Over the past few days i have been questioning the "friendships" i've established on Eroids....lets face it most ppl i will never meet, never see their eyes looking back at me, never see their smile when they belly laughing, some, never even hear the sound of their voice...yet on a fairly regular basis i interact with them...some i have felt the purest sorrow for or joy or even love without ever even seeing their face which begs the question; how could this relationship even be real...when the ppl i call friends have never seen the "real" me? If they do not know the person i really am or the loyalty and integrity i am capable of then how can our friendship be predicated on anything substantial or binding....maybe; the real me is not my face or eyes but my soul that i bear in my posts be it depth, sarcasm, anger, or humor. i do know this; our new technological world leaves much to be desired because there is a lot to be said for seeing someone's face and eyes and hearing the tone in their voice especially when they're laughing or hurting.

I wonder if virtual reality is the new ideal for friendships; if so how genuine are they? more importantly how much are they based in love
