Training to fight Dolph Lundgren.
Not really,
I am starting my first cycle soon though and have decided to make an effort to be more active on the forums as part of that, there is a lot of great information and mentors here, and I want to be a part of it. I have lurked for a long time, read all I could, and cannot be more thankful for making such a complex process into something attainable for those of us without endocrinology degrees.
A little history:
Currently 25 years old(the age I told myself I would wait until before I touched gear), I swam in high school, got lazy over the next year and a half, but then got into weight training. Like so many others I decided the obvious choice was to become a personal trainer because I had read a bunch of books about Arnold Schwarzenegger.
So here I am: 19-20 years old, working at the gym, eating everything in sight, hitting the weights. I hit about 203-205lbs during my "bulking" phase (I'm 6'2"), and decided that my physique was in fact not at all what I had hoped for. Gone were the days of being a lean swimmer, and in were the days of being a large, strong, but honestly rather pudgy "bro" with awful cardio. This realization killed my motivation and focus, the next few months ended up being a lot of half assed "clean bulking" followed by guilty bouts at trying to get my cardio back.
Fast forward through some in and out of college, and I am in the Army now(currently National Guard). My diet is in check(thank you MyFitnessPal!), I am in the gym consistently, living an active lifestyle, running 2x a week, swimming and stretching on a weekly basis. I might not be as big or as strong on the bench as I used to be, but I am a hell of a lot more balanced and mature now.
Disciplined, motivated, and ready to work I am hoping that my first cycle will help me take my game to the next level. Plus I hope to bust a few heads in intramural dodgeball this semester.
Thanks eroids.
