Small portion of left quad numb for 2 months

ad

Hey all, just wanted someone's take on this I assume many of you have been in my predicament before. Its not an infection, no redness or swelling. Just number and the area of numbness has gotten smaller since the first week after pinning. FYI I pin my quads a lot more than most its my fave place but Ive been avoiding the left quad now for 2 months. Pretty sure I hit a nerve but I wanna know how long do you think itll stay numb? It doesnt affect my workouts or cardio at all just numb to the touch. As always, Thanks in advance guys

I'm late to this but stuff like you're describing can often be relieved with a few sessions of deep tissue massage. This kind of massage is EXTREMELY PAINFUL but it has all kinds of benefits. Trying to find someone who knows how to do it is the issue.

Thanks gearhead I appreciate that advice I will have to try this!!

Are you insinuating that my pics are not mine? Thats kinda fucked up considering you don't know me at all. Since when it uncommon to try out sources during promos or experiment with int'll vs domestic. I think you need to check the attitude bro I never jump on anyone's post and disrespect them for no reason. If you didn't like the forum then pass it on by and go about your day. Im not here to impress anybody or belittle anybody EDIT: I sent you a fr maybe we just need a few pms and get to know each other. I understand your guys' view on younger guy on this board so maybe we got off on the wrong foot

No, they probably are your pictures. The point is you're 25 years old And you're running so many compounds and have bought so much gear, it's ridiculous. This is not a race, the person that shoots up the most gear does NOT win.

I agree with you then. I shouldn't have taken what you said as an attack. I stock pile a small bit of gear maybe 1 or 2 cycles ahead. I have used some of it mainly to test the waters. I didnt mean to be a jerk back to you I value your opinion and many others opinions as well.

Hummmmmm, a chance to play internet DOCTOR.

Well patient, if you look at this pull down poster of a human body nerve map.

See how the nerves from the lower quad must pass thru the upper quad to reach the brain. Now if you were to damage a nerve route between the brain and lower quad,......... say in the upper quad,........ you could get numbness at the end of the nerve route,............ mostly at the lower end of the nerve route, but sometimes at the brain end of the nerve route. When it is at the brain end of the never route/oath, you may loss your ability to keep from posting stupid stuff in the internet.

Of course we Internet Doctors know more than your personal doctor.

hows it stupid to ask an honest question? I went to the doctor today. He said jack shit lol

For 2 months you say nothing, then three days before you go to see a real doctor, you ask a bunch of us to play internet doctor.

Me think,..........you got what you paid for.

Talked to my Doc today at 3 month check in, he said nothing can do but wait and itll come back.

Most likely nerve damage from hitting a pretty good patch of nerves but numb for 2 months is pretty lengthy. Id consider checking with your doc....its only happened to me once and loss of feeling only lasted a few days bro. 2 months of no feeling makes me think may have actually severed the nerve endings.
Just my option though

Ya and its like way lower than where I pin. I pin like upper outside of the thigh but this area is now towards the bottom side of the quad. Weird.

Drloomis's picture

Im just wondering how I severed a nerve when I pin my quads all the time in the same area and this numb feeling travelled so low so the side of my leg. My Dr seemed to blow it off today and said its not a big deal itll either come back or it wont

Yup....I had a very invasive operation on my left knee at 18 and still don't have feeling on the outside of knee/shin. It bothered me for a month maybe then I just got use to it and had actually even forgotten for years till I saw this post....thanks op! Lol just letting you know if it ends up being perminate after time you want even notice it.

I read a few and I try to use all precautions. I felt the pain as soon as I pinned then it went numb later. anyways It doesnt affect my leg day at all or my daily life its just annoying. I appreciate you droppin in my thread!!
