extra tests in addition to hormone levels
ad
So Im going to get my hormone levels checked through one of the online labs. When browsing the site I noticed they offer many more tests and I figured if im already going in I may want to get a few more run just for the hell of it. So my question is what extra tests have you guys had done (if any) and why?

BigBmajI like to look at all of the following.
CMP
PSA
estrogens. Estradiol and total
Progesterone.
Igf 1.
Serum GH
thyroid panel. TSH T3 T4
B 12
Vit D
You can get crazy and order all sorts of shit tho
Homocysteine
C reactive protein
All lipid levels.
Depends on what you are looking at genetically. I did all the blood sugar stuff and heart stuff because dad was all messed up in those areas.
Just grab a copy of a blood chart and look up the codes and go nuts. I've had everything tested under the sun.
Hope your insurance covers it. I had one come back at like $1500
If you're using privatemdlabs - I run this pre and post cycle:
Male Athletic Anti-Aging Panel
- I think it's got most things like testosterone, estrogen, ALT/AST, T3/T4, lipids, etc. including SHBG and prolactin as well as urinalysis. What's missing off the top of my head is IGF1 or growth hormone, if using HGH (though I think IGF1 is the more important test).
It's not exactly inexpensive though.
Just checked it out and im sold.
check lipids - cholesterol, hdl/ldl/triglycerides
another good one to check is cbc which checks your blood cells, hematocrit, platelets etc
for kidneys you can do basic metabolic - bun, creatinine, sodium, potassium, co2, calcium, eGFR
and finally a urinalysis is always a good idea
Thanks for the info bro!
angusFree and weakly bound test. That is where the magic is. The better that value the more gains you'll have.
Prolactin if you are on a 19
Pregnancy test if you really wanna fuck with them. Don't forget to put your name down as Mike Hunt or something clever like that.
