Rupture tricep tendon recovery

ad

Well I have really gone and done it this time. I have pop my tricep tendon off the bone and I am now recovery from surgery. I literally popped my tricep tendon off the bone and I am trying to recover quickly as possible and get back to the gym. Curious if anyone here has had this problem or know of some who has. What did they you or they do to aid in healing and recovery. I’m taking about 5-7iu’s of gh and 1 cc of test weekly. Should I be doing anything else to help my tendon recover quicker?

I haven't tore anything but I've come close. I have bad tendonitis from time to time. Takes a while to heal. Will do well for a bit then it comes back but in a different place on my arm. Before it was my bicep, now around my elbow. On days it's bad I take it easy in the gym. Try not to push too hard. Hgh and igf-1 help with recovery. Guess I've been lucky thus far.

My friend had his ligaments partially taired in his forearm after a car accident. He ended up using BPC 157, which is a peptide made of 15 Amino Acids. His tendons healed relatively quick even making his doctor question it but he did complain he would get nausea sometimes after injecting.

Below is medical literature that shows it can help heal a tore tendon. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21030672/

“ This study was designed to investigate the potential mechanism of BPC 157 to enhance healing of injured tendon. The outgrowth of tendon fibroblasts from tendon explants cultured with or without BPC 157 was examined. Results showed that BPC 157 significantly accelerated the outgrowth of tendon explants. ”

I did the same thing in March. I had surgery to reattach the tendon. Have 4 screws in my arm now. Take it really slow. Big Tone had the same thing some time ago as well. I started off lifting about a month ago. Really light and all machines. I did continue working out my uninjured side and legs the whole time. Sometimes I wonder if it’s the solvents in the gear that cause tendon degeneration. Just a thought.

It seems more people then I thought of has happened to them. I strongly believe that it is from where and tear on the body and if you compete in bodybuilding and you train hard as shit while drying out, that could be a cause of it as well. Just a thought.

Solvents and carrier oils in gear are something I worry more and more about these days in terms of long term health effects. Things didn't seem so bad when they were mainly Sesame seed, Grape, Tea etc but now so many labs are moving to these nasty new man made industrial things I just cannot imagine they are good for us. I think with the tendon issue its just because they are being so overloaded and overused with weights we are just naturally designed not to be lifting. Shoulder, triceps, biceps tendons are just not designed or intended to be supporting several hundred pounds for multiple repetitions.

Agree completely. I had been having elbow pain for years and probably had micro tears and did not listen to my body. Also, overall health in terms of the solvents is something I think about also .

I believe this is also true. We might be able to sustain lifting heavy weights for a period of time but it will eventually catch up to use if we are not careful.

I am pretty sure @Big Tone36 has had the same injury.

Oh yeah, make sure you go through the whole physical therapy. For this injury they help alot. As far as doing anything to recover faster, theres not much you can do but wait for your body to recover. Fuckin sucks, I know! Keep running gh and using ice.

I just had the same surgery 11 months ago. I crashed surfing, hit my arm on the ocean floor and, POP! Tendon off the bone.
I had to have an Achilles from a cadaver put in to reconnect.
Did pretty much the same as you after surgery. Gh and test with rest. Sorry to say bro but it was 6 or 7 months before I could even go back to normal life and extend and flex my elbow full range. Month 8 I started light lifting again and by month 10 I felt confident to use a heavy weight. Still have small pains at certain angles and movements. But finally feeling like the tricep is getting a pump and I'm able to really work it. Just cant do a few exercises because of hand placement. Oh yeah... the scar is pretty gnarly as well lol. If they were able to use your tendon to reattach you'll probably have an easier faster recovery than me. But if they replaced the tendon itll be about 10-12 months until you get satisfying workouts.

Yes they reused my tendon and I was lucky enough for mine popping off the bone so they were able to reattach it successfully. So maybe I will be able to use shortly but I want to make sure this thing does not happen again. I’ll just sit out for a good 4-6 months and see what happens. Do not want to have surgery on this again.

Yes I agree. I have been stretching it to get my range of motion back and I do passive movement and nothing pressing right now. I plan on waiting about 6-8 months before I get back into the gym hard core but will continue to workout just to keep blood flowing and stay somewhat looking half way decent.
