Stumbled in like a drunk doctor
Hi everyone!
I have been reading on your board for a few months now and have finally decided to contribute. I have been in and out of gyms for years, and while my focus has never really been muscle gain, I am currently focusing on losing weight. In high school I won several awards in track and was a nationally competitive cheerleader, after high school I drank a lot and ate out constantly. Since then I have lost about 55 pounds from my goal of 80-90 so I am looking foreword to being in a community of people who will help me through their experiences to get me through that home stretch. I am finally able to fit into cute clothes off the racks (and not just pray they made it in 2xl), and men in cars are starting to holler at me again, so, you know, that's a sign of progress (in this context anyway...). I have lost the weight through dieting mostly, BJJ, kickboxing, and the occasional supplements. I do cardio at the gym as well as often as I can or I do something outdoors. My goal is to cut out at least 10% more bf and reassess my plan from there. I feel like if I can cut more than 10 I will look at doing more body sculpting things or some of the more "scientific" goals (you know, where you actually try to shape yourself with what we know about muscles and anatomy, rather than just beach your fat ass on a treadmill for hours on end until your pants fall down). Anyway, I enjoy your experiences and appreciate your input and advice!

Good job so far. You definitely want to hitting the weights now to and build some muscle. The more muscle you have the more calories you'll burn throughout the day.
Thank you for the advice, I haven't done a lot of weights in recent years so I think there is going to be a learning curve for those workouts again
