Enzymes convert steroids to other steroids

When androgens were made, the bonds and hydroxyl groups etc were created to alter the dynamics of the drug and tweak how it was processed in the body and on paper most of them weren't expected to convert into a host other compounds but in reality they did.

Enzymes are very important in how the body processes steroids and thats why its best to have a good base of muscle and low bf before your start.

This is the reason why all steroids have multiple pathways to cause growth, fat loss, bad side effects. Some bind very well to different receptors and exert their effect and some convert to large amounts of metabolites and others to smaller amounts.

The distribution of enzymes in humans can vary person to person thats why some people respond better to different compounds or experience bad sides than others.

This why being fat before starting aas cycles will hinder your gains and you will experience more sides. Also carrying more muscle before starting cycles is important too because receptor density is greater and you have a better distribution of these enzymes. So better gains less sides.

All these steroids also metabolise into much more compounds but I won't list them all, only the ones we are most familiar with.

These are a few steroids so you guys get the idea of how enzymes affect the hormone.

Eq is the non methylated dbol and it converts to dhb. Eq also gets 5 beta reduced to 5beta h steroids which influence stem cells to become erythropoietic stem cells, maybe thats why bold is claimed to be great for vascularity.

Dbol converts to methyl -1-test in small amounts by 5ar enzyme and little dht. Also converts to a methyl estrogens.

Anadrol converts to methyl DHT and MethylTest because the hydroxy
ethyilene compound in position 2 is cleaved off by a couple different enzymes thus creating those compounds, and on paper you wouldn't expect size and mass from drol because it is a dht derivative, but ot is one of the best strength and mass builders. If your fat with anadrol you can get gyno because you're carrying a lot of aromatase enzyme and methyltest will convert to methyl estro.

Thats why bodybuilders will look better if lean while on anadrol.

Now with the injectables esters, you will see some advanced steroid users claim saying that different esters affect the drug.

This is very true, and if your advanced user you will notice a difference in the variety of esters.

But for the most part, new or regular users wont notice much because the parent compound is same and there body will respond to it like any other ester.
There are a lot of factors that affect it, one of them is lipophilicity and that combined with the different substitutions, arrangements in the ester, will affect hormone bioavailability and how active it is; at binding sites, with the enzymes, and at the receptors; which in turn improve partitioning through the cell membranes. There are ton of esters made not just with steroids but other pharma drugs like painkillers etc. The most active esters were made found to be made with fluorine because its the most electronegative element.
