+ 2 HRT Necessary?
I recently drew bloods for a basic hormone panel. My total testosterone seems rather low. Still waiting to see the doc to go over the rest of the results.
What are the chances a script of testosterone will be necessary, given my blood levels? It seems the other numbers are more or less within the normal range. Your input is appreciated!
EDIT: Seeing how several members have completely gotten me wrong about why I posted this, I will just wait to go over the test with my doctor. I just thought it would be nice to glean some insight into the possibilities beforehand. No biggie! And no, I do not want to have to jab myself in the ass for the rest of my life. To the contrary, I am hoping the doctor provides me with alternative solutions. Hopefully he doesn't respond to my questions in an equally pejorative manner.

AnonMy lab results for my primary care physician post on a website, and from there another appointment is scheduled to discuss results. So I too have early access, not necessarily a good thing though.
Mine also get posted to medical website, which I'm not use to. I normally get a call first telling me and then posting happens. Things are so different nowdays... But mostly for the good. Lol. I guess I was thinking toward him getting his own hormone panel, crashing his T for purpose of getting TRT.
Nope. Didn't purposefully crash my T. I took gear some years back, did the proper PCT, and have been off ever since. I am sure that might be a reason for the low total T. Then again it might be something unrelated altogether. Of course I will still ask the doc.
Same. Results already posted online and doctor's appointment is scheduled for next week. I know my total T range is low based on what is considered to be within the normal range: between 280 and 1100 total T. I do want to ask the doc why my level is low. Thought it would be cool to talk with someone else who had a similar issue beforehand. I guess that's bad?
AnonSo a good Dr will try to get you feeling better in other ways before prescribing trt, but you may want to use an endo, not your family doc.
If you're feeling fine then what's the big deal? Free test is more important than total anyways.
That's just it -- I'm not feeling fine. Chronically fatigued, cranky, wanting to sleep all the time but never feel rested upon waking up. Maybe it's just a part of getting older.
Or stop taking soma4u,
Those make you tired too
Molinin302Right where my mind went
I think it was his name why I cldnt take him seriously.. sorry no disrespect to the op, low t sucks, but we deal with alot of crazies..
Talk to the doctor and get your thyroid function checked. Could be out of whack. Mine was from my 20s. Easy to control and it makes a world of difference if this is the problem and you get on the correct dose of medication.
Thyroid controls all metabolism so if you are hypo like me everything slows down, no sleep, cranky, weight gain etc...
May not be the issue but worth getting it checked
AnonYeah fuck that. Maybe the doc will have suggestions
I'm 34 (still young). But no, I do not want to be on HRT if I don't need to be. Don't like the idea of having to jab myself with a needle for the rest of my life. Thanks for the input?
AnonMy test level dropped when I had kids. There's some phenomenon now a days that makes that a common theme.
RustyhookerIts called stress...lol
