+ 20 Get it done in the KITCHEN
I see a common recurring theme over and over here. We see lots of talk about compounds and dosing. Questions about why we aren't seeing any gains or that the gains just stopping coming. We have forgotten that real lasting gains come from the kitchen. The compounds we use are tools. With out the diet in place, we are not using our tools to their fullest potential. EAT, and then EAT some more. It is the hardest part of this game, harder than working your legs (well, some of you don't, lol). Harder than busting your ass in the gym day in and day out.
Once when I was brand new to the game a very smart man said to me the secret to life is "getting it done in the kitchen." I can't express to you how true this is and the sooner you "get" it the sooner you will begin to experience the gains like never before.

if wasn't for the grill... I would go crazy. Everything taste better over a flame.
that sandwich on your profile has me drooling ... love bacon
Helllloooo CHEAT DAY! Just returned from a breakfast of Lobster, Salmon and Ham Benedict! :)))
You should have thrown in some bacon in there too for good measure ..
RustyhookerI have easier time staying big and lean by eating everything. Low fat but high in everything else. I go nutty on cardio so dropping carbs doesn't work for me. Kitchen is the hardest part.
You got that right. Kitchen is a work in progress for me. I have gotten amazingly better at it tho since joining up here..
RustyhookerMany great food ideas to be found. This spring is gonna be epic!
I don't why someone negged you on that but I reversed it..
Just had this conversation yesterday. I've got a cackle of 17yr olds following me around in the gym asking training advise. They spend hour after hour in the gym overtraining. So I give them a little training advise and always turn the conversation to diet and overtraining. I've finally got them off the bullshit supplements. Told them better to buy steak. I told them to watch the Dorian Yates blood and guts on you tube for training. Then I told them training is the fun part. The real work in this game is in the kitchen. Eat a fistful of meat, a fistful of carbs, and a fistful of greens every 3 hours everyday. They looked at me like I was on crack. I hope they don't give up before they get it, they have so much unbridled enthusiasm and train very hard. Only time will tell.
I have this conversation every day.. "Why did I stop gaining? Why can't I lose any fat? Why doesn't my gear work anymore? Why aren't I getting any bigger? Why did I lose what I gained?" and on and on.. and the answer is the food you aren't eating.... the junk you are eating... everyone gets caught up in the dosages game, the compound game and the supplement game, not realizing that if they want to add and keep muscle they have to eat to support it ... this means eating just as much off cycle as on cycle..
agreed, see a lot of dudes around the place complaining their gear is bunk coz they only gained a few kgs, or dudes bragging about running heavy 2gram a week cycles of test deca and drol etc and only weigh in at 75kgs, people don't understand to get big you need to eat big, and that means huge, eat like bird look like a bird, eat like a gorilla look like a gorilla!!!
lol... birds are cute and maybe fast, but they have bird legs and don't get very big at all.. lol
BigBmajDon't gorillas only eat leaves and bark?? When I tried that diet I ended up looking more like a bird.
For years prior to Eroids I thought going to the gym lifting and doing cardio was all it took.. Now I spend my days off standing in the kitchen preparing meals. It's made a big difference.
old.. people throw the baby out with the bath water..and forget that muscles are made by eating and resting ...
bbondsNice post grrrl i couldnt agree more i learned this first hand once i start to eat more and put more
Energy and focus on my meals i started gaining mass and strength like it was nobodys business.
Nice post Grrrl. It's all about the eating.

Now get your ass back in the kitchen.
you are slipping Ed, you forgot to tell me to make you a sammich ..lol
Lol. I know.. My bowels won't handle sammiches these days. Sucks getting old.
+1!!
Too many guys depend on that extra gear to take up for their slack of eating or training. Its sad but its true. Food is Key!!
Great post!
