I'm lead to believe gear users should try and donate blood every couple of months or so to try to counteract the negative impacts of steroid use.
Unfortunately I cannot donate blood in the uk as I have tattoos and unable to make the impossible appointment times.
There is another gruesome option out there for me and my fellow gym rats and that's self bleeding. Anyone out there regularly self bleed or have even tried it? How sucsessful are/were you and what protocol do you follow?

Exactly, these guys have no issue shooting unknown oils in their muscles but freak out about draining off a little blood.We all agree it is important to get rid of some blood, if there isn't a blood drive available when you need to do it then do it safely on your own
It boggles the mind how one seems so acceptable and non hazardous and the other so taboo and "crazy" when honestly, injecting oil would probably come with many more hazardous consequences then phlebotomy does.. And your right, I've had bloods taken often enough to see the procedure is very simple and can be replicated very easily at home.
And unless you are a hemophiliac or have some other blood clotting illness you are not going to bleed out.
First stating I'm sick, followed by the statement in the first paragraph then contradicting yourself in the second paragraph. I would say you're right smack in stupid territory.
From an objective point of view i would say anyone would think self bleeding is sick, you are being subjective just because im against your idea and you feel offended at my comment,if you try to be just im sure even you recognize self inflicting damage isnt very sane no matter if it helps. I was just giving my opinion, again sorry for using those words, i feel bad that you have to bleed yourself and was trying to convince you to not do it (so you would try other ways) but hey, its your body, you dont want friendly advice, go cut yourself then, at least i tried.
letting your mind be governed by what is considered the norm and you will never rise above being normal. which, to me at least, is the biggest tragedy that can befall someone. so keep at it man, think inside the box and never be a maverick. not saying self bleeding makes you a maverick but your close minded approach narrows your view of the world and will prevent you from ever being a true original, whatever it might be...

I tried it once. While I was running a high EQ dose and tren my blood was noticeably thicker and my rbc was a tad over range according to bloodwork. Only problem was I only had 20g draw pins and 23 and 25g shooting pins. The 20g pins are too small to use, the blood coagulates to easily and flow is restricted and clogs the pin much too easily. I would advise to use a much larger gauge needle when self bleeding. 16g~
What I did was swab the area, used a belt turnicate, and attached a rubber tube to the end of the needle and put the other end into a beaker to measure out the 500ml I was planning on bleeding out. Other than the needle being too small it's relatively easy. Anyone too scared or uneasy at doing this... I would just have to say don't be a pussy lol it's not any worse then site injecting a small muscle like bis with a 1.5" pin all the way down lol

At oneblood, they use 19g needles. I don't think 20g would make that much of a difference

give it a go if you feel its necessary. just practice a sanitray and safe protocol. ..yah i wouldnt go any smaller than 16g, even 14 or 12.. but might sting a bit pushing that big of a pin in lol
Not sure about in the UK, but here in the USA you can buy giant needles at stores that sell livestock feed and agriculture supplies. I used to buy them to shoot epoxy and resins for art projects.
