getting back in the saddle...

ad

Howdy all y'all. I'm... Fizz. Smile
I havent run a cycle in about 10 years. About that long since I've been on this site too. I have lost whatever knowledge I might have had. I've gained a disgusting amount of body fat and am stupidly out of shape. Oh, and lucky me, I've got a heart condition. Had a cardiac event last year and had 2 stints put in.
Enough of the boo hoo woe is me. ON WARD!

I am looking for advice and suggestions of what gear to get on again.
In the past I kept it simple with Sust(270), Mast(200) and varied my anti-e. I liked, no loved the results. I ran cycles (mostly on to be honest) for 10 years before my fall on the training regime I'd been on for longer than that.
1- I have GOT to loose weight. currently ~270 lbs. I have no idea what my body fat is, but I wouldn't f**k me. Just saying.
2- need to loose a lot of body fat. I know that's diet and I'm getting that dialed in.

I do the P90X program (got awesome results IMO), or rather working back up to it. I swim as well 3 times a week, have a home sauna.
Doc wont put me on HRT because the VA system sucks.

So, there you have it. I;m asking for knowledgeable guidance and suggestions. I really dunno if I wanna get back on the gear (I kinda really wanna), or if Peptides or HGH would be better.

Thanks in advance for an advice or guidance you may send me.

Cheers

FBB

Brother, first step isn’t gear, it’s a cardiologist. You’ve had a cardiac event and stents placed. If you jump on cycle without medical clearance, you’re not cutting, you’re gambling with your life.

If you care even 1% about staying alive, get full bloods, imaging, and talk to your doc about monitored TRT.

If not? Then yeah, go ahead and play Russian roulette with Tren and Sust. But don’t act surprised when you crash again, maybe for good.

Fix your body first. Then earn the right to touch PEDs again.

This is the hard truth, hard to swallow, but it’s the one you need to hear.

thanks to everyone. I've got an appointment with my primary to see about TRT/HRT. I actually had 2 full sets of labs done in the last 2 weeks... why 2? I have no clue, but anyways... Doc is happy with the results. Cholesterol is way down. I'm down 30ish pounds from when I had the stints put in almost a year ago. I guess I just really wanna get back to being a gorilla again. Smile

I totally get that man. But one of the most serious potential side effects of gear are heart issues. having a heart condition and stints already and cycling sounds very risky to me. It’s not worth causing a cardiac event, or worse dying over some quicker muscle gain or fat loss. Even on TRT a very very high percentage of patients suffer from high RBCs, and this is on low doses like 80-150mg a week. High hematocrit and hemoglobin which is very difficult to control. That’s exacerbated further on the higher doses you would typically run on a cycle. Even a lower dose cycle. And high hematocrit and hemoglobin would be really bad news for you.

yeah, I think I'm gonna get on the TRT or HRT. whatever it's called. See how that goes.

Congrats on committing to changing things man. You need to get a handle of where your metabolic and cardiac health is before you can really do much of anything - by that I mean the P90x, forget about PEDs. If you’ve had a recent MI with stents, I’m sure they’ve done an echo, lipids and A1c. Generally, and definitely if you’ve got any degree of heart failure - you need to be talking to your cardiologist before starting a strenuous exercise regime or hormones.

I think most would be okay with you starting a GLP-1 medication and those are readily available peptides (semaglutide, tizepatide and retatrutide) with tons of online videos to walk you through it. If funds aren’t an issue and you want pharmaceutical - the manufacturer of tirzepatide has a discount program that is pretty solid.

Along the peptide train, either GH or the GHRH (sermorelin and tesamorelin) can help with weight loss but you could retain fluid (which is a very bad thing if you’ve got heart failure) - so that is a checkpoint.

I’d start and stop there until your weight is under control and you’ve had a cardiology follow up in 6 - 12 months to recheck things. You’d be doing perhaps some good with TRT but only if you’re truly low and you’re dosing on the lower end and even then you’d be aromatizing a lot and higher E2 levels will cause you to retain fluid.

Good luck man!

thank you.

I’m not sure I’d be cycling with a heart condition man. I guess I’d first want to see how a reputable doc feels about you even being on TRT. Forget the VA. These days there are a plethora of men’s clinics so I’d go there and pay cash if you don’t have insurance. It can be pretty reasonable actually. Make sure they’re reputable though. Many are the equivalent of pill mills for hormones. But many also prescribe weight loss drugs as well, and help with your diet., If your test is low you likely see awesome results with actual TRT and your diet fully dialed in, plus maybe some weight loss drugs if the doctor felt that was appropriate.
