+ 13 To the new guys wanting to start a first cycle just like me- Please read

ad

I am new to this site. I can't give advice on gear, diet, A.i's or PCT

WHY????? Because I haven't done a cycle yet. I thought I was ready, I have stored a lot of knowledge, and worked my ass off in the gym. I even have the best diet I have been able to manage without failing off the rails at all.

BUT, when I started interacting with the experienced builders I found out real quick that I didn't know anything. So I am up tonight, last night, and the night before reading things have already read.

When someone seems to have an "attitude" or just telling you no, it probably isn't what you think. They have either made the mistakes years ago and learned from them, or seen others do irreversible damage, sometimes serious damage to their body.

Even though I was very well informed and had done a lot of research I still missed so much because of the excitement of the journey I am on. If your journey starts with anabolics then you have passed a lot of steps.

As I said I don't have much advice, because I haven't even ran my cycle, but listen to these guys. Yes it is your body, money, and health, but you have people here that can give educated advice. Not all of their answers are correct, but they are lights years ahead of me and you. Learn from them, compare opinions and then make decisions. People here aren't your doctor, but many of the veterans will try to keep you from harming yourself unless you are unwilling to listen

At the end of the day its up to you, but being disrespectful, or thinking you know it all won't get you the help you likely need.

Why am I not on a cycle. Veteran's made comments that forced me to admit that I am close to ready, but need more time.

Today alone I was looking into nutrition. I posted a thread and got so many great responses. They were helpful. However, four hours later I found a well written article that simplified about every food option and food group that answered so many questions. So research. I did and am still learning something new on here everyday.

I felt like everyone was trying to get me to never do anything to improve my health or meet my goals. they were simply protecting my health and I made the decision to step back for four weeks and learn more.

Again I can't give advice on anything that has to do with a cycle, but i can tell you when they say RESEARCH, it isn't just so you not an annoying person begging to be spoon fed. It is actually for YOUR benefit. I am benefiting daily.

I've been long time member I just can't log into my old account anymore.Certain MOD knows who I am.So don't think I am talking about myself.

Guys I met this kid (he is 22 now) and he told me that he did Tren and Test cycle, first cycle ever BTW. 400mg TrE and 500mg TE per week. I was like WTF!? He was 20 at the time. The worst part about it was that a fireman recommended him this cycle!!! And the same fireman sold him the gear. Why would anyone do that to a kid just to make few hundred bucks, especially someone who is supposed to be a role model?
Well what happened to the kid. Now his both AC joints (calvicular bone meeting the shoulder) are blown, his knees are shit and I'm the end he is 35% bf now. I'm guessing injuries are from getting too strong to quick.
Now he is asking me about doing another cycle. I basically told him to do go see a doctor, get bloods done and come here to LEARN something. OH yeah and to never talk to that fucktard who told him to do Tren on his first cycle.

Greg's picture

Good on you to tell him to see a doctor. But why the fuck would you tell a 22 year old to come here to an AAS candy store to "learn something"?

Gunnison's picture

If he did juice at 20, I was sure he'd do it again regardless of what I told him. At least he can read some of the horror first cycle stories. Kid seems smart, I'm sure he did it because "role model" told him it was ok. If he ever does bloods I will make sure to report his T levels.
I fucked myself up when I was like 21 or so, and I didn't do another cycle until I was 31. Took a break from 35t to 36.

But best advice for the kid would have been, Learn from other peoples mistakes, not your own.

Greg's picture

If he did juice at 20, I was sure he'd do it again regardless of what I told him.

Would you tell a kid where he can find a coke dealer if he told you he snorted a line once?

You're best move would have been to tell him your story and to see a doc and STRONGLY advise against using any AAS. After that he's on his own and you're absolved.

22 year olds don't know how to read much less have the discipline and patience to research. What you did was send a mixed message. "You're too young to do AAS" (wink, nod, passes note to find the best AAS on the internet)

Top notch post. I hope people listen to it. +2 fucko, and welcome to eroids

Imo brother I'd slow ur roll and focus on diet, workout, and keeping it balanced. What do I mean with this balance? Know ur diet, it changes as u change. U need to know what u like and how to mix it up to complement it lifestyle and activities. Know ur macros and how ur affected by changing them up. Know ur workouts and where ur going to workout. I have a membership and a garage gym just to make sure I'm always able to meet my goals. U need to be consistent at these things before u jump to the dark side, otherwise u only damage urself and waste ur money. When ur not stressing over ur diet and workouts, maybe then u might be ready. Ur deffinately on the right track by researching and asking questions. Now just live it for some time, not 1 month but how bout a year. Good luck brother

Thanks for the advice. I am not putting the wrong things in my body, but you made a great point. I went from try to just lose weight, but now retain muscle. I was 277 at my worst point after surgery. That was at a no workout, drink 12 mountain dews a day, and sit in a chair because my foot was blown off by a shotgun.

Now I am committed, and have been for a while, but I am really trying on my diet.

giardap's picture

Just on the bloods you posted below..... just to bring it up the front....

Estrogen at that level. - How do you feel in general? Feel cranky at all, tired? any achey joints or any of that shit? What about cognition? Any low mood in general?... maybe more grumpiness? Anyone commented on your mood?

BUN Creatine... You dont eat a high protein diet do you? You dont lift with high intensity do you? - You do not have the blood values I would expect a serious lifter consuming a lot of protein would have.

Liver values - might want to correlate all of the values there and they are spread out. There is one flag, and at least one enzyme on the floor of the range... may consider a liver cleanse before anything else.

Blood cells - Are you getting enough vitamins and minerals in through green cruciferous veg? nothing major here, but seems like something might be low, in terms of nutrients. I am questioning your food choices here....

mindset's picture

Also please understand I know what to do with my nutrition from here forward, when you discuss blood work thanks for asking questions correlating to the bloodwork vs symptoms because my weakest link is blood work. I just don't know enough yet. The range helps me get a basic understanding, but thats all.

mindset's picture

I had been on a 7 day cruise with normal food the week before blood work. I haven't been lifting heavy or wanting to for a long time, I have simply been losing weight. My traps and shoulders, and back are about, the old place I have had natural gains.

I am not too moody. I have had issues with caring less whether or not I got laid. Just low libido. After 7-14 days I gotta bust one so have no trouble finishing with wife.

VIKING EVOLUTION's picture

i gave you +3 before i typed a word.

Bullshit TRT issued to a guy that probably just needs to train either "correctly" or harder, and nail nutrition to the wall before even dreaming about further stressing his body basically just for either the feel good factor... or the yearning to "ON CYCLE"............ which to me is bullshit because i reckon with the stats he printed (if true) i could give this guy another 15lbs or so with shape and vascularity just from tuned food intake.

Dungeon type gym with the right people around him i reckon is whats missing in this scenario brother.

NO cycle needed at this time.

Sam I Am's picture

I love my Dungeon. Took me years to get it right.
Sometimes I go down there just to admire all my vintage equipment and get away from my wife and daughter. Mother in laws coming this summer. I'm considering going to a split schedule.
Who needs a man cave when you've got a Dungeon...
Got my old 8 track down there to.

Owes a Review × 1
mindset's picture

When you said 8 track I had to look at your profile to see your age. I think every 8 track my dad had left is still in my storage, but would have to get on ebay to find a player. They would probably all fly apart by now.

mindset's picture

I have had no sugar or carbs since Monday. I felt like crap today at the gym. I drank a muscle milk before workout. I have been on machines for a long time, not free weights. Now it chicken, and tuna and all around no empty carbs. Just some broccoli.

Hating it, but if you saw my family genetics you would see I have to get healthy. Mountain dew was a big part of my life for years. Its actually been the hardest part. If that sounds weak as hell it really was hard to quit.

VIKING EVOLUTION's picture

Carbs is the ultimate fuel for humans brother........ you need to keep carbs high unless you are prepping for a competition or something you know........... and you should be hitting carbs pre workout then protein post workout for best results.

Dont blame genetics bro i was a real skinny kid and made the decision to follow my dream of being Arnold................ i blew that away before i was 25 by learning about force feeding, i remember the first time i used test which was really hard to get i blew up like a balloon, that proved to me back then i had my food intake "somewhere near right"....... the steroids hit me hard in a way that most youngsters these days think it will, but the difference was i was eating like a horse and training like a fkn bull.

The hardest part without a shadow of doubt of becoming a bodybuilder is the eating!.... pinning gear or swallowing pills is easy bro............ focusing on 6/7 meals per day and the preparing of said food when living a busy lifestyle (business/family etc) is no mean feat............... its takes heart brother, and a self will that must succeed, nothing! and i mean absolutely fucking NOTHING can be allowed to stand in your way.

Kgp's picture

Dead on. Very motivational.

mindset's picture

Thanks. I believe every word you just said. I know when need carbs, Just trying to lose more weight and that's the only way I did it in 2018.

Force feeding is a pain. I have read so many different posts on what to eat, and how much, I have just been boiling chicken and trying to be as creative as possible, I am not worried about my lifestyle or money as far as food. I can't afford 6 ribeyes a day, but can get a lot of meat.

Honestly, the non meat items is my hardest part to learn. Forget Cauliflower and Cottage cheese if anyone gives me a list. I think I would rather be unhealthy than eat that crap.

VIKING EVOLUTION's picture

Thats all negative to me.

Good luck man.

mindset's picture

Thanks. Everyone keeps saying diet is key. I am trying to learn. Apparently I have learned how to lose weight and now I have to lean to gain muscle without becoming a fatass again.

Read this. Take any info from the legendary Viking as scripture on this site. There is a Mount Rushmore of eroids this man is the first one on it.

Greg's picture

Mount Rushmore of eroids this man is the first one on it.

Not the first one. The only one... four different profiles of Viking.

fusebox's picture

Yes sir. But I do believe there is room for you and pale. And of course if our good friend Ed gets out of of his Mexican prison. Maybe he makes it lol.

mindset's picture

Wow I just read that link in its entirety, twice. Man that guy is for real. Thanks for sharing. I am going to try adding more carbs back and do the 2pm cutoff. I have probably been holding myself back on muscle gains even naturally.

mindset's picture

thanks. I was just checking out his profile and he seems to know it. I just left the gym for the second time today doing abs on the second trip. Man I'm a pussy on ab work

mindset's picture

thanks juicebox. I just got back and am reading now

good post mindset. your off to a strong start bro, your mind is in the right place .

Stick to this attitude and you will make quality gains bro, just be careful not to underestimate someones ability to look at your previous post and find discrepancies and inconsistencies.

Be truthful dude, we all made mistakes in the beginning , failure is the greatest teacher.

johnmarshall12's picture

Good post! Glad to see you're benefitting from the site; it has a lot to offer to those smart enough to use it right! I'm sure when the time is right you will have enough knowledge and confidence to plan a good cycle and do it right! +

giardap's picture

AHEMMMmmmmmBULLSHITahemmmmmm

You just posted bloods a few days back showing a growing issue with low-norm total testosterone and free test completely tanked. And you are stepping back for 4 weeks? Here you are on an anon internet forum commending "veterans" for deriding you?! Man the fk up will ya?!

Some of the advice, particularly about numbers is of the biggest load of shite I've read online and it comes from those who dont have a clue about how to define what a good serum # is.

Your doctor sees you, sees low-norm test with tanked free test, prescribes test presumably to get your numbers to where they SHOULD be. (please note TRT is not necessarily for life, despite what some of the uneducated will say, it can also be used as an intervention). And you turn your back on this because of what some anon with EXP beside his avatar says???? Dont get me wrong, there is a global problem with men's healthcare, but for all you know, you might just have jumped out of the frying pan and into the fire.

Do these anons know you or how to define whether or not you are symptomatic of low test or low estro? Have they seen your full bloods? Do they know what point on the range a man of your age should be at? (clearly not). Jesus the list is endless. And what about you.... where has your test conversation with the doc gone? Are they able to recommend restart therapies instead of, or after a trt intervention? Again the list of questions is endless.

Seems to me like you got your priorities crooked. At least you are into research. Go research ranges and how to define your place on them. Get full bloods to correlate the various endocrine systems and find where the problem lies. Learn approaches to fix those issues or manipulate the endo system to improve your situation. and DONT listen to me just because I have an orange tag, sure look at my pic, my head is up my own arse, what would I know, get an experienced mens health endo's help.

Get your health sorted man, it's slipping. (FYI - for me personally and we are not the same, at 400-425 I am borderine suicidal from low estro caused by so called low-norm test - I mean this literally).

DfromPhilly's picture

Lol always getting to the bottom of shit. Nice catch and as always (well, most times anyway ;) solid advice

press1's picture

Pal the guy's been registered here for barely 6 days and already done 4 forum posts gaining him 26 karma - I think a lot of these things are being said purely to rank up his karma and he's doing well at it ...

DfromPhilly's picture

This is what I get for not being around. I didn’t see any of this backstory or I wouldn’t have thumbs upped it. It is a good post though that people can benefit from so I’m letting him keep the 2 I gave him.

VIKING EVOLUTION's picture

I just spent half hour reading through logs...... i have to agree with you.

+3 brother................ Mods will deal with these issues but thanks for being observant, some of us here have spent nearly a decade building this site into what it is today.... without good members we are nothing.

press1's picture

Thankyou Very much mate - Awesome to see you back! :))

I'm sure many will agree with me when I say its just like seeing a very welcome old best friend, extremely nostalgic...When I first joined here I spent many an hour reading your posts and comments and learned so much from them when I was first getting into the exciting world of gear as a newbie.

Some of my favourites were the trick of using peanut butter to coat orals to stop the gut burning & slowing the release of the hormone, the importance of creatine and BCAA's and how they are as effective as a basic test cycle, and the classic 'IF YOU CHOOSE TO EAT LIKE A FKN BIRD YOU WILL LOOK LIKE A FKN BIRD...... CHOOSE TO EAT LIKE A GNARLY FKN MONSTER!..... GUESS WHAT? THATS RIGHT.... YOU WILL BECOME THAT MONSTER IN YOUR DREAMS......Haha All Legendary stuff man!!!

Please don't dissappear again buddy Smile

VIKING EVOLUTION's picture

Bro fist brother........... talking about nostalgia, i am planning to do a series of posts that hopefully will be motivational for a lot of members...... i plan to log out my life starting right from the beginning upto present day. This will encompass approx 37yrs of gym and AAS use.... competitions ranging from local gym versus gym then moving through the bigger more popular comps all the way to my Universe attempts..... i will make it as real as it can be... highlights, pitfalls, happy days , shit days etc etc... everything is so fresh still in my mind so it should be fairly easy to put down in words and create some inspiring reading for those that choose.

Makwa's picture

I can't even remember what I had for breakfast yesterday. Looking forward to reading it.

We all miss your posts brother. I cannnot wait

Dacky's picture

Awesome. I am so in to read these. Thank you as always for sharing as you do!

Ozninjaguy's picture

I have read all the the OPs forum topics, posts and replies, and without dumping on the guy, I reckon it could have all been summarised\condensed into the one thread.

dimi4p's picture

Good point press1

Owes a Review × 1
giardap's picture

The amount of times I have offered a few thoughts to someone who was up to exactly that p, is unreal. so yeah it happens man, it does. But you will never see me automatically assume it and abuse someone.

This fella was posting his prescription when called a liar! No evidence in tracking of him being on promo pages etc.

So me, I stick with the evidence, try assume the best, and if he turns out to be a leech I cgaf and move on bro.

mindset's picture

Then take away karma from me. I am not here to rack up karma. I haven't even ran a cycle, so as long as people can answer my questions I don't care. I love talking to people, but my rating doesn't mean anything until I actually know what i am talking about. I decided to wait on a cycle. probably the only thing I have done 100% right and that was this post, but made an arse of myself in other situations, so it isn't about karma.

press1's picture

Yeah Yeh - You might have convinced others but not me. If you love talking to people then thats what FB is for - this is a site for people running steroids/have run cycles/TRT and are serious about training. I can't take away karma from you as you are saying 'all the right things' aren't you ...

addicted.to.pain's picture

thats press1 for ya mindset, he will call bullshit on you quicker than anyone.

As I didn't have the nuts to as everyone else is praising you, but I agree with press something about you just isn't copacetic .

mindset's picture

Call me on whatever you want or think. I was going to mix my trt 200 with my test e 250 and then most said I was wrong to cycle. I took their advice. I guess I will talk to you guys after I start I guess. When I say I love talking to people I mean people that can further my knowledge and well being. I know more than a lot of people pre cycle, but apparently didn't know enough. If you feel I am not being upfront with you about something that is your issue I guess.

See you after I am on cycle.

VIKING EVOLUTION's picture

Chill out bro.

Do whatever you plan to do but do it the right way, and do it well.

fusebox's picture

Here is the issue g. We can't give the op the advice he needs. Like you said a good men's health Endo. If it's left up to us here we will shoot holes through all of his ideas unless he's done his homework on it. He didn't. Got all defensive and eventually saw that something wasn't right. Maybe he needs it maybe he doesn't. We don't know and it should be left up to some one who actually knows his head from is own arse. An actual Endo. Just my two pennies mate. Not arguing or agreeing

giardap's picture

There is no argument at all brother man! You have pretty much said exactly what I am thinking. He needs an (mens health) endo. So yeah man. I agree 110% with you. Absolutely. +'s

My issue with the OP is that he is listening, possibly, to bad advice (your numbers are great you fool you etc etc). So OP is flip flopping and gonna do what he is gonna do....but on the other side of the coin... in the same vein that he should be maybe looking to a current problem... EXP members shouldnt be saying he is absolutely fine, because for the exact same reasons.... we just dont know anything other than he is 200 points below average. The EXP members dont understand ranges and flippantly throw advice out without basic questions being asked.

So endo is needed,.... maybe lol

Or maybe OP is after karma.

I dunno, who knows?!!

mindset's picture

Being called a liar will always make me defensive. Calling me confused or dumb will never bother me, my wife reminds me of those types of things daily.
