+ 1 Upsetting
Hello everyone,
Just wanted to share something with you guys, through out the years I have shared on this forum a few personal things, such as about my dad being ill, having a new born etc.
I always get good and positive comments about what I post, as we all know this is a forum for grown ups and for the most part respectful people.
I had an experience with a review I posted, which I do understand that if it doesn’t meet the guidelines it cannot be posted, I got an email about my review being flagged, also all of my karma points were deducted and my picture was change with an image that said SLUT, idk why the people that we trust on, and ask for help if we come across with any issue would act that way, not only so so disrespectful but also being a bully, it is upsetting that some of the dudes that manage this site doesn’t act the way they’re supposed to and instead chose to talk down to us, this is a message for that particular person, try to do better man and show the same level of respect that I show all the members on here.
If anyone wants to share a similar situation I’ll be glad to hear about it.

I think what happened is that your review didn’t meet a few of the forum’s guidelines( or went over 8 reviews in a year ) it happens, man. We all mess up sometimes, and the rules are there for a reason. There are even some posts explaining what happens when someone crosses the line with reviews or promos
one of them is called something like Promo WHORE List or close to that.
You’ve always come across as a good dude and respectful with everyone here, I remember that clearly. But honestly, you were a bit naïve thinking the moderators would care about how you feel or how their actions might offend someone. On the internet, no matter how polite people seem, they’re not really “there.” Some folks will give you solid advice, some will go straight for your throat and they don’t care how you take it. That’s just how it works.
Anyone using these kinds of forums needs a bit of a filter. Places like GH15, Getbig, all those legendary boards — they were the same way. You’ve gotta build a bit of armor, because this ain’t real life.
Here, BFG and Greg are the kings … and honestly, they couldn’t care less about anyone’s feelings. Their goal is to keep order, no matter what it takes. And I can’t even blame them for it; they’ve been doing this for decades, and I’m sure they tried being nicer before, but it just didn’t work.
So basically, it’s simple: either follow their rules or move on. That’s the reality here.
And don’t stress too much about the karma points … you’ll earn that back just by staying active and interacting again, brother. It’s not the end of the world.

I think its more a case of not allowing yourself to become too involved with members on a personal level because they have a job to do in moderating the site continually, if you become friendly with people then its going to make it much harder when enforcing the rules.

You hit the review limit man. That’s the unfortunate penalty for it. Anyone who’s really living this lifestyle can easily exceed 8 legit reviews in a year. So it’s best to just not review everything. Unless it’s a promo and you have to. Which I think is the purpose of that rule. Nobody is going to willingly post more than 8 if they don’t have to, given the consequences. So if you do it’s probably because you had to because most or all were promos. And then you get labeled a promo whore lol. Or you just didn’t know. That happens to many people as well.

Since it means you lied when checking that box and did not, in fact, read said rules. You weren’t singled out. Promo whore is a misnomer. You are allowed only 8 reviews per calendar year. That helps keep the shilling at bay.
The loss of karma goes for anyone no matter who, how much, how nice, how liked, etc. You lost a few, some have lost years worth.
