Just a question about aspirating..
When you try and pull back on the plunger is it hard as fck ?
I try pulling back and it wont budge i see no blood so i inject.
Am i doing something wrong or is this normal?

Give them a vote if you find it helpful.PermalinkTake it from an old intravenous drug user. When you want to hit the vain (and not go through it) you'd aspirate hoping to see blood. It was very easy, almost effortless.
Contrarily, if you're not in a vain, any resistance is a good sign. No need to try and "suck" the muscle up the needle.
To get the "feel" for it, after you pin, remove the needle and place the tip of the syringe against your arm and try to aspirate.
tread-mYou dont need to pull back as hard as most think. Once you drag blood one time you will understand that if you land in a vein the plunger will pull back as easy as it would if you had it in mid air....very easy. Give it a good little tug and roll. The blood by the way if and when you land in a vein will rush in rapidly having barely pulled on the plunger.
AnonThat is normal in some spots, other areas you will pull arround 0.2cc of air, if you hit a scar you might pull even more air. When it doesnt budge is a good sign. Also the only time i hit a vessel the barrel filled on its own didnt even have to aspirate for the needle to become bloody.

My right delt just feels bruised so does my quad..
Northern Gearlol, i get the same thing, i usually get 1/4cc of air and its hard as fuck...if you hit a vein, it would be VERY easy to pull back and the syringe would suck up blood, as blood in the viens has pressure behind it,
