Quick question from a newb

ad

So not far from beginning my first cycle now, I plan on posting the cycle for your scrutiny in the next few days. This place has been super helpful btw, so thanks.

Bit of a left field question but think I'm right to ask.

A few weeks ago I caught a cold, nothing terrible, just man-flu really but lasted for a couple of weeks and was enough to put a dent in my training. My question is simple, if one was to catch a cold (or similarly, get injured) and it's bad enough to stop training, what's the protocol for adjusting cycle? Should I reduce dosage? Should I stop and start PCT early? Stop whinging and train through it?

What do you all reckon?

Push through it maybe take a couple days of then again maybe not. Don't stop keep pushing. Can you imagine all the shit great pro athletes go through and they keep pushing and moving foward.

You must have the will to do so and not stop push through the pain and suffering. This is what separates them.

I remember my first cycle about 2-3 weeks in getting "test flu" felt tired, achy, annoyed and didn't want to eat, but just pushed through it, downed vitamin c drank an unreal ammount of water and was eventually good to go. I know it's not exactly what you were asking, but being your first cycle it might be an "issue" you run into sorta relating to what you're asking.

Good advice I reckon, cheers, don't expect an interesting read about my cycle, will be very sensible, but I'm interested to hear any feedback about my diet and training

If you get normal sick with a bit of a cold on cycle you carry on as if you weren't on cycle. If that means you have to take a few days off training then so be it. You carry on with your cycle and pick up the training when you are well enough. Now if you get seriously sick and will be laid out for weeks then consider stopping and running a PCT (depending on how far into the cycle you are of course) and picking it up when you are better again, recovered from PCT and well enough to train and eat.

Only if you're on deaths door. Time off the gym is for wimps ;)

Yes, the 2 schools of thought.

Old school,....... We are real men, if it don't kill you, it'll make you stronger.

New school,....... We are girly men, if a little girl would take a day off for a scratch or sliver, ......so should I.

Which school you belong to is your choice.

Please let us know which way you go.

You know that sort of thing is what kept me going through that treatment. I've never been so bored in my life. If I ever see daytime TV again it will be too soon.

Them dam ole soap opera shows. :-(

I know people who have sickness some of them worse than other's. Some of them are warriors and are inspiring and others seem they just want to give in and give up.

I thank God ed for my health and a lot of people including myself take a lot of things in our life for granted that others would charish.

I'm learning in my life ed not to be so stubborn and think I'm right all the time and to be more forgiving and kind to people that aren't kind to me. It's hard.

You are one of them warrior's bro. Keep pushing my friend.

Don't know about that mate, I just dealt with it as it came. I think I had a pretty easy run on chemo unlike many others.

You mentioning "warrior" reminded me of something I watched last night on TV. A couple had a 2 year old lad diagnosed with something called "cloves syndrome". Watched their little lad becone horribly disfigured, brain malformation, living in pain and then after several surgeries die before the age of 4. Genuinely put a lump in my throat. They were tough mate, I couldn't cope with that.

wow I couldn't watch that. I would be crying like a baby. Kids get to me like that.

Same. Amazing how much worse it is when it's a kid.
