+ 2 Hey everyone

ad

Hello everyone,
Both here and at the gym, I'm quite new.
I've only been lifting for a few months, and I'm still learning everything. Nutrition, exercise, recuperation, etc. Since there is a lot of contradicting information available online, I reasoned that participating in an appropriate forum could help me uncover the truth rather than speculating.
Not on anything, simply attempting to establish a strong foundation and maintain consistency. I would appreciate any guidance for a novice.
I'm excited to pick up knowledge from each of you.

Says on your profile you’ve been lifting for a few years and on here a few months. Regardless what are your goals? Easier to give advice if you know what it is you would like to achieve short and long term.

Yeah good point, the profile is a bit messy.
I've been training on and off for a couple years but just got serious the last few months so still very much a beginner with the proper structure side of things. The main goal right now is just building a solid base, getting stronger and not screwing up the basics. Long term I’d like to keep progressing without rushing into anything advanced too soon.

Given you’re 29 and seem to have a sensible head on your shoulders I’d simply agree by sticking to the basics of consistency, with both training and food consumption at the core. I stated lifting at 28 and blew up on protein shakes and creatine only in the first year, putting on 4 stone which was almost 50% of my body weight at that time. Didn’t touch testosterone etc until 15 years later. There are very knowledgeable members on here who are always happy to help others who genuinely want to achieve their goals. Best of luck with your journey
