Diabetics?

ad

So I have a friend at work. The guy works out and is pretty ripped I guess for being 160lbs. Hes constantly reading up on how to gain weight and trying all these different diets but nothing seems to work. Lately hes been asking me about AAS. Last thing I wanna do is give this guy any advice on a cycle and have it mess him up. I don't know what type of diabeties he has and don't know much about his condition but I would like to be able to give him some advice one way or another. If any of you guys have or know where I can find some info for this guy I'd like to try and lead him in the right direction before he does something that could harm him I'd appreciate the help.. Thanks

I think that you need to first determine if your friend has type 1 or type 2 diabetes. 1/3rd of all men with type 2 diabetes have Low testosterone. For type 2 diabetes the testosterone can reduce body fat and also improve the way the body handles insulin. I think for type 2, testosterone could be quite beneficial if he's smart about it.

However from what you have written about your friend being ripped odds are that he's a type 1 diabetic.
If he is a type 1 diabetic the steroids would mess with his blood sugar and make control more difficult. He would probably be better off increasing his insulin during workouts and at the same time consuming a larger quantity of carbs than hitting the testosterone.

That's a tough call though. I think the best advice would be to have your buddy go with what his doctor says, get a second opinion from another doctor or diabetes specialist. With diabetes, I don't think I'd mess with bro science, unless that bro is a type 1 diabetic.

As he increases food intake, his insulin needs will go up..
AAS have an affect on metabolism too. as long as he tells his doc wats going and what hes eating, he should be fine.
Type 1's use basal/bolus method with slin.

So his basal dose may stay the same (till his bodyweight goes up), but his bolus dose with meals may increase.
It can be done, he just needs a good endocrinologist watchn him.
And has to be honest with the amount of gear hes using too

I'll tell him to talk to his doc. He said he mentioned it to him before and they got in a heated argument and the doctor walked out. I'll def pass on the message though

Have him join up or read this site. Aas and insulin is a deadly combo. My buddy was always headed to dang er because he wanted to use. Better to be cut/ripped than dead.

Just my .02
