Bubs777Soo in y'all's opinion obviously Bitcoin is the MOST popular but I've seen videos where yes these new crypto currency are going to take over..... Which ones in y'all's experience would be best to invest I've got Bitcoin already? I watched video last night where dude wasn't lying if you invested in Reddit Coin at a certain time and 2 months later a 20$ profit turned into like 5,000++ so looking for ideas on which one's someone might know about that is on the rise?? I have the coin cap app which shows EVERY crypto out there but shit there another language to me I wouldn't know...
RustyhookerDid yall pull out with the drop?
please tell me you punned
RustyhookerHaha!!! After i hit reply and reread i lmao.
Lol, I didn’t pull out and it has cost me over 21 years.
And no Rusty. Crypto is for the long haul.
RustyhookerIt was damn exciting watching you guy bankroll like that though. Seeing anyone roll the dice is fun.
It is going to evolve. There is also nothing wrong with taking some profits, I have. But I believe this whole scene is in its infancy and I plan on trading and riding for a good long time
So pardon my ignant ass on this topic but how do you guys turn that shit into currency? Say you wanted to cash it in for US dollars. How does my ignant ass do that? Sorry for asking I feel like a MR trying to understand this
If you want cash you can just make an account on coinbase or several of the other exchanges and link an account to transfer to. I however do not recommend converting to cash for large amounts any way. Buy something as good as cash right directly with crypto. See Silver and Gold
Yep good advice. I put all my cash that I am not willing to gamble with into bars of some sort. Mostly silver....
It is nice to have some bling in the safe for doomsday.
Has anyone seen my tin foil hat?
Hahahaha
Seriously though it is nice to know you have something put aside that isn’t a promissory note.
Now that’s what I was thinking. I’ve been seeing Bitcoin ATMs around and I was wondering how that shit works too. Anyhow I guess my caveman ass needs to do a little homework. I’m late to the crypto party bro. I still barter with weed for Christ sake
Yea unfortunately I think the good old days with weed are behind us. Mary Jane treated me wonderfully and I owe her a great thanks but big money is hell bent on destroying a beautiful thing.
It is not too late on crypto. BTC itself is about 60% of it’s all time high today and it will go back up and set new highs.
RustyhookerI can see that. Like any market has its highs and lows. I just checked my winter quarterly report and plenty happy with 17.5% interest gained.
Hell no, HODL.
RustyhookerBooyah!!! 7-11 baybeee!
Big-timeBEthereum is one...
There's actually a LOT of other cryptocurrency out there, and each have their own little following, but I'd stay with something that's more universally recognized such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and maybe even BitcoinCash, or LiteCoin.
Note that with Bitcoin there's only so many, so some people are buying into that, and holding on to them like Gold. Ethereum and the others are becoming more like the Dollar...so plentiful, and more for daily transactions.
I got interested in Bitcoin back in April '17, when it was ~$1,200, and found out there's a lot to learn when getting involved in it. There's some cool YouTube vids that really helped me understand the process and what goes on.
I learned how to use CoinBase as an exchange; be careful with the "exchanges", and "wallets" too.
I think that geeks were good at figuring this shit out, but not so good at customer services & running wallets/exchanges.
Hope that helps.
If you are considering making an investment in alt-coins, I would suggest Litecoin and QTUM.
I've got a little bit in a few different ones.
Stellar lumens and stratis coins are my long term investments.
Litecoin, ripple and monero are the crypto currencies I think will do well this year
You all have an advantage over the common noob in that you all understand how this all works. If you have a little money you can risk get in the game.
And that is exactly my thought. The sources will likely be the first to embrace the next big crypto.
Made 3k off the latest bump on LTC. I have a pretty big bet on Verge. XVG.
Charlie Lee has all but sworn 2018 will be big for litecoin
I agree with you!
Wall street getting more involved
Coinbase starting to use Segwit wallets
Lightning Network should roll out.
Invest into ethereum if you're playing the long game.
Invest in many of them if you are playing the short game. Ether had a good week tho.
It's all a gamble.
Best gamble in town at the moment tho.

Again, we DO NOT discuss payment methods in the open forum.
BitCoin, litecoin, peanuts or jellybeans as an investment tool, yes.
Anything as a payment method,.........NO !!
basskiller89Got it
Sorry brother
Here's an article on 10 cryptocurrency alternatives to bitcoin I enjoyed:
http://listverse.com/2017/12/24/10-cryptocurrency-alternatives-to-bitcoin/
I'm looking at environmentally friendly cryptos. Bitcoin mining is an enormous drain on resources. They say mining btc is consuming more electricity that Denmark and maybe Ireland. I cant remember exactly. My thinking is that sort of drain wont last forever. Im still researching though. As of now Im only involved with 4 so I am interested to hear what those smarter than I in this field have to say.
The most interesting thing I've heard/researched are all the college kids creating "dorm mining centers" of anywhere from 1-5 computers.
Many are mining ETH because it takes less computer power (terminology may be off) but they still replace the CPU with a Gaming Card so that it can process 100x faster which of course is gonna heat up the dorm room fast.
Some talk about putting it in their friends dorms a few levels lower than their own due to it being cooler to how some started at home but parents told them to stop because of the electric bill.
Why are they using dorms?
Many are in colleges where the grotesquely over priced tuition fees (IMO) just happen to cover ELECTRIC!!!
The grid system used in many of these dorms apparently do not draw unwanted attention or not enough attention because each dorm is not hooked up to show individual usage but rather as a whole.
Some colleges even know their students are doing it and pass a blind eye but when you get your electricity free...the profit is far greater than those who are paying for it.
Makes me want to consider paying a small fee to rent students dorm rooms to host a 3-4 comp center in each but going to research more on the math.
Clearly the money is there and worth while to mine it and you can use old inexpensive computer but with updated cards to do the work.
Some of the unique ways the students ventilate their rooms are pretty interesting too.
A very unique opportunity in several aspects that blockchain tech has created.
Big-timeBDude that's interesting. I'd never thought of that, but you're right! Those processors consume TONS of energy...I've even heard folks can heat their rooms with pods of these things!
Thanks for posting!
Very Interesting!
