+ 1 Speculation on PRO BodyBuilder Cycles

ad

These types of threads are an inadvertent danger.

What generally happens is that a curious individual will open a post to speculate on what a Pro BB is taking. Then other memebers chime in and start spewing ridiculous dosages and compounds. These claims to compounds and dosages are always followed by the attestation "well I know this because I know a few pros".

Great, now all of a sudden your ridiculous claim is valid because you "know" someone who is pro, taking XYZ compound in set dosages. Not only that, you stated XYZ compound / dosage to a curious individual who may have claimed they aren't interested in being a pro; but might give that stated cycle a try to see what it brings them.

Let's keep the hearsay and bro-science bullshit to a minimum. Most pros are not going to openly talk about what they take and how much they take. If they confide in others it is generally trainers, fellow competitors and close friends. Speculation that they all cruise on 2grams of test year round is BS and shouldn't be advertised to the uninitiated.

Like I've said before and as many will agree with, drugs are not what mold the physique. Johnny Gym rat could take exactly the same compounds at the same dosages and duration as Ronnie Coleman and guess what, the chances of stepping on an Olympia stage for Johnny gymrat are still slim to none. Genetics, training, diet, recovery / drugs. That's the order of importance for building a pro physique. Any attempt to use drugs to compensate for a lack of the other stated factors would result in a myriad of health problems, and an extremely short bodybuilding career.

Mr Olympia is generally regarded as someone who is a genetic marvel. The first and only Mr Olympia to die was Sergio Olivia at 71 years old. If drugs were the deciding factor for all pros, then surely all of these Mr Olympias would be keeling over left and right; instead of guys who haven't experienced the same amount of success, yet drugged themselves into a pro status in spite of their genetics.

I can't even find a copy and paste online that is anywhere near this. A year old dangerous thread has been resurrected.

White Bolt's picture

No, I'm no IFBB pro. I only run anabolic steroids not insulin, hgh, or peps. This was a cycle layout of an IFBB pro BFG posted on another forum some time ago.

I thought it was fascinating to read what the big boys are doing and wanted to share the intensity of their drug regimen. Yes, I agree for the average joe to jump into this cycle would be dangerous and I wasn't recommending any such thing. I assume people have more common sense than that.

VIKING EVOLUTION's picture

Its one of mine he found somewhere.

Bro i know you're trying to help the newbs from making mistakes, but at a pro level it is ALL about the drugs and the quality of the drugs u take, specifically slin and growth. And anyone who says otherwise is living in a dream. Yes, obviously diet has to be on point, but without the slin and growth you'd never get past the old school look, which is really not that big. When we say pros have amazing genetics, we mean they have amazing genetic response TO HORMONES. They can handle those huge amounts every day whereas the typical gym rat would feel like shit on all that (i know cuz i tried). Genetics decide the shape of your muscles and the amount of muscle cells in your body, today with HGH on the market we can make new muscle cells/fibers, so pretty much anyone could get to pro size with enough GH to produce enough muscle fibers. And the reason the mr olympias arent keeling over and dying is because steroids do not kill you. Drugs kill. Not hormones. Yeah they will fuck up your hpta but u won't die.

Iron_Addict0929's picture

Yeah I am absolutely trying to prevent newbs from making mistakes but when people are stubborn then they'll do what they want anyway.

Yes it's obvious that there is a cocktail of things that go into a pro physique (HGH / Slin- yeah hyperplasia and more efficeint use of calories, trust me I get it), but honestly the claim that all pros are cruising at 2-3 grams a week of T is ridiculous. And to think anyone can be a pro with just a shit ton of drugs; that's living the dream. Bodybuilding is big where I'm from. I have a friend who is a pro that takes much less than a few of my friends who have been banging the national NPC circuit for the past 5 years. The one who is a pro actually grows into shows and recomps. His contest prep drug schedule is a little more aggressive, but his offseason bulking regimen is very mild. I've seen many people on this forum post dosages higher than what he takes in the offseason.

Amazing genetics does equal genetic response to hormones...ex, Kevin Leverone. Walked around at 220 year round, soft. Competed at 240-250 zipped. That's one part of genetics. The other is structure. You can't fix poor structure. No amount of hypertrophy / hyperplasia makes up for poor genetic insertions. So yeah GH/IGF1/Slin will induce additional size that steroids can't on their own, but an ugly physique is still an ugly physique (Branch Warren, Trey Brewer, Cody Lewis all have terrible insertions. Forced mass with poor structure. Branch is the exception, he turned pro, the other 2 won't).

As far as the last bit, steroids in large amounts have cardiac side effects among other things. Shift in cholesterol, increase in BP, increase RBC / Hematocrit. Plenty of side effects that come into play that can effect the overall quality of someones health especially in dosages in astronomical amounts and a constant duration. The constant beating of high dosagaes effects way more than just the hpta / endocrine system.

I 've competed in bodybuilding for a few years. Nothing large scale, at my biggest I was 220 for prejudge and 224 for the night show (aprx. 4.5% bf). At 6ft tall it's hardly huge by any means but it was good enough to earn my class and qualification for nationals at a couple occasions. I never did nationals because I would be outsized, and too tall. I would need to carry a lot more mass at my height. The point of this is that most of my comps were done with limited financial resources. My cycles were not huge or elaborate. From some of th dosages people boast and post, I would expect some big dudes here but instead I see some with physiques that can be obtained naturally but claim they're on 1200mg a week of test and equal amount or tren with 100-150 mg Adrol etc..To each their own but I would have rather mastered everything else first prior to the drugs.

I knew that when I posted this it wasn't going to be well received but in all honesty when I looked at some of the dosages stated on the below post, I have to call bullshit and pull the trigger. I hate to say it, but yes it's true...some people can grow very well on a smaller dosage of drugs than others. I'm sorry but it's fact. The old 'what do pros take' is an excuse and sounds whiny, like 'I don't look like that because he takes 15K a year in gear'

wallabokkie's picture

Hey mate in regards to claimed doses from members on this site. Keep in mind you have a lot of guys who will say anything to look good on the board when in actual fact they see full of shit. Yes there are Lot of guys tar shouldn't even be looking at a vial yet in their development but as you said people will do what ever they want regardless. But any one who says that pros cruise on 2g a week is automatically considered in my book a Wanker

Iron_Addict0929's picture

Haha, I like your book. Agreed, that is a wanker approach.

kodiakGRRL's picture

Last time I checked two or three grams isn't "cruising"

Iron_Addict0929's picture

Nope, I wouldn't ever consider it a cruise. More like a high-speed joy ride on the interstate.

Some of the dosages in the below thread were just a little off the cuff, sort of struck a chord with me.

http://www.eroids.com/forum/steroids-qa/anabolic-steroids/how-many-cycle...

mjunkie's picture

Well i have never made any claims about exact amounts pros use, but i do know they are using much much more then we are. Anyway AAS can only get u so big, at which point u start to need drugs (hgh, slin) to keep progressing. Meaning- we have a limited amount of muscle cells, now we use steroids to help grow these cells until their 'natural' limit, at this point we add in HGH and make new muscle cells, then we add back in anabolics again and grow these new cells until their maximum capacity and then repeat. So u see drugs play a very important part in bodybuilding. Maybe not in an amateur level but at (mr olympia) pro level this is the only way if u want to be standing on that stage at a ripped/dry 250+ lbs

I agree with pretty much everything u just said though. Although branch warren used to have a great physique IMO and i believe he fucked that up using too much slin, so yeah like u said forced mass. And the reason u didn't need too much aas/drugs to get to your size is once again genetic response, but who is to say u wouldn't have gained another 5-10 lbs with a bit more aas? You'll never know...

And u might say muscle tissue can only grow so fast, but when u look at the top bb'ers today, and i'm talking specifically about phil heath here, he went from being a scrawny basketball player to mr olympia in 10 or less years. Drugs? Genetics? Or both? I say it's a mixture of both, and the knowledge of how to use these two to his advantage. Just because u have good genetics and unlimited aas hgh and slin doesnt mean you can be mr olympia one day, there is a way to do things, the timing of using high test, low test, hgh, no hgh, and so on...

Iron_Addict0929's picture

Phil Heath is an excellent example of a genetic freak. He obviously responds to all the hormonal stimuli very well, but his structure is superb. He has such a 3 dimensional look to his muscles and just very proportionate. That's a testament to genetics at its finest, a combination of quality mass and good lines/symmetry. His physique reminds me a lot of Kevin levrone, and I always thought he got the short end of the stick at some of the Olympias.

Like I said, I posted this thread after reading the other one where random dosages where just being spewed out on an open forum and tagged as pro cycles. Everyone seemed fairly convinced that pros are running 2-3 grams of t a year along with everything. Read through that post and you'll understand why. Personally I'm helping a kid at my gym right now. He's 19 years old, been training for a year and has run test, tren, dbol and winny. The kid started gear 6 months into training, has only took 3 weeks off and then hopped back on. He has no clue how to train and after talking to him, no clue how to eat. He's doing the drugs because he wants to do bodybuilding and do 'big things'. I can respect his ambition but I can't idly sit and watch the kid drug himself without having much of a clue and hoping to make it big competitively. I fully understand that at the upper level things are a bit different, but I cringe at the thought of what he's doing now and could only imagine his gains if he had a better grasp on everything. Some guys are so blind with ambition that they aren't sure what they are getting themselves into. If he was at a different level with his development at his age, I wouldn't be so aghast by the situation. So from my POV I just didn't want young, ambitious kids/newbs to see a post like that and think that's exactly what they have to do right now.

kodiakGRRL's picture

the top pros are GENETIC freaks.. that is the difference between those that make it on stage and those that don't .. they have the genetics and the genetic response to running gear and all the ancillaries associated with it ..

mjunkie's picture

100% but to say they don't rely on ass/hgh/slin/igf1 to hold that massive size is ridiculous, obviously genetics, diet, and consistency have got to be there but so does the consistency of the drugs they take need to be there, am i wrong?

kodiakGRRL's picture

not all .. in fact, I didn't see that statement saying that they don't need/use hgh/slin/igf 1 etc etc... .. of course they do use all that and more to hold their size.. I guess my point is that you can do alll of those things and if you don't have the genetics you aren't ever going to get that big.

ak47's picture

People don't realize but insulin is the single most dangerous yet anabolic injection one can take. It is THE biggest difference in the pro physique....it can and will kill you though.

Slin and HGH, lots of HGH, are what the pros I know use. That along with other steroids.

MuscleMutant's picture

Why do you think Insulin WILL kill you?

Greg's picture

When too much insulin is present, as in an overdose, the amount of sugar removed from the bloodstream is excessive. The brain needs sugar to function, and excessively low blood sugar can lead to various symptoms. Headache, sweating and tremors can occur when blood sugar begins to get low, as well as dizziness, confusion, and heart palpitations. Other symptoms that can occur in someone who has overdosed on insulin are mood problems, and even coma or death.

http://www.ehow.com/how-does_5157484_happens-overdose-insulin.html

mjunkie's picture

That's fine, that guy is saying it as if it's a sure that it'll kill u. Insulin will not kill u as long as u have enough sugar.

kodiakGRRL's picture

LOL.. I get your point but ak is quite correct taken incorrectly slin WILL kill you, that isn't a maybe or possibly it is quite the fact ;-) ... too much insulin = not enough sugar / yeilds dirt nap ...

mjunkie's picture

Agreed, emphasis on the word incorrectly. Which is why we don't talk about it here. Slin is no joke and should only be done by someone who is responsible enough to learn his bodies response to it (BS levels, and how carbs effect bs levels etc). But once u have that part locked down i won't say it's safe, but it's pretty simple to use without dying.

Iron_Addict0929's picture

Plenty of guys run slin and have no idea what they are doing, don't own a glucometer and arent even sure of their body's natural response to insulin sensitivity.

Insulin is very delicate, requires an accurate timing and a calculated carb count per unit that is tailored to the individual, unless one wants to look like the Michellin Man. And it can certainly kill you. Part of hypo is cold sweats. Some people will naturally hop into a hot shower while going hypo and think nothing of it, and it ends up being the last shower they take. Knowing the signs of hypo is fine, but catch a guy during contest prep and he doesn't know what day of the week it is let alone if he had his insulin with amino acids and powerade or aminos and a powerade zero.

Greg's picture

Hard to get sugar if you're confused and pass out...
The symptoms come on suddenly and if not recognised soon enough death can occur.

Just food for thought... know the risk

I'm giving ak47 the benefit of the doubt. I believe what he meant was, "....it can and will kill you though (if the symptoms aren't recognized and treated first).

mjunkie's picture

Yeah they come on pretty quick, but anyone who uses slin will at some point go hypo, i personally let myself go hypo a couple times just so i can learn what it feels like and look out for it.

Iron_Addict0929's picture

Slin and HGH is the difference between the look of current pros opposed to the pros of the 70s, absolutely.
