First of all thanks to all who make my mind to how get off this phase, yesterday i took first step i cut down my preworkout dosage from two scoop to one scoop and i gradually stop using preworkout and i will try to get long rest, i think you people are right its a mind game and in first my vision will be clear that i do hard in gym without preworkouts and second thing i will reduce my workout sessions, in routine i do between one hour to one and a half hour workout, it should be complete with in one hour, second thing is change some diet plan to enhance strength from food source not drugs.
in diet change your suggestion will be appreciated....thanks again to all..this is why join this group...you people are real gems...

One thing i want to share with you all that my job duty hours shuffles on weekly basis so my training time also change weekly, i do night shifts too thats why my body needs preworkout to change my mood due to hectic way of my job routine.

Isn't this one of the reasons why you fast, to learn self discipline and focus on something bigger than you? A manata is needed.

Awhile back I know I had a stim issue looked it up and took about 2 weeks off to give the adrenal glands a break n was good. If you can't even make it through a workout seems like you just need to take a break it's that simple listen to your body

You have gone too far.....your heart is getting shit on by taking so much stimulants.. enough already. If you enjoy living take a break....a long one

Forgive me, I will be blunt as possible.

First , stop being a pussy.

I say this because you clearly state that you cant imagine a workout without a preworkout.
That is preposterous statement.

And one that also reeks of addiction.

In point of fact, no one "needs" a preworkout in order to cut the mustard in the gym.

You clearly are talking about tolerance . Namely physical and mental dependence on a drug.

"Preworkouts" are complete garbage in the first place. Nothing more than insane stimulant dosages that when taken preworkout will help you exponentially grow, enlarge, and eventually blow out your coronary arteries.

Remember ephedrine? Kicked hard , right? They make meth out of that stuff.
You smell what Im cooking?

When consuming exogenous compounds, your body needs time off.

To me , I would recommend to stop consuming all "preworkouts" as soon as possible. For an extended period of time. Best case, forever. Good Luck.

I workout at night and take a low-stim pre-workout and have for years. I only take one scoop and it’s still effective. I also only have a little caffeine in the morning as well. Tolerance to caffeine is a real thing. You also seem to have a mental addiction to it as well.
Take some time off and if/when you start back up, use it sparingly.

Try ashwagandha root extract to get off the caffeine for a bit give it 2 weeks - 4 and you’ll be golden and enjoying your preworkout again. And by there 2-3rd workout you’ll be wondering why you needed preworkout in the first place. It’s good don’t get me wrong, it does come in handy but if you’re not getting that energy from caffeine your basically beating a dead horse and your bank account.

Omer Khan- These guys are giving you straight up solid advice. My question is something I do not see here, In general how long are your workouts? Overtraining???

Omer Khan's picture

Yes commish you are right dear, my workout session must be channelized...

addiction talk right there

best bet is to ditch it, it's relatively easy to break the cycle once you stay consistent

Who needs it? Get in there and by the 3rd set you’ll be fine. Just gut it out. If it was easy everyone would be jacked..

Well this same as drugs, your body builds tolerance fairly quick. In my eyes pre workout should be used at the days when you have planned maybe heavy legs or back sessions.
If you start taking pre workout when doing abs session, that’s nonsense

I would prefer to sleep more instead of destroying your cardial system with caffeine and other uppers!

Brother. I have been on the same road.

I was taking 800 mg of caffeine prior to workout. 4 tablets of 200 mg each of caffeine. That is insane.

I used to double the dose of any pre workout. That is not ok.

Then I stopped all caffeine and all preworkout supplements.

Yeah I felt like crap for a few days. Now sometimes I will take a scopp of pre workout maybe 3-4 times a month. It works as it should because I am not using it every day like I used to.

Sometimes I just take a caffeine tablet which has 200 mg and it makes me feel properly amped. When I take the caffeine tablet, I do not take the preworkout.

Buy Organic Spinach. Make a smoothie before workout with: organic honey, organic spinach, oats, banana. Base for the smoothie organic whole milk.

Now have that and believe me you will feel amped.

I hate pre workout, it effects my mood and appetite! If I would run dbol in the beginning of a cycle I used to get a mental speed bump when it was time to drop it but after a few days I wouldn't even notice it was gone, I'd imagine it can be the same with pwos!

I use to take in a bit of caffeine occasionally up until about 18 months ago when I realised that if I needed this to train - I was actually still too tired or sore from the last session to be training again so soon. Plus I find they affect your appetite for 12 hours after so if you can't take in as much food/shakes etc after the session then everything is less productive. I totally agree with a lot of people - If you need a pre workout to train then there's no way your heart is properly in it. You should be looking forward and excited to be going to the gym and not need extra stimulation.

You are totally right. He is gambling with his life and health. These pre workout supplements if abused can make you drop dead.

Learn to do it without a pre-workout. I can amp myself up more with music than I ever could with a drug. If you need something else to get you in the mood to lift, maybe you’re pursuing the wrong hobby. The day I need something or someone else to motivate me to workout I’ll be six feet under.

That’s the issue. You’re over reliant on these things. You need to take a break from them. You’ll face an uphill climb in the first few days because you’re not working out on stimulants and feeling withdrawal, but after some time off you’ll recover both physiologically and mentally from the dependence.

Sir i do give break so many time two three months but during these days my workout gets worse but i try to normalize my body but i could not get succeed..

Time for a longer detox brother. Get off all gear, stims/pre-workout. Sleep 8 to 10 hours a week. Drop the intensity of your workouts. Go for long walks in nature. Practice mindfulness and meditation. 3 months minimum of that then come back and revisit.

The Impastable's picture

best advice out there. I remember being hooked on the things and needing higher and higher dosages to be able to even get to the gym. PWO supps, ephedra, caffeine pills, all ending up in higher doses and combinations. I do not miss being wired like a meth head just to be able to lift.

Thats good advice.
Omer Khan I would 2nd this. Its like being addicted to a drug. Once you stop your body does not know how to operate properly without it. Take a long rest from it. Your going to have days where you feel crappy but power through them. You will feel so much better .
