New to bitcoin . I ended up sending a payment earlier today and says delayed for clearing for 72 hours. is this normal ? also i purchased my coins like 5 days ago and just received them today and was down around 60 bucks already from the time i purchased them. wish kinda sucks, i have the option to REDACTED should i do that and hope next week for it to go up? thanks

basskiller89I've never had bitcoins take anything longer than 30 seconds to appear in my account. You should probably check with your bank ahead of time, the delay is most likely coming from their end of things
i use coinbase what do you use? when i fund money into account it can take up to 5 days the last 3 times. someone said it gets faster the more you fund money. but i dont like that because the price can change so much within 5 days.

Mate, I posted some (factual) stuff about Bitcoin and was accused of FUD spamming. So in the interests of peace I deleted it.
Gimme a break. You posted two rather biased and misinformed posts one after the other and I questioned if you intended to keep looking for bitcoin topics to "spread the word".
I never told you to delete anything. It's also not without precedence that we've had someone pepper an opinion throughout the site.
It's better to start your own post, or post a comment in one thread and give people a chance to reply and have a discussion over it. Not to have a simultaneous discussion carried across 3 or 4 posts.
Mate - I never said that you told me to delete my post - as I said, I deleted it in the interests of peace. I don't really care whether people here or anywhere buy/like Bitcoin, but I figured that I could express an opinion. I get your point about peppering opinions across the site. I will keep that in mind. It wasn't my intention, but I can see how it might come across.

Banks are like the government,........ they do NOT like competition.
You got that right. BTC is being heavily manipulated these days and the whales doing it are most likely those very same banks.
Why wouldn't they,........ it is your money they are playing with.
We are traveling new frontiers so nobody outside of the whales really knows for sure what is going on. But that said it still has been an amazing investment. The alt coins have been trading very well again lately too and that is where most guys are making their money.
No idea on this. But I think you might get some more good advice on bitcoin forum.
i dont think im gonna use bitcoin anymore...i used it a few weeks ago and it was fine but just tried to use it last week and the transaction was rejected by my bank

If you're on coinbase it's normal. We don't talk about payment options but yes to your question.
Bitcoin can be discussed for "how to" reasons as an investment. and new money system.
