Fasting Before Bloodwork

So I am about to get some more bloodwork done becuase when i got my physical they didnt test for what i wanted to see....my question is they always tell me to fast before, but is it that necessary?? I want to get them done today, but can wait til tomorrow morning if necessary.

AnonSome tests require it some dont. Testosterone and Estrogen dont if I recall corectly. Many other blood levels do require 12 hours of fasting though. You dont want to mess up the results.
