Do AAS users have a higher occurrence rate of HIV?

ad

I was checking around for places to give blood, and reading the list of qualifications/ disqualifications.
Under the high risk for HIV list, they included steroid use with IV drug abuse in the HIV section.
Do juicers really have a higher incidence of HIV? Do they think we are sharing needles or something?
Tempted to disregard and give blood anyway.

No shit disregard, unless you have been sharing needles or engaging in homosexual behavior with your bros.

After you donate they screen for that shit anyway, so if you do got the HIV, they'll let you know. Now go give blood and bring down those RBC levels.

Any association with using needles is a no no for giving blood... Even new tats.. But the only way your going to get HIV from gear is if you and your HIV positive training partner decide to pin each other and share the needle! Or you stick yourself from his needle . I read your post below and can't believe people can't figure out how to order pins online so they would share.. Bone heads!

I googled that shit. It looks like the AAS connection to HIV comes from two fronts. In many areas it's difficult to get syringes, and some people end up sharing syringes as a result. The other reason appears to be that they relate AAS user behavior to being a drug using manslut, lol.

Juice is not IV, its IM.

I guess if you're injecting HIV it doesn't really matter if you hit a vein or not.

EmeraldLaoch's picture

LOL good point. I think the key here is to avoid injecting HIV and then everything will be ok.

I wouldn't know why that would be. AAS is not heron AAS users are not like needle junkies with dope. Most AAS users tend to live to help their body in a positive way that means using clean injection tech. as well as taking care of their body. Now aside from having an over active sex drive that leaves little room for using a dirty needle that might be infected with HIV virus.
Some people that have contracted AIDS from other means are placed on HGH and from feeling better and taking better care of themselves tend to venture into the world of AAS. They start another way of life for themselves. I apologize that my answer is double edged but first, Most into AAS are into self improvement and are clean people free of HIV. 2nd yes they are some people that have AIDS that use AAS. percentage wise people with Aids using AAS are very little say 10% as long as you don't share needles I wouldn't worry.

Doubt it... But it shouldn't stop you if you know you are clean.
