+ 4 If you could Start your Training / nutrition / steroids all over again - What would you have done differently?

ad

If you could go back right to the very beginning even, or just to the point where you started cycling gear - what if anything would you have done differently?

If I could do it all over again there are quite a few things I would have changed - first is to stick with training blocks for longer periods of time rather than taking fairly big breaks of 2 months here and there every 6 months or so back when I was 18, I wish I stuck at it solidly like I have done for the past 7 years. I never really fully got to my potential either back when I was a natty, being that I never used Protein shakes or creatine regularly. I'd use them maybe once a week but not routinely on top of meals which I've found really make a difference especially when using steroids.

When it comes to using gear I always regret not just starting on basic Test E, I watched what I now realise was a promotional video for a source in which the user bigs up his first ever Test prop cycle. Not really knowing any better as I hadn't discovered Eroids at this point I assumed this was a good first ever cycle Lol So I went on to pin prop EOD for 6 weeks and of course that first ever Test prop hit / feeling is just so damn addictive I carried on using this as a base for years to come. This meant that when it came to trying Test E the feeling was nowhere near as good nor were the instant quick gains that prop gives. If I started on Test E I would have not known any different and it still would have felt great compared to being natty!

Another compound I wish I didn't waste time on running so soon is E.Q, all it did was make me feel anxious and edgy for about 16 weeks and I didn't even realise it was this that was causing the problem at the time - something like NPP would have been much better for what I was after. I guess thats what life is all about though, if you didn't make mistakes you would never get to know the right way of doing things unless you are disciplined enough to only ever follow other peoples advice without trying them yourself first lol

I would have started training at age 18 instead of 34

At least you started at a more mature age when you can focus on training safely and smart. When your young that's when you make mistakes and over do things. I am in my early 30's now and have lost count of the number of injuries I have sustained and slowly starting to feel the effects of bad training form,

Tbh Bud I've come to the conclusion now that if you train hard and continually push yourself, which is ultimately what it takes to be very good at a skill then at some point or other you are probably gonna get injured. The key rule I have found to avoiding them as much as possible is NEVER train if you are still sore, at least not heavy anyway. Always leave it 4 days in between training the same muscle again. Go for 6 reps plus that way the strain on your muscle should not be intense enough for it to tear. Stronger androgens seem to protect you more too from injury, things like tren keep muscle very strong and hard. When I have got injured its always just on Test/NPP where the muscle it creates is more sloppy and not as tough.

Good Advice.
They are the key points you mention never to train a muscle if still sore, plenty of rest and I would add correct form. These are something when I was young didn't really pay too much attention to and only learnt the hardway. (Researching after getting injured)

I used test/npp when I had pain in my knees and felt it was one of my best cycles just didn't enjoy pinning more frequently. I still liked the quality of the muscle when I was on it, my legs were in the best shape due to lack of pressure on knees. You got me tempted to give it another go. Test E and NPP..

I would of took more time to dive in. I was just so excited about the thought of trying steroids it was like taboo to me. The day that I touched them for the 1st time I was so excited thinking "wow steroids" the stuff Bonds, Sosa, and McGwire took. The oils were so intriguing....

Quit drinking first, another six months in the gym, 20-lbs weight loss before pinning, more supplement knowledge, and listened a lot more. More test, less tren; more lean foods, less t3/clen, acted more humble.

Wish I would have focused more on hypertrophy training and time under tension and not just how much I could lift. Form and time under tension is what builds muscle, not just sloppily throwing a weight up. My joints would probably be feeling much better now also.

Wasted alot of my lifting without incorporating proper nutrition. Pretty much just thought back then like kids do nowadays that all you had to do to get big was just show up at the gym and lift weights. Can't grow if you don't eat. I would be a hell of a lot bigger now If I would have known then what I know now.

I have always been fairly conservative with my cycling, so there is not much I would change there.

One thing I would do differently is not take so much test and rely more on the other steroids to do the heavy lifting. The synthetic steroids were designed to be better than test at certain tasks. I should've just more of them and just a little higher than a TRT dose of test.

For alot of cycles, I like to run my test just high enough to where I don't need an AI, especially when cutting. Alot of compounds like tren and DHB are such huge receptor hogs that running high test with them just ends up in alot of it converting to estro. When bulking though, I like to bump the test up since the extra estro conversion helps with building muscle. It helps to run estro a little higher when bulking for that reason.

I agree with you and Press on this one. In the past whenever I would run a 19 nor I would run my test equal with the 19 nor. I don't run tren anymore because of the harshness of it and getting wicked tren cough about every 3rd shot but whenever I run Deca I'll go as high as 800mgs a week and keep test @200mgs. This seems to workout perfect for me. I used to have issues with prolactin when running equal doses but running it this way I have no issues even going beyond week 12.

No Deca dick at all for me with test low like that. Hate to put TMI on here but when I ran test and Deca 50/50 it would take me forever to bust a nut. Sometimes not at all. Had the same thing with tren. No problem now since the lower test protocol. The highest I ran NPP was 600mgs and I loved it. Muscles felt really full.

I agree, test is more for libido, energy, general well being and isn't as anabolic as you think. There are many others that are much better for building muscle.
