4 months off gear

ad

So due to an injury, life happening, and all sorts of other glorious crap I came off of gear completely and I’m pushing 4 and a half months now. I was scared at first and didn’t know if I was going to need trt, be able to have kids, get saggy, all the horror you hear in the gym. So this is my experience (very briefly)

I’ve still been in the gym regularly, not hitting it as hard as I was while on gear, obviously but my diet has changed some as well. The first thing I noticed was I was looking like I was filling out more, getting a bulky wider look to me. My bf% has gone up some I wasn’t fat at all but I stay very vascular on gear even if it’s just test at 200. I then lowered my diet calories and started to lean out a bit more. Before coming off of gear I was weighing in at 221lbs, 2 months off: 216 currently:214.7.

So I’ve managed to keep a lot of the weight and learned how to maintain it as well. I’m very pleased with my look off of gear and am happy with my cycles I’ve ran. My coach keeps knocking on the door ready to go at it again and give getting on stage another go but I don’t know yet. I do miss it and am thinking of getting on some test again after getting bw.

Just curious as to how other people’s experiences have been after cycles or blast and cruise. We’re you happy? Disappointed? Would you have changed anything?

Been off of test completely, even trt since my last cycle ended about 6wks ago. On a fertility regime now so doc has cut out test. Lost a little bit of size but not much. Body comp is also good. Not getting fat or anything. Need to look at the big picture. There is more to life than steriods and trying to look swole all the time.

X2 the whole point is what you keep off cycle. What you've put on in the last three years is actually amazing.

I posted a pic of me in the selfie section after 6 months off gear. I'm not unhappy with how
I look. There is life after gear. https://www.eroids.com/pics/no-gear-and-no-test.

Thanks mate - yes - if you are still serious about gym - you find a way to train.

Good stuff mate! Don't know how I didn't see that go up...

Thanks mate...still pushing those plates - but in a different way. That's what we do if we love gym.

I'm a 120 mg trt guy. When I'm off blast my strength goes down but I dont really loose alot of size. I dont run huge cycles though. The whole point is what you keep off cycle...

This is what helps - at least when you look in the mirror you still look the part lol To me I go from looking like I lift to I don't. Funny thing is I still keep getting told by people in the street wow you've put some weight on and I'm thinking 'what the hell are you on about I'm bloody tiny now lol'...

Anabolic steroid induced body dysmorphic disorder???

If I suffered from that I'd train for size

I see your point but same principles may apply was all I was suggesting. Perhaps the sudden loss of strength is somewhat in your head - we’ve spoken about this before mate and I do worry for you and others that never come off (or at lest to trt/cruise) and the long term effects.

I do drop down to test only but yes, its nowhere near as enjoyable just maintaining or trying to keep what you have as opposed to progessing and moving forward.

I guess more experienced you become, more you can predict what is going to happen with your body after your cycle. Remember my first experience with hormones and gaining 15 pounds of probably water and walking around pretending to be biggest guy in the gym, now I look back at lough at myself, I was just a fat bloated fuk
But if you decide to stay natural, result will be the same, you will start looking more like a regular guy in the gym. It’s just the way God has created our bodies, everything has to be in balance, body will do everything not to carry unnecessary weigh even if it’s muscles. Therefore we constantly battle this by applying resistance training with the correct nutrition to create a look that we desire. But there only certain level you can reach while staying natural.
But then a again there is another side of it when you natural, your hormones are always in balance, sex drive always the same, no mood swings, no spots, no extra blood work needed, saving sh
t loads of money.

I keep getting tempted by having a week off or 2 to give the body and mind a break from it all - then 2 days off I'm itching to train again lol If I maintained or even gained size via body fat it would be mentally much easier but after several days of no training I soon notice the size dissappearing both in my clothes and the mirror. More a mental challenge than anything isn't it...
