+ 1 Commenting my own blood test results after 6 weeks.
Six weeks ago I started on a very conservative Testosterone Enanthate dose. Truth said I never used this compound in such a low dose and I was reading here about someone asking what the results would be if using this compound just at 250 mg/week. As last time I used any compound was 6 months ago I thought it would be nice to check about it myself and explain to you the results. Today I got my blood test results so the time to talk about them is now.
Allow me to say that I have the best people in the industry around me preparing my cycle and my training. Also let me say my degree is linked to those matters.
I started on 250 milligrams of testosterone enanthate (I´m not sure I can mention here the brand, but you may guess where I "bought" it :-) ) but I did my blood test before I even started so I know exactly what my baselines are. The reason why you want to know your baselines are is because you want to know if maybe you have a predisposition to anything -for example I was pretty high over the scale on my estrogen and prolactin (over 140 pmol/L at 17-beta oestradiol and 260 mIU/L at prolactin) and this may mean that I had a predisposition to aromatizing and/or to produce more prolactin which is why it's a good thing to know and have your AI on hand–. Also I did the blood test to get my baseline testosterone level to gauge a proper dose. For example if you came with 9 or 10 nanomoles per liter versus where I was -I was 21.9- you know that you could get away with less dose because of the ratio. So if you're on 10 nml and you take 250 milligrams and if you're on 20 nml and you take 250 milligrams obviously you're going to get more out of it if you're a 10 nml because it's going to be a way higher ratio and then obviously in the opposite: the higher you are the higher the dose that you could probably need to get the same post cycle numbers in the blood test. So it's very very important that you get these things done before you engage in this kind of journey.
I'm not here to promote it, you've got your own decisions but I'm here to just help you through. So let's jump straight into it.
I took this test after four to five half-life's of the compound that I'm taking which, as I said, is testosterone enanthate. We know that enanthate is five to seven days half-life -obviously depending on the person it will change a little bit but generally five-seven days- which means four to five weeks or it took these after six weeks because I couldn't get them done before and the results are in.
We're gonna start off with DHEA sulphate. Nothing has changed and it's almost exactly the same and that's to be expected.
Follicle stimulate hormone and luteinizing hormone these are our main sexual hormones. They are what help produce testosterone and they are what keep balls full. They are rock bottom, something to be expected as my body does not need to produce and obviously with the amount the body receives it says okay we've got so much of this testosterone. That's exactly where we expected to be so nothing to worry or be concerned about. It should be back to regular levels after a proper PCT. That´s why PCT is so important, dudes.
Let´s jump now to the big one: my testosterone. Let me say it out and loud to all people that always say that a low dose of testosterone won't be felt: I have almost doubled my natural testosterone. A hundred percent increase. I've come in a 40.7 nanomoles per liter. I also took this test four days after a jab so that's one a half-life so it probably come up a little bit higher if I did it the day after. So yeah, like 40 to 45 nanomoles per liter which is almost over double a high natural level because I was 21 nearly 22.
My free testosterone has, of course, gone up: more testosterone in the body, more free testosterone. My sex hormone-binding globulin is generally unaffected by exogenous hormones so it's just within range so it's not really a problem. My free androgen index also has gone up as that´s a ratio of sex binding hormone and free testosterone so of course that's gone up: I have way more testosterone in my body that just makes sense.
Here's the interesting point: my estrogen and my prolactin. My estrogen is in range. Three or four weeks ago I had sensitive nipples which can be a sign of high estrogen so I introduced Arimidex every three days just because I wanted to clear out. Arimidex is a fast-acting aromatize inhibitor and I wanted to get rid of it quickly because I've had the sensitive nipples for a week or two so I want to make sure they were gone and my estrogen came back at 44.1 so that's within range is on the low side of the range so I will keep an eye on that in further blood tests because we obviously don't want to go below range. Estrogen has a very key role in body building and in human function: if you've got no testosterone and low estrogen your recovery will be affected, you'll get aches and pains and you just won't feels good. Sexual dysfunction might also occur as well so I'm gonna keep an eye on that because it is on the lower range. I currently take half a tab of Arimidex which is 0.5 milligrams every third day. Obviously if that drops below the range where we want it we would just either increase the amount of days or decrease the amount of tablet I take, essentially, but there's nothing to worry about my estrogen right now because it is in range. I feel good I don't have any problems with that so it's fine.
And now prolactin: so my prolactin came up pretty damn high 621 -we expected that– and generally speaking 86-324 is the range so that is pretty high. I need that to come down and there's something that I need to address. I am a regular user of cannabis, something which stimulates the secretion of dopamine. I have used cannabis for about eight years pretty much everyday and every blood test I have taken indicated this high prolactin levels just because my dopamine receptors aren't just non receptive because I've just pounded dopamine for secretion for eight years. This time I had taken a decision which is solve this issue completely. What we're gonna do is we're gonna run a small protocol: I've got three or four little supplements that just help promote dopamine production and I'm gonna stop smoking for about four weeks and then I'm going to do a retest and I'm gonna see if it has any effect in my prolactin levels at all. I hope my prolactin come down. If not then I'll probably introduce caber to bring that right down as I usually do and then we'll address the problem from there.
I got say health comes first and I'm trying to be the best bodybuilder I can day after day and having high prolactin is not gonna do that so it´s about time for me to address this issue from the root.
That's pretty much it, guys. There's nothing else to go through on that blood test. This is after six weeks of testosterone at 250 mg per week. I will keep retesting this until everything is in.
A small comment to remind you that if you're a steroid user you need to be getting blood test done regularly to understand where you are. There's no good just going in blind. We have the technology, we have the ability to correct everything, we have the ability to read everything so I don't know why you would just say "oh my nipples are itching I'm gonna throw in this" and then just not know what's happening. Get it checked out. It´s peace of mind and it´s just playing the smart game. We've got blood test, do them, find out what's wrong and get information enough to fix it properly.
(I´m not sure if I should post it at the Over 40 & TRT forum. Can any MOD please check about it? Thanks)
