+ 23 IMPORTANT - eroids Integrity
We have had a problem, and probably will always have a problem, with gear whores. There has been lots of scolding sources for violations of the rules, but in this situation we have a list of members that all want to participate in an illegal PM promo and not inform MODs.
Integrity.
An interesting word, one that I personally value very highly in both my personal and professional capacities. In an online community such as this, integrity is a highly valued commodity, which makes me all the more disappointed to write this post.
Let's take a look at a scenario I've been investigating. An unverified source sends out a pm promo to a list of members offering freebies, quite a lengthy list at that. In the sources eyes, they're trying to get a head start on promoting their business. What should the member do? Apparently what a lot of you do is throw your integrity out of the window and accept the freebies in exchange for a review. It's a unverified source selling on pm, do I REALLY need to spell out the rules? Some of the names on the list are folks that have been here as long as I have. Folks that 100% know this isn't acceptable and won't be tolerated.
Let's consider what happens if everybody behaves like this. Plain and simply, it jeopardises everybody's safety. It's not just the mod team that are responsible, each and every one of you are a part of a unit that limits a sources ability to pull stunts. Just a few weak links in the chain can devalue our reviews process, you should all be aware that should you receive a pm of this nature you should contact a mod.
We will be cleaning up on this kind of behavior.

I honestly have no idea what you are talking about. I have only received gear from 3 sources on here. None of which was solicited, unless you count my EBC sponsor. I've never received a PM from a no name source, I'm pretty confused as to what you are referring to.
The source named you on a list of people they contacted with their offer. Considering the predicament the source found themselves in it wouldn't be particularly smart for him to lie to me.
If someone contacted me that doesn't mean I got anything from them. It doesn't even mean I read the PM to be honest I don't pay a ton of attention to PM's unless it's from someone I know. I am actually not trying to argue, but I have never received gear from anyone other than my normal sources. I often delete PMs without reading them, but I also have a pretty shitty memory. So it's possible someone contacted me and I forgot.
The only thing I can be sure of is no unverified sources have ever sent me a thing. I'd like them to produce my address if they claim they have. I'm to paranoid to use unverified sources, I like having a place to complain if it goes bad. I've been using the same source for over a year. I got in on 2 promo's but they were actual promo's. Other than that and my first order ever I have always used the same source.
I'm not worried about the karma, I've lost karma before Trenabolic took it and I was pissed until I realized (thanks to another MOD's explanation) that he was right. I just don't like having my integrity called into question. I have spoken to other members about sources they have used that are not listed on Eroids. But I've never ordered from one, or received anything from one.
I'm not getting all butthurt over it, but I know the only gear in this house is from sources that regularly fight for 1st on the list.
So what if a verified source did this sent someone a pm saying there doin a promo what do u want? Do we need to report that since its not been approved by bfg? Or is this issue just bc it was an unverified source

So that is what you guys think this is called? good to know, your not here for the benefit of helping eroids grow and be a safe site but rather just for your own selfish reasons. you guys need to think about what eroids does for you, and consider what you might do for it.

The reality of the situation is eroids as a whole is more important than individuals, that absolutely includes me. If it means I make myself as popular as rabies in the short term, then so be it. This sort of stuff isn't happening anymore. Rest assured when it does we'll find it.

AnonI was contacted by this source and for some reason was told to pick anything I wanted for a cycle. I never did business with this source and thought it was strange. I immediately posted the message on his SI and some did not agree with my method and Vike stated his opinion. I didnt take the gear cause all I have in this world is my integrity and my word. And I felt that offer compromised both those things, which I hold in high regard.
I must add no disrespect intended towards Gfit. Hope to see him back real soon

So your saying my name was on a list of PMs for an offer of some type from some new source? What was the offer? Did I take the offer? Obviously not! Seems like a witch hunt to me bro! BTW I get FRs by new sources quite a bit as I'm sure many hi karma members do. Usually its for advice on the process. I got one today as a matter of fact. Would you like me to report each pm request I get to a Mod? Didn't know that was a requirement. And surely didn't expect to get a scarlet letter next to my name for being helpful to new sources! This site has always had new sources giving promos in order to get their name out as far as I recall and it was fully accepted as a business practice, so what has changed?

To clarify, you didn't receive a PM asking for assistance, so I fail to see the relevance. What you received was a PM promo offering you free gear in exchange for a review from an unverified source. Considering you've been here as long as I have, your tag and position comes with responsibility to our community. In this instance, that means reporting it to a mod when an unverified source tries to run a promo against the rules.
The relevance is if it were an offer that would be assisting a source, wouldn't it?
A simple solution for this type of thing would simply not allow a new source a page until their verified.
So the issue is, you say an un named source sent me an offer, but never verified it, or what my response to the supposed offer was, but you felt it was necessary to put my name on a list of members who you say
How is that showing integrity?
And since I can find no such PM yet, I can't say any more about it. Enlighten me, and allow me the opportunity to defend myself.
I've explained to you the issue above, you either absorb that or you don't. I can't explain it any simpler than I already have and considering your condescending approach I'm not exactly inclined to try ;)

Mr KfizzleAll I did was accept a friend request and sent a message letting me know request was accepted on May 6th. I understand this is a dictatorship and I do not get a fair trial, it's guilty by association. I do not expect anyone to believe a word I speak so I will carry on and accept whatever punishment the punisher sees fit. Hell I had to ask around to find out what and who the hell this was even concerning.Just to be clear I do not mean any disrespect to any mods and I completely understand me being here is a privilege and not my right.
