Goddamn puppies, my girl had been bugging me for one..... Yes, i caved in.. Now guess who is the one getting up with it, feeding it, taking it outside, cleaning up its messes? YEP, ME........ I am tired as fuck, and had to miss the gym yesterday.... again...FUCKING PUPPIES....LOL...... i just want my routine back. Anyone got ideas on what helps puppies sleep through the night better? Yes, this is a rant post lol.... little shit is finally napping, so what do i do? Get on EROIDS duh... haha late gym sesh tonight with the lady.....

Puppies are like children and the hyperactivity will never really go away for a couple of years til its an adult.. if you want a calmer dog usually older rescues are easier to handle if you have less time to train. Just train it like every one said and over time itll calm down
A night light
White noise; a clock, radio or TV turned on.
Give it a rawhide chew.
Get a shirt from the hamper and put it in the crate with it. the scent will make it feel less alone.
Bro I feel ya! I have a 2yr old Great Dane! The thing that worked best was cratering him early! I know the pup will whine and whine in a crate but in the Long run well worth hit! Now my dog will go chill in his crate without even bein told to. Put a cloc of some sort that ticks that will help emm sleep cuz the pup will think that's there moms heart beating, I hope that helps ya out.
1jakd_hipyA way to stop the whining is cover the crate and have someone sit next to it quietly after you put him in it, when he starts to whine hit the crate really hard after a night or 2 of this he'll think them at whining makes a really loud and scary noise
My Husky died in April 2012 after 18 years. To say the least I was devastated, I swore I would never get another dog. Well I moved my girl and kids in and in August they talked me into a puppy. She is half Pit and half Irish Pointer(she looks like a Beagle on steroids) perfect for me LOL. She was supposed to be the kids dog but she has attached herself to me like my Natasha use to. After months of her pissing all over the house and being destructive she has become a great dog and part of our family. I will never be able to replace my Husky but it is nice to come home to the welcome she gives me after a hard days work. It will get better, and you will grow to love that pain in the ass one day.
you gotta kennel train them...it breaks them quick. i broke 2 in about 2 weeks. about 6 months later they stayed out of their kennels and slept all night
she is kennel trained, well as much as a puppy can be.... She is in her kennel all day while i am at work, then she is sleeping in there also..... well when she sleeps.... are you saying just let her bark at night?
yea dont pay any attention to it...if you come down and check on her she is going to continue to do it...it will subside pretty quickly. also try taking her on a little run/jog in the evening

Put up w/ it for a month... That's it... they're like babies. I dealt w/ same thing w/ my ex-wife... 2x's 1st time I did everything like ur doing now. 2nd time I said f' it you wanted the damn dog you take care of it... I didnt clean up after it at all, I took it out when I took the other dog out, but that's it... It learned really quick actually. Dont beat it, dont drug it... Make her do what she said she would do!! I am divorded though... Ya kno I jus looked at it like 1st time stupid me, 2nd time aint happening.
haha you guys are fucked up.... I didnt want the damn thing in the first place, but i am not about to kill it..... I just want it to fucking sleep so i get my ass up for the gym, get my routine back....

If you put enough aspirin in let's say a piece of hamburger the little rascal will have an aneurysm or stroke! Looks like an accident. Or if you can say perhaps sneak a little antifreeze into the little scamps water, that looks like an accident too. A puppy is a womans way of testing you for a BABY! And if you think a puppy interrupts your routine? Wait till you see what a human puppy can do.... LOL Time to nip this in the bud and make it look like it's her fault if you can that should buy you time. A little trauma to the girl friend for having killed the new puppy is well worth it when it comes to protecting your routine..
PS the holidays are coming and poinsettia (That's that plant your girl buys with the red leaves) is deadly to dogs, spread a little gravy on the leaves ;)

Depends on the breed, but you're probably fucked for 6 months. Take it to a dog park or regular park and let that thing run! Dog park is the only way I could make my Doberman stop whining for half a year. Also Benadryl can help a little, but nowhere near as good as exercise
Give the pup a couple of days and he'll get used to it. He just misses his mom.
Find him a secure place like a kennel or a crate in your home, where he can get used to and feel secure and he will be fine.
If he continues after a while, just eat him. Puppies are very high in protein.
