+ 1 Questions concerning Chest Pain
Since a lot of people seem to have misread what I wrote, I am going to say it here: I HAVE seen a doctor, and they HAVE told me it has nothing to do with my heart. On top of this, I was only on the AAS for 3 months on a real cycle and a month and a half on a bridge.
Okay before I go into any details, I will be giving the backstory of exactly what I did leading up to my experience and whatnot. If you wanna skip the majority of this and get the primary story, head towards the bottom of my post.
Brief History Before PEDs:
I have been working out for about 5 years now. I initially started as a misinformed gym bro that weighed 130 pounds that would solely do lightweight curls, bench press just a plate, and had literally no idea what I was doing. This was when I was 17 years old, leading into my senior year of high school. I continued this method through that senior year, as well as into the summer before I started college. (At this point, I had gained about 15 pounds or so. Presumably, most of those gains came from my sudden jump from 5'8" to 6'1"ish.)
Once I started college, I took a weightlifting course and got really into lifting and bodybuilding in general. In about one semester, I went from weighing 147 pounds to 175 pounds. All of my lifts increased tremendously (mostly due to proper teaching) from a 1 plate bench to a 185 bench, 185 deadlift to 315 deadlift, and 150 pound squat to a 2 plate squat. Either way, was making very good progress as a natural bodybuilder. Now this was in the year of 2015.
I continued this progress for a while, eventually reaching a plateau in 2017. At this point, my deadlift was 405, bench was 295, squat was 405, etc. At this time, I was just lifting heavy and doing hardly any cardio. I was still going the natural route at this point, and feeling pretty good about myself. However, I desired to be bigger and better simply because I wanted to be a competitive bodybuilder and not just some slightly bigger than normal guy. So I began my research into anabolics.
Now, I never actually came into the true process of actually doing any of the things I was researching until the fall of 2018. And this is where I began doing the PEDs and thus starts my next part of the post.
My PED experience.
NOTE: I was 21 when I started, and I am currently 22. Turned 22 right after my cycle ended. This doesn't mean that I was on cycle for a year. I went on cycle 4 months before I turned 22, but was only on my blast cycle for 3 months. The other month and a half was a cruise of 200 per week.
So, not gonna talk about sources or anything like that, but I will say what I did. I ordered my stuff and did a 12 week cycle with no issue. Did 40mg of dbol a day for the first 4 weeks and 500mg of test-e (injected twice a week) for 12 weeks. I made extreme progress in the gym, and gained a lot of weight. Right before this cycle, I lost a lot of weight over the summer due to poor training and eating habits so I had only weighed 180 roughly, despite weighing about 195 when totally natural.
In the first month, I gained about 20 pounds. Some of this was definitely water weight from the dbol but over the next 8 weeks I slowly lost water weight and continued putting on muscle mass. All my lifts increased (Hit 350 on bench, 475 on deadlift, 450 on squat, etc.) and I was happy with the results. I could've put in more work, but that's a story for a different day. Either way, I hit the end of the cycle and began to do a bridge amount of test until my next cycle. This was about 200mg a week, and I did this for 5 weeks. Right around the 2nd week was when my chest problem came about.
Chest Pain Story Starts Here:
So here are all the factors: My chest pain began shortly after my high dosage stopped. I switched from a 250mg/ml concentration of test-e to a 400mg/ml of test-e. Now, I never felt low testosterone when I was on the alternate product. In fact, while I was on that stuff I hit my heaviest squat ever. But randomly, I felt sharp sharp chest pain. It varied in where it was, but it was always on my left side. Sometimes it was closer to the middle of my chest. (Close to the sternum, but still felt as though it was coming from the ribs.) Sometimes it would be the bottom part of my left ribs, sort of in-line with the left side of my abs, and rarely it would be the leftmost side of my ribs. (Like, outermost part of my torso.) The pain didn't start right when I switched products, but more like a week or two after.
Right before the pain started, I had actually gone back home for the holidays. I felt a little sick, but not horrible by any meaning. However, my family prefers to keep our heater running at night. I sleep better at cold temperatures, not 72 degrees Fahrenheit. Therefore, I had my fan running on high at night. I noticed that I was coughing a lot, but it didn't bother me. Then, all of the sudden, I was experiencing the chest pain. It seriously freaked me out, and I stopped working out and switched to just cardio. Now, I was doing bicycling, jogging, anything of that nature and had no issues with it. (I never had severe shortness of breath, just the typical amount that one would get from cardio.) I scheduled a meeting with my doctor, and talked to them about it.
First and foremost, I was honest with what I was doing and told the doctor pretty much everything. My doctor told me that my heart and breathing sounded just fine, and ordered me an EKG just to make sure. EKG turned out totally normal, and said that I must have damaged my chest wall in some capacity. I also had blood work done, and while my cholesterol was a little high it was still within the normal range and all my other levels were borderline perfect. I was taking a substantial amount of caffeine at this time, but I have since given up caffeine. (My resting heart rate was 72pm, but it has since dropped to 56bpm. It dropped to 60bpm before I stopped the anabolics entirely.)
Either way, I've been working out off and on and don't know how to deal with this injury. I decided on taking a serious break, and it has been about 5 and a half weeks of no working out. (Occasional walks with my girlfriend are the only thing.) I will go lift weights once a week if I am feeling good, but it seems as though my chest pain gets agitated when I do weightlifting. (Even as light as I would do it.) I only did my cruise dosage for 6 weeks at 200mg a week, and then one week at 160mg before deciding to take a break and see if it helps. It didn't change much, so now I am left wondering what to do.
Note: I do regularly take fish oil, and I regularly walk about 3+ miles a day. Not every workout would I do legitimate cardio, but I would normally run a half mile or a mile every other workout. Which I did workout for 2 hours or more a day, for 6 days a week. There was a point that I overworked my body, but I recovered fast from that and have since learned that rest days are good. I also know of the dangers of using AAS before 25, and I am glad to inform that my natural testosterone is back and I feel incredible. So, no issues there.
Do any of you have any experience with this? If so, do you have any advice you can give me?
READ ME!!!!
As many of you have misinterpreted what I said, I will do a much simpler recap here.
Yes, I have gone to a doctor. Two doctors, in fact. I have seen several nurses. All of my things relating to cardiovascular health are in order. Heart rate, blood pressure (slightly high, but always has been), rhythm, and everything else is almost perfect if not perfect.
I did not take AAS for a full year, I said that I took them when I was 21, and then I turned 22. I meant that I started taking them about 4 months before turning 22 (I spent 3 months on cycle, and a month and 2 weeks on a lower dosage.)

RustyhookerAs his story morphed several times and reeked of troll. Several edits up top. Was a tall tale....
Dunno why you're getting negged here. here's a few pluses from me, for what it is worth. ++++
Sounds like it could be a few things. Stress anxiety, absolutely can do this. Low estro can drive anxiety/stress etc. Get bloods to see.
Also, how is your belly/chest area in terms of size and growth? Did you put on a lot of growth in there? My ribcage widened over the years and at one point, too much food absolutely caused issues. Do your ribs seem wider?
Could you have damaged the ribs, by over eating, or growth? Could you have a niggling tear somewhere around the ribcage? Not a broken rib, but damage or torn connective ribcage tissue? MRi for that... usually hurts when breathing or getting into/out of bed, but there could be scar tissue healed thats causing an issue... MRi
tcote2016Probably because I accidentally put 21 instead of 22 on my profile. I just turned 22 two months ago, so it was just out of force of habit.
Also my chest did get bigger, but not significantly so. However, I was consistently lifting more weight off my chest for more sets and reps. Is a "Niggling tear" an actual medical term? Or is it just a phrase you said?
Also, I am going to assume that my ribs did get wider. It feels like they have, and at times my girlfriend noted that it looked like I had gotten a bit wider in the torso. (Specifically chest region, not stomach.)
I am going to ask about getting an MRi at the doctor's office tomorrow!
Thanks for the information though, most of the people that have responded have just sort of been overwhelmingly belligerent and not helpful.
His profile orginally said 21 now its 22.
That's why I negged it. I doubt hes that old.
I hear ya man
I tend not to give a fuck about that when they are coming in with a health problem
I think he got ots of karma clipped on another post or something.
But.... annnnnd.... heeeeeeeeee's GONE
lol
Didnt last long!
Hope it works out for the dude.
Young folks dont realize the older you get the more mystery pains you have...always best to have them checked out if it's in the chest.
1 stay off the roids. 2 have you ever been checked for anxiety or panic disorder ptsd I have ptsd and chronic anxiety and I get chest pains when I'm having a panic attack or when one is about to come on check into that. How long have you been off.crashed estrogen can take a long time to raise back to normal and can cause panic attacks and anxiety
tcote2016The crashed estrogen might definitely be something that I am suffering from. I did have legitimate anxiety for a while there. I am currently scheduled for counseling, which is going to be tomorrow. And I understand the whole "Stay of the Roids" things, I just don't think I could do it and enjoy my life. As in, I want to do them but can live without them. Ya know?
Thanks for the tip on crashed estrogen causing anxiety, I never knew about that. Most people want to talk about the risks of crashed testosterone, because gains and sex life are more important than mental health I guess.
Yeah man I crashed my estrogen one time and went into bad times it took almost 3 months for it to get normal I was a fucking mess anxiety was so bad and when it crashes it makes heart flutters and pound hard I would lay on my left side and feel it pounding into the mattress It fucked me up and thanks to the great site we have here I read about it and went and got bloods done and wammo this site was right I'll tell you I will never crash my shit again. Blood tests are key everyone is different some people take 1mg arimidex 2 times a week while the next guy will take .25 2 times a week and some guys can run 500mg test with no ai it's a big game taking gear lots of stuff to learn and money to keep doing bloods to figure out what's going on with your body food vitamins
tcote2016That was my thing, I never took anything on cycle. I never felt the need. Never got any extreme water retention, nor gyno. Does Arimidex on cycle prevent estrogen crashes? From what I understand, it just acted as an extreme aromatase inhibitor. I never did insane research because I only did a lot of research on the things that I planned on taking.
No if you take to much it will crash estrogen
tcote2016So realistically it's best just to get blood work done and see if you need it or not? Also obviously depending on what you are taking as well as your own genetics.
Yes sir
tcote2016Thanks much! You'd be surprised. I know I seem poorly informed... but I know of a guy that is only 19 and has been blast cruising for a year now. And his cruise dosage is 500mg of test-e a week. So, I'd like to see what people think of THAT.
Wow well I'll tell you that kid will most likely never have kids and have to stick a needle in his ass the rest of his life if he keeps it up. The male body doesn't even fully develop till 25
tcote2016I am fairly certain he doesn't ever want kids. Either way, you aren't wrong about him becoming totally reliant on juice for the rest of his life.
Dbol is the best way to bring your estrogen up quick imo.
Yeah when I crashed mine i didn't have any on hand I literally gave mine away cause dbol didn't work well with me could be nice to have a few on hand just in case
RustyhookerSo you couldnt write it properly the first time. And only a dr can fix your injury.
Age: 21
Height: 6'0"
Weight: 200
BF:
And you dont know your age...troll
tcote2016Apologies, I'm a little retarded. I also was anticipating for the context clues to be more than enough to explain what I said, but I obviously was mistaken.
Build your body as big as you can naturally and then use the gear. Your nowhere near your potential at 22.
Physiques built on nothing but gear never maintain it.
The chest pain could be anything from gas to a gallbladder.
If the Dr couldn't find it nobody on here will eithet.
Theres some great training and nutrition threads on here use your search bar.
I started useing gear much earlier than you.
Trust me it was a mistake. I've been on trt many years as a result...
Having my gallbladder removed next month. That's from not useing ais.
I also have kidney tests pretty regular.
If you use to early and to long there will be consequences...
Blasting and cruising at your age is not wise.
tcote2016So my testosterone levels are already back to normal. I stopped taking anything about 6 weeks ago (as of monday) and have not lost any mass whatsoever. Nor have I lost any significant portion of my sex drive, outside of getting used to not being up a wall as I was when on. I have pretty much none of the issues of low-t, nor did my testicles develop any shrinkage during my cycle. The only thing I definitely experiences was a crash of my estrogen, as I had borderline crippling anxiety during the weeks after I stopped. I haven't lifted in 5 weeks, yet haven't lost much mass. That's because the gear basically brought me back up to my maximum natural size, plus a little bit. The main difference was the speed at which I got that strength and size.
Also, I was not lying about my age. I am 22, I just turned 22 about 2 months ago. Force of habit, when making my account. I am just looking to see if anyone on this site has had any experience with this type of chest pain as well.
Besides the fact that you were too young for GEAr; you are looking for someone else to solve your problem. Unfortunately from these descriptions you give it is impossible to anyone to put their finger on what you issue is.
You need to keep experimenting until YOU SOLVE IT! It may take a while and a lot of effort but it can be done.
tcote2016I definitely understand what you are saying, I am simply looking to see if anyone has had this sort of chest wall injury before as well. I understand that I am "too young" for gear, but at the same time? I can't bring myself to care. I want to competitively body build. I understand I am weak and small and stupid, as well as that I have a daunting road ahead of me. Nonetheless, I am going to try my best.
Thank you for the input though, you have given me better information than most already.
22 and your using gear and having chest pains...-2
Btw I know guys that bench 405 that have never taken anything. Dont justify your use by those lifts.
tcote2016I am well aware that I am not the strongest of people. Genetically I am quite weak, but my purpose with gear was solely size. If I was focused on strength, I probably would never have used gear. Either way, I don't need to justify my use. My use is my use, I just want to know if anyone else has ever dealt with something like a chest wall injury. My point in saying my numbers were to show that the stuff I used did make a difference.
"NOTE: I was 21 when I started, and I am currently 22. Turned 22 right after my cycle ended."
"I only did my cruise dosage for 6 weeks at 200mg a week, and then one week at 160mg before deciding to take a break and see if it helps."
Cruising at 22 after supposed first cycle at 21. You have been on a cycle since you were 21. Cycles do not last a whole year. Now to compound it you are having chest pains? WTF is wrong with you? Are you stupid?
Go see a FUCKING Doctor and stop taking AAS.
tcote2016Literally stopped taking them. It has been 6 weeks. Have seen a doctor, have nothing wrong with my heart. Everything is normal regarding that. I was on cycle for 12 weeks, cruised for 6 weeks before deciding to stop. I was not on a cycle for a full year. My cycle started About 4 months before I turned 22.
Why would you come to a forum that’s a Steroid review site for advice that you clearly should see a doctor about??? Go see a doctor!! At 22 years old chest pains are not the norm. Get off the internet and see a doctor they’re the only ones who can tell you what’s up.. Don’t wait until it’s to late.
tcote2016I'm just looking to expand my knowledge even further. I did go to a doctor. I was pretty sure that I said in the post that I stopped taking them, and that my doctor did give me a diagnosis. Specifically it was a generic chest wall injury. Never did I damage my heart in any capacity, nor is the pain that I am having relating to my heart. I am curious if anyone has had any experience with damaging their chest wall.
Rustyhooker22 years old with chest pain. See a dr!!
tcote2016I already said in the post that I have seen a doctor. To further elaborate, I have seen multiple doctors. I have seen 2 medical professionals as well as a multitude of nurses. In each meeting (taking place over a couple of months now) I have had all of them tell me with confidence that my heart beat is regular, my breathing is totally normal, blood pressure is slightly elevated (although my blood pressure has always been above normal, resting at about 130/80 but ranging from 120-130), and cholesterol levels are fine. I am specifically trying to see if anyone has had any experience with chest pains that are NON-CARDIAC in nature.
