I noticed over the past few days an influx of posts. A lot of them are really informative. I love to post because it forces me to research deeper into a subject and I learn it and I write about it and the community learns. It's a win/win in my book. However, some information is concrete whether it comes from a textbook or the internet. If you use it then the responsible thing is to reference it in your post at the bottom just like in a paper for school. It gives the author or the source credit for their contribution to the subject. If you copy and paste it is imperative to reference so that copyright infringement is not accusated and puts the site in an avoidable predicament. I can speak on this topic because I was banned not to long ago because I used an article from another source and did not reference it. I put the site at risk for something very simple. Now all of my posts have all the sources I research them from, including Wikipedia LOL. It's just playing it safe for you and the eroids site. I know that my goal is to help educate the new guy in the community and it's others, as well. That does not excuse us from our responsibility of crediting the other sources used in compilation. I know what you are thinking because I was thinking the same..."I had good intentions and I was just trying to help out." I don't doubt that in the least because I was too. But you know the saying goes, Good intentions pave the road to Hell. LoL a little dramatic, but yet true. I appreciate everyone's input and posts because I learn me something everyday. This is a wonderful site and I wished I had a site like this to run to when I was first in the game. Man the things I would've or could've done different....My point is that if you guys post just make sure you give your references that you used so their is no confusion and no accusations and you don't put yourself in a position to be banned. The Mods are our brothers and the ones recently have been at our sides in the trenches. Let's make their jobs easier and don't put them in that position where they have to act morally and in concordance with the rules and have to execute disciplinary actions on you...That's my soap box to the guys wanting to post from the guys that loves to post. Just trying to help my brothers out and hope I helped you
