How much in a single pinning?
ad
What's you limit in a single pinning? 2cc?, 3cc? Does it depend on where you are pinning?
I'm curious; I can hit my glutes with more than my legs, delts. Just wondering where people draw the line and do a second pin.

Talking about pinning... I planned on going and getting some 23 or 25 gauge 1 1/2" needles but my cousin is diabettic and has boxxes of 30 gauge 1 1/2 needles... will those work for my test C or should i go buy some 23/25's? Thanks for your help.
interesting the only thing ive seen in 30gauge is 1/3inch. if you tried to sink a 30 gauge 1 1/2 inches in it would most certainly break.
BD Makes a 30gauge 1 inch. They are pretty sturdy. If the oil will flow through it they are good to go.
I would be absolutely terrified to pin that! LOL...my body doesnt flex much anymore, just trying to hit glutes I get the sweats from twisting, ive learned how to do it in the mirror and on occasion when looking from mirror to behind me that needle is got some good bend to it.
It's funny that you say that. lol But have you ever tried to actually break a needle? You can actually fold it over on itself and it will not break. You have to go back and forth like twice and then it snaps.
Honestly my favorite of all time is the 27gauge 1 1/4 inches by BD. Try a few, you'll get hooked (no pun intended).
but on a side note ive been pinning with 29 gauge 1/2 inch slins just fine for TRT.
I just double checked and you are right... they are only 1/2"... gonna have to hunt some down tomorrow, my local pharmacy only carries 30's.
I thought 30 1 1/2 sounded suspicious .. Lol
30 gauge 1 1/2 probably would be less then ideal for an IM shot. Most test is relatively thick and is tough to pin anyway. With a 30 g pin I would think it would be very difficult, not impossible, but would take forever to inject due to a lot of back pressure.
I am a little girl pansy in my fear of things like sterile abscesses and infections and the like. For me, 3 cc in the glutes 2 cc everywhere except delts - 1 cc. I saw the post by Viking below about drawing out abscesses and I thought I was gonna blow cookies. Festering oils??
For some ideas, see the famous:

X2, I never put a lot of oil in one spot. Why take the risk?
I've never pinned over 2ml in one spot.
I keep it to 3ml's in glutes, ventro, and quads, 2 ml shoulders, 1 ml tris.. If I have to pin more the 3ml I'll split it into multiple pins. I don't like large volumes because I feel it may increase your chance of abscess. THIS IS JUST MY PARANOIA, to each his own.
AnonI can put 6ml in the glutes and 3ml in the delts
Just because you can doesn't mean it's a good idea.
neither is injecting anything that didnt come from a script from the local pharmacy!
Hey, I am totally with you on this one.
I can do 3.5 without any issues in the glutes and delts. 3cc pins can actually hold 3.5 but the plunger gets a little wobbly at the top.
i just finished my pinning for today about half hour ago..... 5ml in total but i used 3 pins, .......
2ml test E in left delt............. (300 mg/ml)
2ml deca in right delt......... (250 mg/ml)
1ml mast E in left pec............ (300 mg/ml
All longs so just 2x pr wk protocol at the moment...... i never shoot any more than 2ml in any muscle group inc ventros.
When cutting i usually run around 10ml pr day, again never more than 2ml in any area.
In the past i have had to self draw abcess,s with a couple of 21g pins pushed in to it at 45 degree angles..... not pleasant let me tell you and that was from shooting 3ml and above, the oil pool just sits there and festers due to the fascia around the oil ball being overly damaged... so from that i learned 2ml is my max.
Bro, my breakfast is gonna come up. Festering, putrid oil pools? Tell me your just having some fun here. (I suspect not, though).
dead serious bro.............. only a couple of months back our brother ED (engineereddisaster) hit me up in PM about hitting an abcess with the same tactics i just mentioned above, after sucking out the shit and a hefty dose of anti-biotics he was sorted.... not nice for any man but real.
Thanks for weighing in Viking, Pins are cheap.
I did 6 1/2cc for about 14 weeks straight at 2 shots a week to the glutes. 1 5ml pin will hold exactly 6 1/2cc
I never go above 3cc in any muscle. If I had a 5cc pin day I'd split it 2cc and 3cc.
I go by this:
Delts 1-1.5cc
Quads 3cc
Glutes 3cc
I only pinned my delts my first two cycles and only used 22g needles, very inexperienced lol. But I have large scar tissue built up and never pin them anymore, too much pain trying to break through that.
Love the quads, so many places you can pin there, you can move up and down, hit the side of your quad, hit the tear drop, tons of places, rarely get pip there either.
Glutes are pretty versatile as well, but I always seem to get pip there so I only use them when I've been over using the quads.
Agreed. Solid info. I love ventro glutes and they can take quite a bit. Over have any pain while injecting or any pip there as well.
Quads are great man! I was so afraid of moving to another location when I was noob, I wish I would have been more open minded. Don't we all!!
Hey Jason, I tend to believe its also size dependent! Granted, larger muscle groups will hold more volume. Let's use delts as an example. Ronnie coleman could easily pin 3cc and probably more in his massive delts without fear of an abscess, whereas a much smaller bodybuilder doesn't have the capacity to absorb that amount. Im not a big man and I like concentrated compounds with a minimal amount of oil being pinned.
Thanks brother. I've got to agree with you and the comments of others that reflect what I was thinking.
I am only 5'9 and 175#. My glutes are about the only place that I think I would want to go 3ml. or higher.
Current cycle is a testE/EQ mix that comes to 2.5ml. I hit my ventro this morning, and will try my quad in a few days, but anyplace else, I am going to go with two pins.
I believe that is a wise choice brother! Safety and caution should always be of paramount importance!
3 Everywhere. All though I've gone up to 5. Noid goes 5 all the time !!
2 cc shoulder tris bis
3-4 quads
5cc glutes
4cc in the quads and 5cc in the glutes is not a good idea. The amount of problems you will possibly run into is exponential to the amount you inject. At those dosages you're just begging for problems like an abscess.
Those are the maximum amounts you can inject. I base my info on the medical field not bodybuilding so perhaps u may be right nd are too big if u need to inject frequently nd also train frequently.
I do appreciate the reference to the medical community. It is true that in some cases 5cc is administered ( and is necessary for the well-being of the patient), but most nurses (and they are typically the ones that do injections) don't feel comfortable with anything over 3cc as the practice is so uncommon.
Since your average person on the boards probably has even less experience than a nurse and problems are exponentially correlated with the amount of volume injected it is probably best to keep it under 3cc.
However, for those of you that are willing to venture into the 5cc arena the following link will be informative and helpful. Hope this helps the community.

Im not a nurse but I m student in a medical-related faculty nd I have injected myself 5ml painkiller solution in some patients glutes w\o any problem but I have never gone beyond 5. Not only nurses inject ;)
Good job buddy. Now is the solution oil-based? ;)
Look, all I'm saying is that for your average layman without medical training it is best to keep things as safe as possible. The lower the volume, the less risk. With your background you have to back me up on that point.
I totally agree, it is better to be safe than sorry. I have pinned both oil nd water based but yeah, if u wanna stay away from trouble stick to the minimum.
When I say glutes its right superior cuadrant otherwise u can mess with the sciatic nerve
You can get away with 3cc in most muscle groups except, probably for triceps biceps and calves. But it is not unheard of people going up to 5cc (definitely not recommended). Back in the day, most EQ was 50 mg per cc and it was not uncommon for guys to load up 5cc syringes to accommodate the necessary volume of oil.
GearofWarWell, 3cc/ml is the biggest syringe I've come across at usual sources for pins. So I'll draw up as much as 3cc if need be. For example last night I loaded up each ventroglute with 3ml of Eq for a total of 6cc oil. I was frontload ing the Eq portion of my cycle so that's highly unusual but it's not unheard of. Obviously larger muscle groups hold more oil than smaller so there's that to consider. Quads, ventroglutes, and glutes are the spots I go to when the need for pining big arises.
I have 5cc syringes but I only use them to stack oils with on heavy stack cycles. They are a broader syringe so it is a much slower plunge. On a "normal" cycle I'll just multi-pin on an a.m/p.m schedule
GearofWarOh snap, 5cc syringes?! That's crazy. I'd ask you where to get them but it's so unusual to ever need anything that big in the arsenal(barring frontloads). It could be cool just to have a few in the cabinet for a just in case scenario. As always, thanks for the knowledge sir!
