When should one increase testosterone and use PEDs?
I’ve seen a number of posts that indicate that if you aren’t near your natural limit of muscle tissue, then adding additional testosterone or introducing PEDs is not advised.
In my case, I am at 500mg of testosterone weekly. My goal has been to reduce fat while simultaneously gain muscle. According to my DEXA scans, over the past 9 months I have lost about 45 pounds of fat and gained 21 pounds of muscle. I've gone from 235 pounds and 35% body fat to 193 pounds and 18% body fat. I was on a 100mg of Test Cyp for 11 years before I started my fitness journey 9 months ago. I initially upped my testosterone to 200mg a week and eventually landed at 500mg a week. I pin every day.
Assuming I take some advice I received and reduce my testosterone from 500mg to 200mg weekly and incorporate HGH into my regimen and get down to 12-13% body fat, would it then be advisable to increase testosterone and an additional PED to add muscle? My thought is if I hit this fat% goal is that I would increase testosterone, continue with HGH and possibly incorporate Primo or Anavar into my routine because they seem to be the "safest" steroids. I realize I am an older dude and have risks that others don't. My blood work has been good throughout this journey. My overall cholesterol has been reduced. I used to be on blood pressure meds, but don’t need them anymore. I will admit that my goal of getting jacked and shredded is pretty strong and I need to make sure I'm not overriding good health decisions.
Also, I think a knowledgeable fitness and PED coach would be good for me because figuring this shit out is hard.

anvilThis is the answer, start low, as you increase macros slowly or decrease them, look at your body composition. If strength isn't going up, and body composition is getting worse increase gear. Continue to increase at about 4 week intervals until health markers stop you from increasing macros and gear. This is the formula for success. Anyone who says do 500mg pw for 12 weeks is quoting cycles from the 1990s. Or any linear cycles...
I listened to a podcast between kurt havens and vigorous Steve and that was mentioned. Great info! Makes total sense
anvilYes, I listen to them also. I have put this into how I run gear and I wish they had been doing this 15 years ago.
