What is the life expectancy of an AAS user?
ad
It's a question that's been on my mind for a while, specially since I was put on TRT.
I would like to think that most aas users/bodybuilders have a higher life expectancy than average folk. Not only because of the gear, but because of the longevity of exercise habits and simple carb/junk food free diets.
So, barring the occasional aas overdose death case (dnp, insulin, blood thinners etc), is there any reliable research on the long term effects on cycling and how it affects life expectancy?
I believe life expectancy has been lowered yet again in North America. Used to be 80y, then dropped to 75y, then 70y now it's around 68y...

My dad is on Testosterone at age 76 and he's still a beast.....which now that I think about it, kinda sucks because by the time I get the inhertitance money, I'm going to too old to do anything with the hoards of women it should attract.
Lol that's funny right der
LOL! Good to see you post again. Haven't seen much from you lately
MilKmAnI'm sure many will disagree with me but the heavy weights we lift is not exactly that healthy to our bodies, Let alone us pumping steroids into our bodies to go that extra mile. This is why many athletes die young from heart failure. If you want to live long and healthy do cardio...
there is a good bit of studies that prove that weight lifting is extremely beneficial even in older ppl. so im going to have to disagree, to an extent, i agree cardio is important but you need both
MakaveliCD7It's all about moderation and making the right decisions in what to put in ur body and not....this lifestyle is all about longevity...nobody I think is in this for the moment unless they are youngsters that shouldn't be doing AAS anyways....It's "use versus abuse".....that's the key....knowing ur body....taking the proper supps and ancillaries on and off cycle....ur diet....even training bc ur mobility even contributes to longevity....a guy that can walk and exercise versus a guy that has limited mobility and cant get around....genetics is another must...all these factors come into play...
I know plenty of guys that are in there mid seventies that has a history of steroids whether it be recreational usage or doctor prescribed ....they are doing just fine....I think if u research these different compounds....be wise in using a reasonable dose and not improperly cycling with no PCT and stressing ur body out....u def got a great shot at longevity
I look at it like this. When you stop using. Look at professional wrestlers. These guys juice year round all the time doing ridiculous amounts of gear to put their bodies through the show they put on. But have you noticed that when they retire, they die. Think of all the testosterone these guys pump to stay "young". When they stop they go from young to suddenly old. All the problems that they would have developed over time, hits them at once. Maybe I'm wrong but it makes sense to me.
"Bigger, stronger, faster" that football player that was a massive beast while playing pro ball then when he stopped doing aas, he withered away to nothingness...
I think regardless of weather you cycled or not, trt is key to prolonging healthy life longevity...you know, along side being smart and staying away from alcohol, drugs etc...
Wardi77Not saying you are wrong bro, but at the same time these wrestlers are also on painkillers to mask the pain they put their bodies though, then to not be so "down" while on painkillers, they do some cocaine to get a "boost", then after all that is said and done, they drink alcohol at the end of the night to cap it all off. I am not saying all wrestlers do this, but its been documented, I.E Eddie Guerrero. Plus I know an ex-WWF wrestler who has mentioned this to me a couple of times. The amounts of drugs they use is mind blowing. Not just AAS, but recreational drugs as well. Again, not putting down what you said, I am just adding my .02
Solid point the amount some( not all) use is crazy then toss in uppers downers and large amounts of alcohol you are asking for your body to fail.
I totally agree that there is major recreational drug use in there as well and it does contribute to it. Shit, back in the day the Iron Shiek and Hacksaw Jim Duggon got busted together for cocaine and marijauna possession.
You would think WWF wrestrelers are suppose to be the embodiment of health and success.
WithdrawlActually, WWE has a very strict wellness policy. They test everyone for steroids and recreational drugs. First two times caught you are suspended. Third time and you're fired. They will also pay for your rehab if you decide to go. Those guys aren't all drugged up like they used to be. It used to be REAL bad. Now, at least in the WWE, it's gotten pretty cleaned up.
I believe that currently the oldest living steroid user in the world are our own Viking and tread m. Once they kick the bucket, we will have a good idea what to expect. I think both of them are in their late 90's.
lmao!
Holy crap LOL!!
You know you dun fucked up right? Lol
Lol. I'm just hopin they old boys won't see this.
lmao... REAMING seems to be the word of the day when our Texan brother sees this hahahaha
Ohh I won't let Viking miss this, lol. You still wearing that pink thong he made you put on the last time you called him old?
Of course I'm wearing that....backwards.
hahahahaha fuck yeah, the only way imho
If you do it right and don't take unnecessary risks for vanity your life expectancy should be longer than the average person. The objective is health. I have never seen or heard the numbers tho. I was under the impression they just don't have long term research numbers. But as for AAS killing ppl young. Remember the quote from Bigger stronger faster "Show me the bodies"!
I think we are prolonging our lives. Trt patients use testosterone to regenerate the body and mind. If they just walked around with shitty levels ,they would feel shitty and have. Poor quality of life which would eventually lead to their demise. This is all just opinion but I believe those of us who are doing it right (I'm guilty of doing it wrong sometimes) ,we are prolonging our lives.
You hit the nail on the head Nitti. If you use test the right way and do not abuse..it will prolong your life. The big thing we have to consider is family history of diseases.. If you are destined to catch a life threatening disease there is nothing test can do to stop that. My point is it would be very hard to compile these numbers due to the many external factors. If done correctly test sure as fuck won't make you die!
"Trt patients use testosterone to regenerate the body and mind". You are exactly right! When I first began feeling the effects of being hypogonadic, my dr at the time put me on antidepressants, sleeping pills, boner pills and even ADD pills and i just felt worse everyday.
All i needed was to get my levels back up to normal range.
Being on trt changed my life for the positive as well stopped taking a bunch of pills that have nasty long term side effects. That alone prolongs my life
even w/ the clen and t3 and all that other dangerous stuff, believe it or not, our organs are in much better conditions then ppl who dont excerise and diet
Im not sure of stats but one would have to assume intelligence would be the key variable in this here dillema... On one hand an aas user might run liver bashing orals and die of cancer by the age of 50 where as a trt patient such as urself might have at your disposal a genius hrt specialist that is able to find your sweet spot for overall health rather than have ur hormones fluctuating like a mad goat with monthly enanthate injections... Bp,prostate, liver, rbc and cholestorol are all major factors here and i think the population of users is far to large and variable to find any useful stats.
Agreed, being smart is a big part of it. As for having a genius hrt dr... I tell ya, haven't found one that truly knows what he is doing or isn't a judgmental prick. My last doc wanted to put me on once a week test prop injections. Talk about the roller coaster ride from hell...
Your jokin?! Id settle for once a week decanoate but prop!? What is be nuts!? Did u school his arse or what!!
You bet I did. He didn't take too kindly though, he had that whole "i'm the dr here, how dare you tell me how to do my job". Had to find a different doc, sometimes it's the only choice.
biggerthanyouFatass Americans eating fast food tends to cut the life expectancy down a bit.
68yo?!?!? Thats the retirement age in the uk wtf?
lol they want you as sick as possible by the time you hit retirement so you spend your savings supporting the trillion$$ pharma industry and then croak
Wardi77We are all slaves to money, then we die.
Speek for yourself!
Wardi77Ok I'll do that, but I must ask....did you mean to say "Speak" rather than "Speek"? Class over.
I'm a slave to the pootang until I die..
And what does pootang want.... Money! Lol
lmao, I over heard a smoking hot golddigger at the gym talking to another one saying; "The man i marry has to make enough to buy me a $1mm ring"
damn expensive punanny.
Lol im lucky in that sense.. I come from lower class hard working family and my girl has pretty much had everything handed to her on a platter! I dont have a whole lot to offer apart from being able to fuck like a superstar!! (If only for a few minutes lol) shes never asked for anything i couldnt afford and i'd happily work a months overtime just to see in her new dress with her gorgeous smiiiile ;( but any woman with her hand out best be havin her fkn skirt over her head or her arse in the kitchen lmao!!
"I dont have a whole lot to offer apart from being able to fuck like a superstar!!"
Lmao!
Agreed, no girl that's only after you $$ is EVER worth it in life.
Lmaoo, true a lot of the time..
Wardi77Right on bro!
