Cutting too hard?

ad

Hi I am currently at 247, 5'9 and around 19% bf,
Recently I have been putting my daily intake at 300+g p/50 gram or less carbs/ 50 grams or less fat
Should I increase my carbs or stay on this ?

This is precisely how I diet all the time, to each their own. Nothing wrong with this, in fact this may be the quickest way to get shredded however it is also the most unsuccessful way to diet due to lack of discipline.

To put this in perspective from my experience with coaching people I would say 3 out of 20 will make it to the finish line (contest condition) and maybe 6 will make it to single digits before quitting.

Now lets tweak it a bit. Assuming the 50 grams of carbs come from complex sources, lets do this; add 5 cups of vegetables per day to this and drop your protein to 250 grams, this will even out caloric wise.

Fats, keep it low but doesn't hurt to add essential fatty acids to the mix. Spread out over the course of 5 meals and you should be in single digits in 5 to 6 weeks, of course depending on your activity level.

GOOD LUCK.

Cut your protein down to 200g. You don´t need that much protein

Sounds like keto with some carbs. On a keto diet you can eat most proteins + carbs. If it's fulfilling his hunger it shouldn't be bad.

Do you know what keto is? Carbs are the enemy so to speak

Keto is mostly protein and fats not carbs. Anything over 5grams at one time will send your body out of ketosis. 20gram max all coming from cruciferous veggies.
