Improving cholesterol
ad
Post blast cycle lipid panel came back as follows:
Total: 158
Triglycerides: 78
HDL: 17
VLDL: 16
LDL: 126
I did just a google search on how to increase HDL and decrease LDL, and it's all pretty obvious stuff that most people who are into bodybuilding already do(diet/exercise).
Does anyone know of any non prescription supplements that actually work?
I've looked into Niacin... Does anyone have proven results from this??
Also Nature Made makes a Supp called chlostoff that has promising ingredients
And proven tips and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Apple Cider Vinegar helps me out bro
Fiber therapy really brought my numbers down...
I've used this regime on so many people it's not even funny myself included with numbers way worse then yours. 2400mgs red yeast rice twice per day, it's basically a statin big pharma tried to pull it off the market so people would have to spend 1000s a year ( well their insurance companies) on Rx statins but they were unsuccessful, it works that well. Then 20mg of policansol once a day, extra strength fish oil, watch out they all say 1200mg etc but only 300mg is the good kinda fat ( omega 3s etc) while the other 900mg is just crap. Walmart sells extra strength 1400mg pills where I believe 1200mg is the good fats. 3 of those per day. Add some almonds everyday or better macadmian nut oil, few tbsp of that a day. And that does the trick for every single person who's ever needed help even while they were on cycle. It's yet to fail.that will cut your ldl and triglycerides dramatically and with time you'd hdl will raise back up giving you a more optimal hdl to ldl ratio, that's the most impotent factor not total, but your total is great. The only thing that will raise hdl is niacin, look into that if you want to speed up raising your hdl.
Hi buddy,
What sort of time frame we looking at using this regime????
1 month on it and things typically look great. But those supps, the RYR, policansol fish oil etc are primarly for lowering LDL and your triglycerides, your triglycerides look solid, Your LDL should go down into the 70s with this protocol. But they really dont do much for increasing HDL and thats your biggest issue. Are you on cycle, or are you just coming off? If your just coming off then it will raise on its own, but niacin will help speed up the process alot. If your on cycle then the niacin will help raise it. Some garlic extract is great for the heart also as is CoQ10, but ive read the bioavailibilty of it is pretty damn low so i dont usually mess with it but its not gonna hurt to add.
Yeh I'm currently on cycle I'm using a rip blend
Tren, mast prop, test prop I use garlic capsules year round with other supps. I'm going to be adding winstrol at the last 4 weeks of my cycle so wanted to add a few extra to cover all bases. Thanks man
Awesome advice man, I'm headed to Walmart today to pick up some of that fish oil. And yeah I just got off of blast I'll be cruising for 6 weeks before I start a 14 week prep. So I wanna make sure it's good by then
I had a terrible reading a while back myself also. I began cholestoff plus niacin and magnesium and eat oatmeal with breakfast everyday..got me back inot normal ranges when not on cycle. When on numbers get worse but with yhis they have not gone too far off...i also take fish oil and coq10 but had always been taking those.
I'm definitely a fan of using oatmeal and eating nuts, they made a big difference in my cholesterol levels too
People have already covered the basic supps like fish oil, but the sarm gw501516 is also reportedly supposed to help cholesterol. No idea if it's true in practice or not
I'll look into it further. Yeah there's no one magical supplement out there I think just a good combo of most of what is mentioned is the way to go
A mixture of things I use (year round) and I've never had cholesterol problems.......
Mega red krill oil.
Liv52 ds.
Wild caught cod liver oil.
Tudca.
Garlic capsules (liquid like cod liver oil).
And a multi vitamin mixture.
And probably the obvious one plenty of water hope this helps buddy
Thanks man I'll look into those!
No problem buddy stay safe
Coenzyme Q10 (even my cardiologist agrees)
Fish oil
Niacin will help raise your HDL more than lower your LDL. It has its sides but if tolerated it's definitely worth its benefits. Niacin can raise your LFTs so you'll want to monitor blood work after 4 weeks or so.
Red yeast rice has been shown to help with LDL comparable to statins (prescription meds for cholesterol). Check it out.
Aerobic exercise will also help raise HDL. As well as a mediterranean diet. Leafy greens, veggies, fruits.
A lot of people don't realize it but there's a good amount of research out there suggesting high protein diets will mess with your cholesterol levels...
Thanks for the info I'll def look into those
Yeah protein I try to keep on the 1.2g per body weight or goal body weight of I'm cutting down. P
Niacin flushing is proven for me.
Fish oil, garlic supp, a piece of dark chocolate, coconut oil and 5oz of red wine is my protocol. I get bloods done twice a year for trt and has never been better!
Stats
Age: 27
Height: 5'10
Weight: 215
BF: 8-10%
niacin flushing works, yet it can have side affects, for example the tingling sensation is actually blood capillaries dilating, try increasing your fiber intake, omega 3s and try krill oil also, vitamin e and anti oxidants such as milk thistle all help.
Good point. I was on a keto diet for a while.
My current cruise diet has me at 38g of fiber ED so I'm hoping in another 8 weeks my levels will be in good range
