?? little air in pin ??

ad

I haven't done a lot of research on this, but I've been leaving a little air in the pin to assure that all or most of the juice goes in. In pinning the glutes and delts I don't have much control over the bubble. Quads are no problem as the pin is always upright and easier to see. I've been told that if you inject a little air no biggie as long as you aspirated. Thought I would throw this topic out there for my bros to chew on.

It sounds like most everyone does this practice, I feel more confident doing it now that I see most do. I've done it for some time now and just wanted to make sure that it wasn't giving me more pip, With the sus450 I was running. I pulled the plug on that oil, too much pain for me and I have a pretty active demanding job, so the stuff was crippling me bad. Thanks for all the input, I truly appreciate all the replies from my bros of the iron.

I too leave a little bit of air in the syringe when I pin. No issues at all. Obviously you don't want too much air. And like the others have said, aspirate!

I put a small air bubble in my pinn to make sure every last drop is pushed out when i pinn glutes. I make sure to aspirate and not put too much air in or more than what is needed or it can cause some extra pip.

A little air is no problem, in fact, between .1 & .2 ml will stay in the needle and needle hub (the area just below the plunger) So what you see as a bubble may not actually get injected.

It's the smallest amount of gear thats left in the syringe and pin, I doubt that you would even notice it. A small amount of air is fine as long as it doesn't go IV

Excuse me if I'm wrong but wouldn't that be like mixing oil and water? Wouldn't the oil float to the top leaving the B12 at the bottom?

Sounds interesting; I think I might give it a try... At my age I could use a bit more B12 anyway...

Thats a good idea, never thought of that one. Thanks bro

Yea I do it just to make sure I get full dose and nobody likes to waste gear

This is not a problem. Aspirate to make sure you're not in a vein, but worst case scenario that an air bubble enters a vein, it takes MUCH more air than a small bubble in a pin to cause a pulmonary embolism. The air will quickly be absorbed by your blood. Obviously, try to avoid air in the pin but it will not cause damage.
