Nerve damage from blood test

ad

So I got my cycle in order and just about to start next week, while I was getting my pre-cycle blood test the phlebotomist blew through vein and must have hit my median nerve. Pain shot down my arm to my thumb and now I get unbearable shooting pain every time I lift anything. Anyone ever experience anything like this? How long did it last? Going to the doc tomorrow...this is fucked.

okay first off..EVERYTHING need to be throughly documented...you need to contact an lawyer if this is causeing you to change your life habits...gather your documentation..from all doctors and people involved and look for legal help../

if she permanantly damaged your nerve, this is for life; if the injury is partially sweeling or not through damage then the pain my subside...I deal with NERVE Damage in my legs and feet and sometimes arms elbow hands...yeah it sucks,,,my cuase is from Diabetes type One...yours is not...your is from a mistake...a costly mistake if you go about this right my brother...
I am a nurse and the only reason Im ALOUD to say these things is bc the hidden Identiity Eroids provides...IM gatorgear here....anyways get this when my pain first started I went through six months of doctors visits,,different drugs for pain, and ended up on oxycodone at 100mg every day,,(yeah most people need like 15mg a day) I have built a tolerance and DEPENDANCE and that sucks..but what doesnt suck is I can continue my life..so if your in nerve pain..the most intense kind of pain in existance!!! then if opiate drugs work for you then you will need to think long and hard about partakeing that road..but like I said my choice was made because it brought me back to life from the couch..and if your unable to lift..it will progress and opening a door will cause pain..or the damage is not severe and will heal...
you need =either a nerver conduction test or a needle EMG...dont let the doctors try to blow this off...they will, especially if you go back to same office that caused the issue..\
I am not trying to be grim here, you need to seek medical attention from Neurologist, you need to stay mentrally strong, you need to rest
,and you need to NOT use your arm for any strength routines at all completely hold your cycle and stop lifting weights or do only leg work outs..if not you may futher damage the nerve tissues and what will be six weeks recoery will be never recovered my life changed that day from this.. I am speaking like an adult to an adult and I hope my words do not affect you in an negative way but help you to make the next choices for your life!

really appreciate the input gator. Im almost done with my BS in nursing so I understand what youre saying. Going to get this thing checked out right now, my vein is still inflamed and distended more that normal so Im hoping its just pressure on the nerve, we'll see. I've been documenting a journal of the pain day by day. Its only been 5 days of resting and Im already going crazy!
