that of Florida.
Secondly, Aussies are much more hands on than Americans. Where in the US you're more likely to be shot by some asshole for no reason, in Australia you're more likely to be beaten to death. I've seen both sides and honestly from my personal observation. Australia is higher in violent and hands on crime than the US.
Statistically speaking, states and countries with high gun control also have high crime.
Compare England to Switzerland. England is a no gun country, so they have allot of violent crime. Switzerland is the most gun friendly country in the world where virtually everyone is packing and they have the lowest crime rate.
Regardless of where I live, I will own a weapon for self defense. Whether it's legal or bought off the black market doesn't matter to me, I won't be a statistic
