+ 6 These things will guarantee your results

ad

Basically I wanted to get this off my chest because I hear so many people complain about it and I hear people all the time "how I'm not progressing?, I'm not doing this!, I'm not doing that!" and then I just ask the same questions and the answers always reveal itself. I also just want to add that by doing this method that I'm gonna tell you right now that's gonna guarantee results. Period. I would expect that there'd be a few anomalies, I'm sure, but like not everyone wants to live their lives this way, and that's completely understandable, so if you just take as many of these aspects as you can, you will obviously put yourself in a better position to get better results. So just try to adopt as many of these things as you can and it's obviously gonna help you get those results you want.

I'm gonna make it pretty brief, I'm not gonna go too crazy depth on everything. If you guys want me to comment down below or even PM me or whatever and I can go into more detail with you.

I'm gonna keep these into five main topics. I'm just gonna bring them very very briefly just so you guys understand and you can ask yourself the questions.

So the first thing is going to be the most obvious thing is gonna be training: are you calculating your training, are you log booking? so are you writing down everything you're doing? are you putting the rep ranges? are you putting the sets and are you actually trying to beat that every single week? are you increasing total volume which is weight x reps x sets and you'll get a certain number and that number needs to go up on that exercise most weeks, like pretty much every single week. You need to be aiming for that. Are you training intense enough? are you hitting very very close to a failure? If you're answering no to those questions make yourself answer yes and get them soared and then of course maintaining form across all of these exercises to standarize them. You most probably are gonna get more muscle by just logging your training and aiming to do it better and better.

Now nutrition. This can be broken down into so many different things but I'm gonna keep it just under the brief umbrella. How are your pre, intra and post workout nutrition? we know that we have a high glycolic demand after workout so, how are your carbs post workout? Be sure you're not mixing carbs and fats because we just want to use one macronutrient at a time which is why we have to separate them, because we want to use the fats when we want to use the fats and not mix any carbs with them so none of them will be missing in the digestion process. Are you eating enough veggies? Are you eating enough fruit? Is your diet dense in Whole Foods? I mean are you eating the best food that you possibly can? Obviously some people can't afford to eat the best food and I understand that but are you doing the best that you can in that situation? I think that's the thing and the main question in this post: are you maximizing what you can do? Are you drinking enough? As well that's a huge one so if you can make sure you tick all those boxes, that's two huge huge things ticked off, nutrition and training which is what people first think about when building muscles.

Recovery yourself should be like a huge huge point in fact there should be a thing on its own. Are you actively recovering or are you just waiting to train again? I think that's something that a lot of people think about: "I can't wait to train, I can't wait to train, I can't wait to train" but we also should know that recovering properly will allow you to come back stronger and will help you assimilating the next work out. By actively recovery I mean things like foam rolling, seeing a chiropractor, doing some stretching, doing my activation work before I work out and then furthermore sleep. Even sleeping as much as six hours a day instead of seven hours a day you can have massive effects.

Let's talk now about mindset: do you want to do that? are you ready to do that? can you commit to all of those things as a hundred percent? can you maximize everything that you're doing? can you give yourself no reason? and essentially, do you want it? do you want to do something that not everyone does? There is no reason why you don't want to show the best version of you, istnt it? Do it, give the best of you.

And finally I would like to talk about drugs but I'm not really allow to do it here because I have the SRC label so feel free to ask and to check all over the forum because I'm almost sure you can get most of the answers you are looking for.

Nice write up Frank..y so many things that people dont consider. they think that they don't have to put all this together to get the results they want and think that they should. i hear too many people get mad because things didn't work like they wanted but they didn't put the time and effort to look at the entire picture.

I´m still receiving some emails asking how many test e mg will they need in order to "get strong without moving from the sofa". There is too much work to do when talking about teaching people and reminding them the basics!

Thanks for the comment, GRRL :-)

i might enjoy answering those ones .. i get the 'my girl wants to lose some fat, what can she take?" emails...

"make her sweat, madafaka" can be a possible answer :-)

Well said Frank. I’m sure we’ve all been guilty of some if not all. I know myself that the nutrition/diet has always been the one I’ve not taken as seriously as I should’ve. I am working on that now though.

I’m glad you mentioned mindset. I think it sometimes gets lost in the shuffle and it shouldn’t because it’s imperative. Mindset can make all the difference in the world.

Thanks a lot brother for the post.

Great post Fank. Recording your training to ensure gradual, but consistently improvements, your daily food intake and macros to ensure that you are bringing in the right amount of the right nutrients and constantly adjusting your macro goals to reflect changes in your body composition is ESSENTIAL to consistent progress. I couldn't tell you how with any amount of certainty my EXACT weight, rep and intensity from my workout a week ago. I can give you a good idea, not not EXACTLY. But EXACTLY is where you knowledge has to be to ensure consistent progress.

This is what separate the dog from the cat
Old formula been known for long time but everyone want to change it
It’s simple eat train sleep you gonna get results if missing one of those you’re not gonna grow period
For nutrition part before workout I like to add a little bit of fat to my meal so my insulin don’t spike
I don’t like to eat fruit before workout because it will fill my liver glycogen sugars not glucose once sugar go to livers it stay there weight training and other intense activities use muscle glycogen
Good post frank +1

Those who do it right get results; those who don't have nothing to show for it!

As simple as it sounds.

Over training under eating or under training over eating.
Ive noticed in the past decade that this skinny muscle physique is getting more and more common and that thick dense slab muscle is dissapearing.
I dont see peeps lifting heavy as much anymore its all light weight high reps and tren ace lol.
I miss the days of deca, test, drol with heavy weight and low reps to get that thickness.
The days where people gorged on what food they wanted and didnt eat salads and eggs lol.
Definatly changing.

Just saying. It was proven scientifically that it means very little

IrishMack's picture

Easy there sparkles...lol the norm back in the day was crush it til your tendons snapped, now if your form is good and you eat/sleep right the gains come without killing yourself. We have a lot more ammo in our arsenal now than relying on the broscience.
Some days I straight kill it in the gym and I'm fine the next day, other days I try a new exercise and can't move a muscle for three days.

IrishMack's picture

Haha there's my rusty. maybe doms comes into factor for growth hitting muscle groups you never knew existed.

12 weeks pre contest a wo routine took 1,5-2,5hrs daily. The word overtraining doesn't exist for me...only the word undereating Smile

(my opinion)

Zalewski's picture

Recovery is so under rated. The whole mentality that "the more you put in, the more you get out" can lead to people making gains but some take it so far that they end up regressing. People are not machines, take a rest and enjoy it, it'll help you from getting burnt out physically and mentally

stairmaster's picture

The biggest problem we have is that young guys think steroids can replace recovery, eating, training....
without all these basics steroids help NOTHING!

Frank_y's picture

In all my post I'm trying to be as clear as possible about this matter: eating, training, recovering. Steroids are the last door to be opened.
