Bioidentical Hormone Replacement

ad

Hello ladies, I have been getting a bioidentical hormone replacement pellet for the last few years.at every three months..
It's been wonderful.. Has anybody else gotten a pellet?
I can't speak highly enough about its benifits...
My levels are up to par now..and so is everything thing else ; )

Yes the pellet rescued me as well and my boyfriend is super excited ; )
Good information here..thanks all!

Growgirl,
my girl has the pellets and I absolutely love it. Her test level hits 400ng/dl on the high end and 100ng/dl
on the low end. She gets a whole assortment of other hormones too, including the armour thyroid.

You can check you blood at these places too.

Thanks again to Grrll, for helping me rescue my wife from a shitty menopause and bring her back to being her normal happy self.

I am super happy that it all worked out well ;-)

Ok, well sounds like we have similar happenings. .
I took armour for a while then it seemed like it wasn't working..the dr upped the dose..but i think something is different with it..I know they made some changes from what I read and because when i first got on it the tabs actually smelled like pork and now it doesnt..anyhow decided to try nature thyroid ..both derived from pork and this seems to be significantly cheaper and as of right now seems to be working.
As for the pellet, I'm really happy with the extra boost ; )
So when I start hgh just for anti aging..possibly just 1iu a day, do you have any recommendations for change as far as thyroid med and pellet? Maybe I won't need it?
Or all depends on bloodwork?
Well funny thing, I asked my dr if she would prescribe me hgh for antiaging and she acted like I was asking for the moon!! I've read some Dr's would so I thought I'd give it a shot before I took it upon myself to prescribe.

I was on high dose of armour 180mcg .... my insurances were switched and I ended up at a different doctor... they wouldn't prescribe it and said that i didn't need any even though my tsh levels are in the low range. ...
they are still low however, when i started cycling with injectibles I no longer needed hrt ...

Hey grrl, TSH will be high if you're T4 deficient, assuming your pituitary and hypothalamus is working properly.

Think of it this way - It's low when you're taking armour, because TSH isn't needed to stimulate T4 production.

I have some research to do but I may bounce some questions off of you about some recent things my doc has said to me and recommendations he's made ..

Gh0st's picture

Any time. I would hope your doc is up to date on everything but some things do change constantly.

I'm trained in general medicine, but I'm not currently practicing in general medicine. That being said I'm more than happy to help educate you more about any recommendations your doc might have, the research and physiology behind it, and I can definitely lead you in the right direction as far as recent guidelines in medicine.

I think he's being ultra pushy with the medication ;-) and I appreciate the assistance

Unfortunately some docs are. I'm a firm believer in lifestyle changes and preventive measures first before going to pharmacotherapy. But it might be for good reason! Any time :-)
