How many pins do you get per needle?
ad
I find that if I place the needle carefully back in the plastic cap without touching it with the tip I can get about three pins out of the same needle before it feels like I'm harpooning myself. I am just being a cheap skate masochist?

You're kidding, correct? Please respond to us bros and let us know that you understand. Two darts or pins - one to draw (throw it away) inject with a fresh pin. Otherwise you compromise yourself and possibly your compounds with tissue that should not be floating in your vile.
If you are not joking then this is probably a good post to leave up - others may be thinking its ok to reuse pins.
Now I see your response below - you get it, good post. You're a stud for asking - no homo.
GearofWarONE. I totally understand the appeal of re-using pins. Less $$ spent, convenient if you run out of clean sharps, etc. But please guys, don't compromise your safety, health, and well-being to save a few bucks or a minor inconvenience. I don't care about the sharpness of the pin, either. I could pin with a rusty ice pick. Don't re-use men. It's just not worth it. Bacteria can live on, in, and under dermis tissue, and be very tenacious when it comes to dying. You may think you've cleaned those pins well enough only to go into some sort of septic shock a few days later. Thats my .02. Play it smart, safe and ante up. Be clean boys. -GoW
Y risk it bro 1 n out
only 1 and drawing and pinning should b 2 separate. this is important. when I was an iv drug user. I would probably get around 20/30 per 1 if I couldn't get any. stay safe my friend.
CleyonOne and done! I use one to draw, a fresh one to inject. I NEVER (that's not true, I've been stupid once or twice), re-use a needle.
Let's see, a box of 100 syringes with needles cost $14, and then the box of 100 needles costs $9
Tha's .23 an injection, as anyone really so cheap that they'd risk injection for .23?
ONE SHOT ONLY.... THEN BIN IT...... PERIOD.
Thank you for all the feed back. Went and got a box of pins right this morning. Believe it or not I got the idea or reusing pins from a roid vet at the gym. I rather feel stupid now for asking than later getting an infection.
Follow up question: Do you reuse the syringe or new one every time? Following the logic from the comments below, it seems to me that as you aspirate you are contaminating the syringe...
new everything for the shot going in your body
AnonI think you are confused. The contamination its self it not the problem its what grows because of the contamination. A sterile object is safe because bacteria cant grow on it, when you "contaminate " the needle or barrel with your own blood thats fine, but if you let that needle sit around now, some nasty stuff would grow and fester in there.
Plus as I said the things get dull fast, your injections will not only be safer with a new needle, but less painfull.
Pins are cheap. Why risk an infection or contaminating your vial. New one to draw and new one to inject.
1 and only 1!
In my opinion i think its fine to use the same draw needle a few times as long as you make sure you keep it sanitary, always alcohol swipe the tops of bottles, when i am done with draw pin i put it back in its wrapper, then wrap that up in the plastic that my syringe came in.. i have been doing this for over 14 years on and off and never had a problem, i will use the same draw pin like 3 times during the week then i will toss it...But ALWAYS a new pin to shoot with
AnonI started reuse draw needle but stop after my sister and law explained why u shouldn't she is a nurse.
Its not sterile after you use it once. I told her I was wiping it with alcohol wipes but she told me that don't mater its not sterile. She stated the inside of the needle isn't getting disinfected so its still a unsterilised pin to draw with so why put it in a sterile vial.
She was more technical then what i said but hard to explain on a phone walking a tread mill
maybe i am wrong, i just dont see how its unsterile, its only being exposed to the sterile oil in the vial then being put back in same sterile wrapper it came it. the only thing going through it is oil.. idk, at any rate i have never had any issues and it keeps me from going thru a thousand draw pins, i always use short esters so i pin alot
AnonAsk her if it would make any more or less of a difference depending on the compound you drew up through it. I imagine some things they use in hospitals will grow bacteria when exposed to air, I dont think our oils will. Just a thought, and glad to hear they arent cheaping out in the hospitals !
AnonWill do she don't know much on the subject of streiods, what she knows is the side effects and what to look for if something is wrong as in bad sides.
Been trying to educate her and wife with what i learned here and in all my research.
AnonAlso on a side note i get my pins free from her.
AnonYeah I'll use the same pin many times to draw up my oils, but always a new one to shoot.
Forget the sanitary aspect, the needle gets dull fast , why anyone would want a dull needle is beyond me.
AnonWhat !!!!? you are injecting your self multiple times with the same needle ? You shouldnt aught to be doing dat you wascally wabbit
Anon1 new to draw and 1 new to pin every time. Why risk it for the price of a pin.
Being cheap now can cost you down the road in doctor bills if you get an infection. Pins are cheap so play it safe or it might cost you in the long run.
new needle each time brother!!
you cant put a price on your own safety,
cost of needles shouldn't be an excuse
be safe!
My buddy pins thru rubber stopper than into ass 3 or more times per pin till he has to force needle thru skin.
I use one needle to draw several times and a fresh one to inject every time.
Why? Needles are so cheap. It's an unnecessary risk. Your popping the stopper, putting the pin away (it's been exposed to the air) and popping it into your sterile vial again? Guess what? That vial isn't sterile anymore bro
Unless your shit is made in a pharm lab your shit ain't sterile anyway. No matter what..
Remember when I first joined and I posted about using a whatman on ALL UGL's I got? I would filter it all into sterile vials. Ppl called me paranoid. Lol.
CleyonNot true, sterilizing oil doesn't take a autoclave. I'd like to hope that all of our suppliers heat the oil as the final step in the process.
You GOT to be kidding me right?! NO YOU DIH-EN'T?!
WTF!!!!!!!!!! no way he is being for reals!
Wow! I hope you don't do this anymore
Point taken guys, thank you. I was actually cleaning them each time with alcohol wipes. I do draw with a different one. New pin each time. Done.
Anonit's in your best interest to take as few risks as possible. even tho you clean the outside of the needle shaft, the inside is still exposed to bodily fluids upon injection. the oils may wash some of it out while pinning, but some may remain. before you know it, you could wind up with blood borne pathogens that are injected subsequently. always play it safe.
X2+1 Welcome to level 3 : )
Anonspoken like a true scientist, wanted to say the same thing but my version sounded kind of retarded +1
AnonOMG.. stop doing that!!!!! Needles are cheap as fuck.. you can get 100 for like $15 to $20. That's just dangerous...come on man!!!
http://www.eroids.com/forum/steroids-qa/accessories/effects-of-reusing-n...
I change the needle after I puncture through the vial rubber stopper!!!
AnonX2
do not reuse your needles bro. buy them buy the case. they're not that expensive.
