AnonI was txted pics via screenshots in my downtime of the drama for entertainment and its sad.. i'm sure I missed a lot, but whats there to bitch about? to my knowledge Angus donated 100% of his prize to EVERYONE equally making them all winners.. I sure as hell hope the EBC wasn't about impressing your fellow bro's on this site, because that would be pretty gay, literally.
In the real bodybuilding world guys train a full year for a show, perfect diets, chemical regimes that would kill some of us, only to lose before they step on the stage because someone else competing has a high profile coach and are deemed the winner before the show even starts - yes, thats how it actually happens. Ya'll got judges who gave up their free time, get paid shit, guys like Carlos and Tread who approach us sources to donate and hound us, and us sources who donate to make a prize that is enough to get you labeled as a steroid manufacture..
I really hope so I great idea that Grrrrl and Goth came up with turns into something negative because its something that makes eroids unique, and great.

I just seen this post & this is just crazy to read all the comments, all of what happened! WOW I don't really know what else can be said that hasn't already been said.
I really can't believe I'm reading all this. It wasn't that long ago that Gothic came up the Idea for the EBC for all the fellas (yes fellas beause I was the only Grrrl here at the time) to SHOW the Eroids community that THEIR source of choice was the best AND had good solid gear. At the time we were innundated with reviews about "it's fire" ad nausem but no one had the balls to back up their claims with before and after pics. So the EBC was born for YOU to show all of us that your claims could be backed up with real world results. I m not so naive and old to think that things will not evovle and the EBC certainly has; but, to see all this BULLSHIT really burns me up. What should be something that shows us your determination and dedication to bettering yourselves has been twisted into this disgusting mess of UNGRATEFULLNESS and ENTITLEMENT ... I am disgusted.
tread-mAnything great will fall. Key here is i put all this in the hands if the best fukin guy i know. A guy who checks his ego at the door in a place where ego's are not only not checked at the door, they inflate 100 fold coming in the door. This guy and i communicate daily as you and i do...every single time i talk to him i respectt him more. If there is hope for EBC, and of course there is, he is that hope.
the key will be is seeing if Mods will take it over and micr-manage it to death or stay out of itt and keep there support and comments out here where they belong and i think as always they will.
i was always impressed the stayed out of the "actual EBC page" leaving it the pure and letting me run it and im hoping they continue because my boy CD can do this if left to do it and he has a heavy enough hand to keep it pure but a soft enough touch to do it without the chaos and not ego driven. The last thing it needs is more ego.
Even though i dont agree with all the comments or the way they are delivered i do have an appreciation for the fact they are out here and not in there. Not sure how to even take this? it does have a passive aggressive tinge to it and seems completely out of context seeing that MODS specifically steer clear of the EBC as to not even leave any impression of impropriety (once again, for the sake of integrity) and as far as I know have never done anything to steer EBC Admin? I know for myself I have PM'd Carlos on 2 occasions during this EBC with suggestions that were always qualified with "this is only a suggestion" and " this is 100% your show". I know for a fact that even the Big man himself remains as hands off as he possibly can... TBH we are all much too busy and appreciate and respect the hard work and effort that goes into putting on the EBC and I (for one) appreciate NOT having to have the EBC added to my daily walk throughs... But you bet your ass Admin will step in when slanderous (libelous?) remarks are made (in the guise of "opinion") that attempt to derail the integrity of this board and/or injure the character of those who have worked tirelessly in its operations
I get the impression tread is anti-establishment, anti-MOD at the moment and i dont understand why!..... maybe he could come in here and clarify in public what he thinks that we are doing that is so bad or irritating.. MODS will never have anything to do with the running of the EBCs ever like you stated, the boss has made that crystal clear that zero MOD time can be taken up with running something that is secondary to our initial task of running and maintaining the site.
This last EBC only saw my presence when the shit hit the fan the other day and that was because i was prompted by carlos!.. i have not been in all season even to give tips or motivate anyone.. thats the level of distance i have kept all season, and my last post on this thread was basically asking folks to allow carlos space and peace to fulfill his task.

AnonYou and HWood have been true friends to me during the last few days. Not only did both of you come and wish my your condolences you both supported the EBC and my decisions. At no time have either of you made me feel pressured or that either of you were imprinting your opinions on me. For that I truly thank you both.
I know the caliber of man Tread is and behind the scenes off of this website he has been a true friend to me during this stressful time. Regardless of what he meant or how he meant it, it's not my place to get in the middle. I can't speak for him but if can only give my own perception and it is that Big and the Mods support the decisions made by the EBC organizer. At the current time I am that person. Trust me it isn't by choice. I am in a situation that was laid before me and a situation that forced me to make a decision. My heart belongs here. My time over the the now almost 3 yrs has shaped and molded my character like I never would've imagined. I can only try my best and hope it is good enough. As long as BFG still approves of it I will carry the burden of organizing the EBC. I may not be the flashiest the funniest or most charismatic member but I am a steady and consist force. I grind things out regardless of pain or stress. I will be here until I am no longer able. I know the rules BFG placed on the mods regarding the EBC. I will respect them and only call on admin when I truly need your support. That you have my word on brother. This place is a machine and each of us our moving parts that have a role and duty to perform. I refuse to ever be a weak link in that machine. You guys can count on me brother.

angusHaha, reading down a little further I remember getting into a heated discussion with Greg, but like two full grown men it was just that, a discussion. I was also a judge when when gorillafit came at me last round. It was no big deal, I took it to PM and difused the situation. Point is that the scoring system is fair and honest and takes your feelings out of it. Lots of yes or no questions, very little room for interpretation. My son could do the same job as I can. It is a thankless job, yet one we are proud to do......there's irony in there somewhere.
II guess the whole point of this thread is that thousands of thankless hours have been poured into giving someone the chance to showcase their wares. I see two winners that are thankless and one is very vocal about it. The smug attitude and the self-entitlement is not what the EBC was founded on and perhaps a more deserving winner should be chosen. Most guys are absolutely stunned by their placement, me included, if we can't find deserving guys then what is the point?
For those that think it is a popularity contest last winnner was a little known pro that has like 100 karma and the time before that was a complete unknown with 36 karma. Popularity contest? I think not, in fact I felt that my popularity would hurt me more than help me on this go around just so people would think that.
C'mon, lets be real, they did a great job. I laughed at the tie breaker but one of the areas of judging is presentation so some lost points for presentation. but I'm not sure where the #2 contestant is getting his panties in a bunch, I GAVE AWAY ALL MY WINNINGS, how does that justify your being upset?

Let me just add a sentence or two here seeing that angus is touching on our site integrity and honest member issue when judging our EBCs.
SuzyB has been an EBC judge TWICE now...... the first one went fine but something went array with her work shedule the last time and she was unable to find the time to properly do the competition justice! ( that in itself shows the TIME and HONESTY that judging demands).
Most importantly what i need to mention here is that even though i am a MOD and we live under the same roof!.... i was not privvy to her specific scoring system or final 5 choices.... she was told specifically to have ZERO contact with any other judge by PM or any other method ( yes we do have tel numbers and emails for certain members/close friends ).
The only person at that time who had access to her final 5 choices and placings was tread!.. and that was only 24hrs previous to placings being published on open forum....... also may i add.. judges have ZERO to gain!... there is NO free gear, NO karma points added, NO names advertised on the board to give an "ego tickle"..... NOTHING but selfless giving of time and effort!!
That my friends is what being an EBC judge encompass,s...... and this contest lost tread for whatever reasons which left Carlos on his lonesome to deal with the source logistics, judges, basically EVERYTHING!...and its not over yet!.. prizes have to be organised and shipped etc, etc, etc,.....SO!..... IF I SEE OR HEAR OF ANYONE EVEN BREATHING DOWN HIS NECK I WILL COME DOWN SO FKN HARD FEET WONT TOUCH............ GIVE THE MAN SOME SPACE AND LET HIM FULFILL THE TASK AT HAND IN PEACE.
SO if you are ever approached to judge one of our EBCs...... please bear these facts in mind before jumping in blindly.

I was truly blessed by the sponsorship from muta and I feel that it would be greedy of me to take that sponsorship AND the winnings. I'm a humble guy, I have no stash and I want to give back to the community that has given me so much. You guys did a terrific job.

Anything that is "judged" will ALWAYS leave some people with a bitter taste in their mouth. How many UFC fights have you watched, that went to the judges cards, and the result left you baffled? LOTS! It's the nature of the beast.
I'll be honest, I didnt agree with some of the placings, heck Angus looks like he doesn't even lift ..... KIDDING, but it is was it is. The last EBC I completed I was butthurt about the results but I kept it private, and looking back Im glad I did as I was clearly DQ'd. When the dust settled I realized I had won as I had changed for the better.
Like Pank said, lets keep this as its supposed to be, a celebration of what all competitors accomplished.
I hope this doesnt compromise future EBCs as myself as well as many others are pumped to get in another one.

I will add my .02 as well. I was a judge in a past EBC and I have to say it was honestly a mental burden. I have done a lot in my life but I went over and over and over my choices and still felt as clueless in the end. Even second guessing my choices which I do not do with anything else.
That being said if after all that someone were to take a big shit on me I would not have been as apologetic as Carlos felt he should be. Which he shouldn't be at all. Everything here on this site is a privilege. If we paid then we would be customers and have rights to complain, but we don't have any rights even if we are right or think we are right about an issue it doesn't mean shit. When you go into a man's house he can set whatever rules he pleases and throw you out without telling you why.
Carlos gave and asked nothing in return I also know because I consider him a friend he is going through tough times in real life. Then he has to hear about this childish shit in the online world of the piss and moan club. To be honest I read the post earlier where angus explained the goal of the EBC. It was to bulk. In my opinion I thought MJ looked the best but like angus said it was about bulking. All this went down while I was at work for eight hours....crazy. I know that if I were getting free gear for busting my ass on a free competition I wouldn't be bitching. A lot of other things in the world to be bitching about.. Oh ya congrats to the winners!!!!
