snapped up shoulder
Imma get strait to the point I fucked my shoulder up really bad I can't lift it 6 inches from my side my doctor thinks I pulled the tendon. I got some scans on Monday well today technically. He wrote me a script for Norco hydrocodone/acetaminophen for the pain. I heard these things raise cortisol levels and destroy muscle gains... not only that but I can't lift until further notice :( god this blows.... but is it true that these drugs hinder your muscle? Cause that's a double whammy no lifting plus muscle wasting I can't have it!! I'll struggle through the pain till it heals.
Thanks guys, I'm also a little worried cause I used to be a pill junky not opiates but benzodiazapines...
For the beginners who may read this (something I know better to do but did anyways) don't try and lift more than your joints tendons and ligaments can take sure the muscle can do it but the rest may not be ready I'm making noob mistakes again trying to be a badass....

Get some rest,,,used those meds sparingly and only as needed and get back to training when you recover.
Thanks for the tip as of right now I've been hitting my legs and cardiovascular and some light upper body work things are coming back to normal
Time to start BPC157 and Thymosin beta-4. Oh, and physical therapy.
A bit beside the point but I would look into one of those TENS units as well.
im dealing with same issue. i saw my dr and he referrd me to a specialist. so i saw an orthopedic and he said i have mild tendinitis. so he gave me a cortisone shot and told me to take it easy for next 4-6 weeks. i can perform all shoulder excersises except for shoulder presses. stay away from the pain pills unless you need them for pain. take some ibuprofin or diclofenec soduim for inflamation. unfortunaly your tendons and ligaments do not grow as fast as your muscles. good luck with recovery
so hard to not just grab the heaviest weights and go for it. A few weeks into a cycle I pushed it too far with dumbell presses and destroyed my shoulders.
AAS will make muscles a lot stronger way before tendons/ligaments.
MK-677 or a ghrp/semoralin with tb-500 .... something I'd like to try
Update:
Shoulder is a lot better already doc gave me the okay to return to some light duty working out. I was scared I was going to lose weight in faCT I gained 4 pounds all fat but I needed my comfort food lol I'm happy to be back at it. Also I took the prescription drugs and trashed the rest without an issue I guess I'm able to control my addiction better now.
Thanks for all the support from everyone means Alot I got more support from people who don't even know my name then people I've known my whole life! This is a great community
I just went through this brother, I feel your pain. I fucked mine up at the very beginning of my last cycle doing bench. Sounded like some one tore a rag in half. Scan showed multiple tears in multiple ligaments. Pain for the first week was horrible. They set me up to see an orthopedic surgeon, but I didn't go just not an option for me right now can't afford to miss work. I struggled through it and it's finally starting to feel almost normal again. Took a good six months of taking it easy and skipping certain exercises that caused to much pain. I bought a sling shot to assist my bench when I was finally able to start benching again and it helped tremendously I only use it now when I get above 400 pounds. Anti inflammatories also help. Just take it easy bro. If you have any questions along the way hit me up. I'll let you know what helped me.
Thanks for sHaring your story bro. Problem is I'm allergic to both ibuprofen and Naprosyn which is motion and aleve so both anti inflammatory drugs I can't take sucks ass. Right now the pain isn't as bad as it was it hurts the most when I lay down and especially after I wake up. Same thing happened with mine it sounded like a ripping kinda noise and my whole arm felt like I hit my funny bone I was also benching a new high for me 385 got it up the first two reps third one half way up I dropped not quickly I set it down on my chest as slow as I could and my gym partner and another guy grabbed it my gym partner had to drive me home and wife went and got my car cause the funny bone tingling lasted about 45 minutes. I was taking extra time off cycle this time cause I used dbol I usually run test only but I want to make sure I'm good and recovered from the cycle this time. What I plan to do is still take that extra time plus adding the same amount of time it take my shoulder to heal. I was gunna start a new cycle in June I'm probably going to wait until august or September now
Man that does suck about the anti inflammatory. That would help a lot with the swelling. It's funny you mentioned you were taking d Bol at the time. That's exactly what I was taking along with deca and test. Was the first time for me using evil and I blew up. Was getting to strong to quick and didn't give time for my tendons and ligaments to catch up. Probably will not used bil again but if I do I'll be a lil more careful next time. Hope you get better soon man.
Damn bro I'm sorry to hear this. I Hope u recover quickly . It sucks when you can't go as hard as you want in the gym.
Yeah no shit man. Thanks bro
Keep us updated. Injuries are a part of this lifestyle. Mitigating long term injury and embracing "slow and steady" is the key, always. That sucks for guys like me who want to "do it all, do it right now" and over indulge in everything, but I gotta keep telling myself to keep it slow and steady. It works. Rooting for you, brother.
Thanks bro I appreciate the kind words. It's not to serious enough to keep me out of the gym for a few weeks which blows but I'm managing it fine I'm still doing cardiovascular and legs
GH is not a bad idea bro. I tore my left distal biceps tendon about 40% the way through and the orthopedic surgeon wanted to cut the rest off and bolt it back on to the bone. Would have taken me out of the gym for 8 months to a year.
Told the doc I had access to GH and was shocked when he said, "GearHead, ethically I can't prescribe that to you for this situation, but I would try it before we cut." About 2 months later, we took new pictures and it had scarred over and I had full use of the arm.
Doc said, unfortunately, American medicine isn't quite there yet.
I would but first I've never used planned to never use it and the damage isn't that bad so imma wait it out see what happens. And gh is expensive
Update:
So far I'm using the Norco breaking the tablet in half I'm not getting high off of it it's just taking the throbbing and sharp pain away well not completely it's dulling it but it's helping. I only got 20 of them so getting out of control with them would be really hard... I am half tempted to buy some GH to heal this baby up a bit faster lmfao ;) jk. Sucks cause I just finished a cycle and pct ended last Friday I'm at a crucial time right now... I'm freaking out lol
Yes pain meds do increase cortisol mainly with chronic use, but pain and the stress that pain causes your body will have much more of a detrimental effect than the pain meds. Use them only if you need them, don't over do it.
If you are an ex pill junkie, I wouldn't risk it. Addiction is a problem that is rooted in a place that is far deeper than just the substance. That is why addicts can fix one problem by creating another. In other words, it doesn't really matter what you were addicted to if you have an addictive personality. You are taking an awfully big risk.
You're right on that I posted another forum of my addiction to aas. It's not uncontrollable but I love the shit. And Im breaking then in half as of right now. As,far ad the damage I was told it should heal within the month nothin permanent but I can't do any lifting for awhile I'm about to have some big ass legs and lungs of steel lmfao
Short term use is not a problem, as far as muscles go. You being an admitted pill junky is a potential problem to say the least. I have no idea if opiates will trigger your benzo addiction. Only you can be the judge.
If you need to take them, only keep a small amount and chuck the rest. Give them to a loved one to dispense to you. I would only take them at night and take ibuprofen during the day. Good luck.
My doc told me it shouldn't trigger my benzodiazapines addiction I've been off them for 4 years I'd hate to be back at it again
I'm allergic to ibuprofen and Naprosyn :/ that's why he gave me this instead of motion 800
Damn bro that sucks man the thing is we never know our limits unless we test them every now and then take it as a learning experience man as far as the pills I would stay away from them if the pain is bearable if not use ibuprofen to keep the swelling down hope you get better soon
A. Prednisone affects muscle, the pills he gave you won't.
B. If you've had drug problems in the past, I wouldn't dick with pain pills. Get some Aleve, etc. Try topical creams and Salonpas.
