It is with great and utter sadness that I announce this but I was contacted via Bill G's wife through his account in the early hours of this morning to let me know that Bill has sadly passed yesterday.
She wanted to let me know and also you guy's - many of whom were good friends with him.
I'm absolutely gutted to have lost him as a great friend on here, he was one of the first members I properly bonded with when I joined 3 years ago. Seems like only yesterday we first spoke, it's times like this where you knew what the damn future had in store for all of us so you could have spoken even more if you knew your time left to talk was limited.
I never knew it was possible to walk around a supermarket choking back tears over some guy you've never met in real life but just talked to for hours on end through a computer keyboard.
Devastated beyond belief and this place now has a big void without him for me and no doubt many others :-((
Farewell Mr G and I genuinely hope our paths cross again in the future some day buddy.

This is the thing mate - it can often be so easy to just log on here in seconds and speak to whoever happens to be on at the given time. You often think of it as some removed surreal world that almost doesn't exist but does, with your own secret group of friends that no one in society knows you have that are all part of this 'naughty part of life' lol But when you've actually sat and shed a tear a few times as I have and feel really gutted that you will NEVER ever speak to that person again it brings it all home how big a part of your life it has become without realising it. It sounds harsh but I've been more upset over this than some of my older family members that have died over recent years.
Anyway gotta get my act together now - If he could log on now I'd be getting 'Stop being a fuckin pussy press - look after yourself, I'm doin fine!' .....

The Internet is incredibly powerful isn't it, you don't realise how subconsciously close you have become to someone until one day you log on and they are no longer there when it has become so easy and quick to speak to someone anywhere in the world. You have an image of how they sound and look in your mind and often in reality will never speak to them. I was actually hoping to meet Bill one day, I thought maybe if I am over in the U.S I would be able to look him up and as everyone in life does, I thought I had years ahead to be able to do it.

There was a space in time where anything online was considered “not the real world”. Even today a huge percentage of online Persona’s are indeed a front but buried in amongst all that rises a side of people who are realer and truer than the majority of face to face interactions in our daily grind.
