First and foremost I want to extend a deep thanks to BFG for making the EBC possible. Catalyst you're a soldier for sticking with me during these last few weeks, I appreciate all of the hard work and effort you put into the organizing of this EBC even when faced with what you were going through. Thank you.
A extra special thanks to all of the competitors who entered this EBC and to the amazing Src's who support this competition time and time again. Without you this wouldn't be nearly as much fun:)
To the members who saw this competition all the way through I salute you. It not only takes lots of hard work but it also takes good fortune. Life happens and rarely waits for us to catch up, finishing this thing is an accomplishment in itself. Congrats.
Let me say that this comp was extremely tough and the top 10 was some of the closest scores that I can think of. 6th and 7th place finishers missed the top 5 by 1 and 2 points respectively. It is almost not fair that some of you are not pictured in the top 5. This part of the show is the toughest and most draining part of the EBC for me personally. I have watched you all grow and perform when the money was on the line. I am a huge supporter of all of you and wish I didn't have to narrow it down to a Top 5 . With that said folks I am distinctly proud of this field for the Fall 2014 Free for All.

Carlos you did a great job some of these guys need to figure out that bodybuilding as a sport or in a contest like this or just staying in shape is about challenging yourself seeing if you an be better than you were before. Also guys everybody cant win everybody doesnt get a ribbon its not field day this was amazing that even the top 5 all got some gear. Go enter a local show all you do is pay money to get in and get a lousy trophy if you place Please guys get real this was free you didnt pay to enter you should be happy that there is a place like this that we can share our love for workingout

damn that's exactly what I was thinking, when I go to shows gottta pay entry fee, npc card, hotel most of times cause now weigh-in and checkin are the night before sow pay for the hotel, I gotta bring all my shit plus a cooker pans and shit to prepare meals that cost a lot of money, just to spray tan at the show with there npc stuff is 100 it does a good job but its just a payng and payng, I love doing shows but if I after decied if to get ready for an ebc or a show, ill take the ebc any time, its free and youre actually sweeting blood for something that will help you a lot in future, between all that gear and a 5 dollar trophy ill go for the ebc

Back to business, Prize lists have been sent to nearly all of the Top 5. Due to security concerns there will be further talk of the prize list. The Top five will all still be required to submit pix of their prize packs as they land in order for the EBC to award the 10star votes for it's amazing sponsors.

AnonHere is word for word what I ask of the judges along with a complex scoring criteria. You all can have a look before I show the scorecard tonight.:
First and foremost I wanted to humbly thank all of you who have agreed to partake in the judging of this EBC. Being that so many people work so hard for these EBC contests I plead to you that you give everyone 100% of your energy and focus and fairness.
You are now all judges of the Fall 2014 Free for All. Which means you will be held to certain standards of privacy and info sharing. No talk of anything that is said inside of this group to anyone in private. That even means amongst yourselves. Trust me nobody will go through your PMs to assure your confidentiality is being met but let me explain what might happen
If we talk too much. One of the judges might be on the fence of a certain competitors score. Other judges become a little too vocal and now what might have been an innocent score could now very well have been changed due to judge talk.
I want YOUR SCORES. Not somebody else's score. Score as honestly and brutal as possible. No favors for hug karma tags. No favors for pros. None of that shit matters to me at all. I don't Care if the person is adored by all cuz none of that preferential treatment has any room here in the EBC.
The EBC is such a huge undertaking, the EBC represents all that is possible when people use the many facets Eroids encompasses. Quality gear, proven training and nutrition secrets. Most importantly I wanted the EBC to represent the brotherhood and camaraderie I know all of you have experienced as members of Eroids. We are one big family. We may fight and bicker but when anyone here needs genuine help, people know they can come here and get support for anything life throws at them.
So here we are, present and at the forefront for the entire website to witness our Top 5. I want all of you to clear your minds of any preconceived thoughts on tags and popularity. That means absolutely zero now. The best efforts and results always win. Do not worry about the outcomes and whether the choices you make are popular. I want your most brutally honest judgements and that is all I can ask. Whatever is said after I announce our scorecards I will deal with it and I will deal with it alone. What is vital now is that any and all biases we have get thrown out the window. The majority if people who finish this comp poured their heart and soul into this effort and they deserve our best effort as does the amazing Sources who have pledged donations that make up our huge Prize List. Let's make BFG and all of Eroids proud!!!
The five categories contestants will be scored on are as follows:
1) Goal precise execution
2) Proportion
3) Overall Change & Improvement
4) Presentation
5 Wow factor
Score each category 0-3
Zero being the absolute worst a person can do and 3 being the absolute best they could do.
Here's some info Tread wrote about how to determine some of the scoring. Here is what he wrote and we have used since he came up with the system; its a bit long sorry I didn't have time to make it more judge friendly:
Judges, you will judge each of the 5 categories on a score of 0-3. Keep in mind, each contestant in this free for all will have had a different goal. Judge each according to their own individual achievment please. As you look at each category a 0 will be no change at all and a 3 will be maximum achievement. Our goal is to stress the height of the bar for a score of 3. To deliver a 3 you are saying that the contestant did either the most one could do in this category or were very close to the most one could do. If any improvement was possible, then 3 should be eliminated.
We have devised a protocol in judging that attempts to remove as much bias as possible as to our own likes and dislikes and attempt to deliver score on merit alone. The reason for this is that we are the "Eroids Body Challenge" and our goal is not that of a bodybuilding contest, fitness contest, physique contest or even that of a weight loss contest. Our own bias individually will tend to be in one or more areas but we should attempt to only look to the goal of this specific competition which are in the 5 categories listed above.
We should also look to judge each as an inividual and not put the contestants against each other in this initial judging. If we have any ties we may come back later and put contestant against contestant but for this round, judge each by the protocol of judging only please.
Ok now the criteria and direction.
Our sytem attempts to eliminate scores as opposed to picking and scoring, making it easier to arrive at an actual score. Once you follow the protocol, following and referencing the criteria and direction in each category for one contestant, I suspect you will be able to judge the remaining contestants without referencing the criteria at all. The criteria really is simple as complex as it may sound initially.
For example, we begin with candidate X and take the first category, Goal Precise execution. Follow this instruction to arrive at your score then repeat for each of the remaining 4 categories.
As to the score of 0, did the contestant make any progress at all in Goal Precise execution if no, award a 0 and move to the next category. If yes, we have eliminated a score of zero.
As to the score of 3, did the contestant make the maximum progress Goal Precise execution or very close to the best one could do in the weeks given considering "their personal start place"? If yes, award the score of 3 and move to the next category. If no, we have now eliminated a score of 0 and of 3 and we now have a score of 1 and 2 remaining.
As to the score of 2, was the contestant considered for the award of 3? In other words, did you grapple at all with awarding them a 3 given their progress was great but just not quite enough for a 3? If yes, then award the score of 2 and move to the next category. If no then we now consider the award of 1 but have not ruled out a 2.
Now your real skill as an individual with your background comes into play. You now have the task of deciding, did the contestant show little progress but only enough to avoid a score of 0? If so, award a 1. If not, you now have to determine if they overcame the hurdle of 1 and deserve a 2? This actually should be pretty simple with your personal backgrounds which is why you were chosen for this task. If progress was in the middle of the road and you think the work overcame a score of 1 but just not a 3 then award 2. Still, this will be your decision judges. Please use the protocol so we all arrive at a decision with an equal application and standard to all contestants, we owe that to them for all their hard work.
Max score for one contestant will be a 15 using 3 points max per category and 5 categories. Please consider, 15 should be a very high bar meaning near perfection in all 5 categories.
Now is the time for questions about the criteria. Ask away. When the deadline passes I will comb through all of the final pix and make any disqualifications that I feel warrant it. After I do so I will drop a final list of competitors that you will need to judge. I will post their links here and make this as easy as possible for all of you.
Hold your scores until I ask for them. I will ask all of you to deliver them by way of PM to Me. Please DO NOT discuss contestants among each other here or elswhere. We want your individual unbiased decisions without sway from another judge or member.
Once the Judging begins I will give all of you 72 hours to deliver you cards. If at the end of the 72 hours more time is needed then we will accommodate as needed. I would rather take longer to get this right than push you all and deliver suspect results.
One last final instruction. Please do not speak of you being a judge to others on the website. Also please do not discuss your cards with others including other judges. We must keep anonymity at the top of what we do. Keeping it as non biased as possible is the goal.

Great work all of you that reached the finish. I don't envy the choices the judges had to make but overall I think they did a pretty damn good. There is no question you five really stood out. I think you ladies did great this EBC. I truly believe KB007 had to have been close to the podium and you Littletigar24 really tightened up as well. Shot out to Mrs Fizzle too, you look great!
phil113kgFirst let me say congrats to all who participated and had the guts to finish. And congrats who were lucky enough to place the top 5!! I had to wait to make this reply after reading the results because let's be honest here, I was and am still pissed off royally. Now by no means am I trying to rub anyone raw but let me call an ace a spade. I don't understand how these things are judged and am discourage from doing the EBC again. Sometimes I can look the other way and not say a thing because I know the other times I competed in the past EBC I didn't give it my all due to being off or not giving it my 100%. But by looking at my finish product I displayed will allow anyone without a doubt that I deserved a higher placing. So now that's off my chest I can focus on other things rather than this upset.
