+ 2 Getting your spouse on board

ad

So last week, I decided to get on the juice for the first time...thanks to all the info on this site, I feel confident enough to run my 1st cycle in a safe manner. Placed my order on Thursday from one of the top src here & just waiting for it to arrive.

My question to you all is did any of you consider hiding your cycle from your spouse?

I did wonder how will my wife take this?
Will she think I'm screwing up my body?
Will she adopt the same skewed views that the fickle media has about AAS?
Meaning only deaths, sides effects, & roid rage stories make it on the news.

Well, I decided to come clean with her but I did it in spurts...just like they say, "love comes in spurts"...dumb joke, i know. What I mean is that I did about 4 months of research and throughout those months, I would tell my wife about some of the things I learned about gear, safe cycles, pct, sides, etc.

I never hid my intentions from her.
But I never overwhelmed her either.

Over dinner, I'd tell her a thing or two.
At a stop light, a couple more.
A week later, a bit more.

Throughout my research, the more informed I became & the more that I shared my info with her, she never once thought I was going to fk myself up. And thanks to the info on this site, I was able to answer all her questions.

She's on board with me & my decision.

I can't even imagine hiding something this big from someone you're sharing your life with.

I admit that I did think about doing my cycle without her finding out.
But the more I found out about AAS on this site, it put my mind at ease & it provide me with the information I could share with my wife to put her mind at ease, too.

Just wanted to share how I went about it...

I'm 40 & she's 46. We've been married 5yrs.

Never hide anything from your wife. It is a two way road. How would you feel if she was hiding something from you. Should have talked with her right out of the gate before placing your first order. She may would have said Hell No!! or would be Ok with it. You can provide all the info to her will that convince her. Need real hard numbers from a doctor. The biggest problems is finding a doctor that will help you. I was in the same boat that you are in now when I was 40. Did not know about Eroids at the time. Went to a few doctors had blood work done and had low T. The doctors said your fine. I found Eroids. My wife and I took matter in our own hands.

First off, your name is bad ass. Even though he died quickly kahl drogo was my favorite character so far. Second of all, here is what I did. I showed my wife some articles, research and postings on eroids and other various outlet that shed a good light on AAS, then some of the bad. Then I explained to her how I would not abuse it, and how I have the knowledge to be safe and responsible here. I also made her a promise that if AAS EVER caused me to get out of control (a la roid rage on tv style) in front of my kids or to her I would stop and she could throw it all away. Hiding it is not a good idea, just be honest. That's my 2 cents man, she is your wife for a reason and I'm sure she would be more understanding then you might think.

Thanks.

I read all the books & saw all episodes.
It took me all summer to get my wife to see the first 4 episodes.
She would see 20 minutes of an episode when we'd go to bed & then fall asleep.

Two weeks ago, I finally got her to binge watch the remainder of season 1.
She's officially hooked!

Now, we're in the middle of season3 & she can't wait to watch the rest...

Always best to be honest in a relationship.

Whenever anyone is considering using gear and is also considering hiding from their partner, I always ask them the same question. "Do you like your life the way it is now?" I ask this for one reason. Hiding steroids and everything that comes with it is lying. My marriage is built on honesty and trust. Steroids introduces a lot of things that can be deal breakers. Mood changes, needles, money spent, not to mention it's illegal. If my wife walked in and saw me with a huge syringe sticking out of my ass and we hadn't discussed what was going on, she'd flip out. And she would have every right. Or worse, what if she found a bunch of needles in my top dresser drawer? She'd think I was using drugs or something. Hiding money isn't any better. I could go on and on. Bottom line is, if you hide it and you get caught, you could risk losing your partner and that wonderful life you love. If you like your life and you're happy, be honest.

I think you coming forward with it and talking about was the right move. Eventually she would find out anyway, you cant hide it forever. +1 for being upfront and putting the time in where it counts most....learning!

Thank you.

I just didn't want to feel "ashamed" about something that I took a long time to research & decided to introduce into my life.

This is a great post. I took a similar route, I told my woman about my previous cycling history and gave her little bits of information over time. This way it wasn't overwhelming and I was able to be really informative about every component of my history and (eventually) what I was planning to do for my next cycle. By the time she was comfortable with me doing it, we had decided to do a cycle together! I've been training with her for almost a year now, and I've never been so happy in the gym! I love my woman, and working out with my fiance is pretty much the best way to work out.

Wow! A cycle together is quite a feat.

My wife & I have been working out together for 3 years.
She's the health nut. Impeccable diet. Etc.

But I don't foresee her participating.

Maybe if everything goes well with my first cycle & we both like the results...she might consider it.

Keep lifting.
