AnonI take Vitamin C, Zinc, and magnesium daily because assholes that are sick keep going to the gym. I also take Vit E, and Collegen for better skin and less wrinkles.
JayD718This topic really hits home for me, as I'm a big believer in the benefits of SOME vitamins and health supplements, and I take many myself. Of course some of them are total bullshit, but there are some with proven benefits that really work, with clinical trials and studies to back them up.
For instance, the Saw Palmetto that you mentioned, has proven benefits for prostate health, and is a natural 5-alpha reductase inhibitor, which helps to fight hairloss by preventing testosterone from converting into DHT. Some other promising supplements that I regularly use are:
-Flaxseed Oil for heart and cardiovascular benefits
-Coenzyme Q10 which works with the omega 3's in
Flaxseed Oil for added heart and cardiovascular
health
-Milk Thistle Extract for liver detoxification and overall
liver health
-Soya Lecithin for healthy liver and brain function
-Aged Garlic for cholesterol support
-Saw Palmetto Extract for the benefits mentioned
above
-N-acetyl-cysteine(N-A-C) for helping the liver to
eliminate toxins
-Alpha Lipoic Acid for added liver health benefits
-L.Acidophilus(Probiotic) for intestinal health
-Resveratrol Complex which includes Grape Seed
Extract which has many benefits including anti-aging,
and estrogen lowering effects
-Melatonin for healthy sleep cycle and helping to
lower liver enzymes(Recent studies show)
-Bioperine to help increase the absorption rate of
these supplements by my body
As far as vitamins go, I take a daily multivitamin, high potency Vitamin B-Complex, and 5000iu's of Vitamin D3 daily. I split up these vitamins and supplements, and include them with my meals.
I know that this is a lot of pills to take everyday, and I'm not recommending that other people do the same, but they do make me feel very healthy and energetic, whether it's just placebo effect or not. And, my doctor checkups and bloodwork always do reflect a man in excellent health. Of course when I'm running certain stacks, some numbers on my bloodwork may go up or down a little bit, but other than that I'm currently a very healthy man. However, I am cutting down on the supplements I take, to only the ones that I feel benefit me the most.
So, there are many supplements that I believe are truly beneficial, with clinical trials and studies to back them up! But, there are some that I think are total bullshit, and really are a complete waste of time and money! Some that I think are really bullshit, are all the so called testosterone boosters they got out now! Maybe, some of them do work on a very, very small scale, but I don't know of any that will really raise your testosterone by any significant amount.
And you claim to be a nutritionist...... as your profession.......??
In my country this is a regulated professional title (which I appreciate is not the case everywhere, so lots of room for scammers, sorta like the personal trainer industry)... and there is no way on the face of this planet would a qualified nutritionist ask a question like this... no way it is even conceivable that would happen.
So..... yeah, I am just going to scratch my head on this one! ... But... rather than just be all moany... I can say I witnessed Liv.52 help return my liver enzymes return to normal after an overdose whilst also on high mg test high mg anadrol and low mg dianabol cycle.
So Liv.52, great for an orals or UGL oils cycle.
This Abstract is enough evidence for you if you ask me (my bloods were enough evidence for me), but you can get the full article on bookSC if you want: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16194047
But yeah, still scratching my head with your posts. Nutritionist me bollix
Guys you just pick up one thing and start making jokes, yes i am nutritionist but not have great knowledge regarding steroid thats why i am here in this forum to get knowledge from you senior people, i know the function of these supplements but my query is that are these supplements are beneficial to steroid user, or we dont need to use it with steroid or after cycle, some people explain very well and some make fun, its ok sir now i am use too to hear this type of criticism in this forum...stay blessed you all..
RustyhookerNutritionist? You listed items in a normal nutritional arsenal. Where did you get confused sir?
Good pick up on the nutritionist thing. Didn't know he claimed to be one - and obviously isn't. +1 for sleuthing, Holmes.
lol
Amazing what you find out when you are bored ;-)
Try being retired, there is a plethora of minutiae out there just waiting....
I found 'etc' to be the most effective supplement. It kind of covers everything. But...just to break it down a little - Saw Palmetto and Pygeum are good for prostate health. As is Zinc. I have lowered my PSA reading by 20% in the last 12 months using these in combination. Used Tribulus, DHEA and Creatine and found no noticeable improvement in any area. Except that Creatine will cause water retention/bloat. Tried Yohimbe - still have a couple of hundred capsules if you want them - yadda. Berberine - meh - tried it and not convinced that it has any value. Currently using NAC and Milk Thistle (Silymarin) because my heart meds are very harsh on the liver - will get a blood test next month, and if anyone is interested - will post results here. Milk Thistle has a lot of research to support it's liver protective qualities - however, it has no effect/protection regarding alcohol-induced liver damage. If you really want to protect all your internal organs - don't use AAS.
Hi OZ!!!!!
Hope you and yours are well mate ;)
Was just wondering if you got bloods done yet? Liver protection is a big concern of mine mate
Hey mate! Good to hear from you. Yes - liver profile is back within normal ranges. The Tren E (as well as my meds) put my profile way over into the higher ranges for everything. Got bloods yesterday - all back within normal ranges - even though I still consume (probably too much) alcohol and the heart meds are stressful on the liver. I'm pretty impressed with the NAC and Milk Thistle combination. Liver is important but also don't forget your kidney health - they also take the brunt of AAS use - it's just that a lot of people tend to ignore their function in filtering blood. Get BUN, Creatinine, and blood protein tests to check everything is functioning as good as possible. Hope you and your loved ones are doing well. Life's short - tell those who you love that you love them - time will come when that can't be done.
Glad everything is back to normal mate ;)
I always check my kidney also (always ok) just don't like my liver enzymes high and been looking for a good reliable combination.
I normally use tudca and choline and inositol but I was told it's important to have a break from them after a while.
I'll try your combo and keep you posted buddy.
And 100% agree life's to short I always let the people I care about in my life know how I feel..... very good advice brother thanks
LOL
StevebHorney goat weed works better if it's cold pressed, a lot better, Saw Palmetto does help your enlarged prostate.
As makwa said, your money is better spent elsewhere.
As far as supplements go, I've found the following to be helpful and take them year round. But I'm not saying that they're amazing or that you should run out and buy them (except for fish oil. take that shit)
Berberine – lowers blood sugar, boosts insulin sensitivity (which in turn helps keep fat off and aids in fat loss), reduces cholesterol & triglycerides, liver support & anti-aging plus a bunch more. I have a whole forum on it you can read.
MSM/Glucosamine/Chondroitin – Joint Health
TUDCA – liver support
Multi
Fish Oil – one with more DHA
These are supps/vitamins I take sometimes, but not year round
Fadogia Agretis – When I was natty this was the only natural herb/supplement that noticeably raised my testosterone. 200 points actually. I still take it here and there while on my TRT dose to plump my balls up .I wouldn't rely on it for anything heavier than that though. If they need a boost on cycle I still use HCG. I'd also recommend adding this to a standard PCT, as it helps boost testosterone, but not enough to provide a negative feedback loop.
Beet root – blood pressure, improved performance with light triglyceride and liver support
Creatine
Hawthorne Berry – blood pressure support. I have no idea if this helps, I just take it as a precaution if i'm using something that's known to elevate blood pressure. That being said, i've never had blood pressure issues.
Really bundle of thanks sir, you show your professionalism, you solve my query in very well manner...
No problem man. The main takeaway from this if you notice, is that the only supplement in my list that is for performance/vanity purposes is creatine. It's proven and it works. Everything else on that list is for overall health.
Our best weapon in this game aside from training/eating/sleeping/resting is to keep our body as healthy as possible. A healthy body performs better, recovers better, and lasts longer.
No magic pills, or fatburners, or any of that shit. The only reason I use any supplements outside of creatine and PEDs is total body health.
Been there, done that. Money is better spent elsewhere.
basskiller89My go to for supplements are a multi vitamin and some creatine. I don't really consider sodium a supplement but I make sure to get close to the higher end of what the RDA recommends
On cycle is a completely different game
Thanks bass killer for understanding my point of view..GOD bless u bro...
Why you senior guys do sudden reaction?
my simple question is that do steroid users need these supplements or just waste of money?
i am not lazy person, always seeking new information through research....if u dont have answer than its ok..
Time to do some reading! Do it on here or online.
RustyhookerMight check your previous forums.
Come on bro. Go and do some research. You can’t post a list like that and expect a solid answer. It’s just a bit lazy don’t you think. Use the magnifying glass here - there are some good forums on some of these.
