CANNOT sleep on Reta
ad
I've been on Reta for ~8 weeks now. It's been great. No good noise, down 10lbs, all that good stuff.
However, I can't FKIN sleep! We are talking 3-5 hours of sleep a night. I titrated up to 3mg from 1mg and have stayed there for 2 weeks now.
I'm thinking of dropping reta despite the fact that it's amazing for a cut..not only for the reduced food noise but also for its glucagon effect. But if I can't sleep, I can't make gains. So what's the point.
I tried CJC/IPA, Melatonin, Magnesium Glycinate, Fasting before bed, you name it. My problem isn't falling asleep, it's staying asleep.
Anyone have advice?

Same thing happened to me!! I actually ended up just starting to wake up at 3 am and doing administrative work. It actually became one of my best most productive times. I ended up losing about 5o pounds and now I am bulking. Dropped dose down to 4mg per week split into 2 doses and I sleep much better. DSIP helped some I would use it 3 times per week.

Yeah im with you there man. I'm running 4mg right now and my sleep is noticeably worse. I went from poor sleep on cycle for 16 weeks to amazing sleep once all the compounds clear, back to crappy. Thats the kicker with Reta, at higher doses its gonna mess with ur RHR. IMO anything less than 4mg is just boujie tirz - from what I understand you don't get much of a glucagon hit under that dose.
Im gonna stay at 4mg because im a sick fuck, but if I did want to drop i'd prolly switch to tirz.
The 4MG glucagon effect is a common misunderstanding due to some youtube video that went around. The glucagon effect exists at every dose level, it just up in effectiveness at 4MG
I'm with you though. I might just go back to 1MG.
Yeah I’ve heard a ton of opinions but got a general consensus that it really cascades at higher doses.
That’s a heavy dose for 8 weeks, I’ve been in way longer than that an just now getting to that dose, and going from 1mg -3mg is a huge ass increase, try lowering your dose and splitting it to twice a week
I'm with you. I did titrate to 3.5mg and could barely move for a while. I moved back to 2MG and that was the sweet spot for me for a while.
But, that was before I hopped on TRT. When I started 150mg TRT, I got hungry af needed to up the dose. Now, 3MG feels like how 2MG did.
I can still try lowering it though and see what happens. Forgot to mention I do pin twice a week.
That happened to me when I first started. What I realized was I titrated up too fast.
I stopped taking Reta for I believe a week or two, then went back down to 1mg split twice a week and titrated up even slower. This essentially resolved my sleep issue and lowered my RHR (initially raised 15ish bpm but was lower the second go around)
How bad did it raise your resting heart rate? If your RHR is elevated you won’t sleep or get good sleep regardless how much melatonin or sleep drugs you take.
My RHR went up between 10-20bpm depending on the day. It's sitting at 79bpm right now.
I take a 5mg nebivolol at night. Cuts through that RHR increase and vastly improves my sleep. Just an option if you get desperate
woa pro tip
Have you considered adding tren? You really wont be able to sleep but you also probably wont care. /s
Melatonin is my go to and I reckon any sleeplessness side effects from reta will subside on their own over time.
LOL. If I already can't sleep then may as well take tren right. /s
That's why I like tirz better
Maybe I'll switch to Tirz. The glucagon effect is really what attracted me to Reta though, since I am already disciplined enough to not eat like shit most of the time.
I’d either lower or try split dosing it, that’s what I do. I take magnesium and also 4ius of HGH at night and sleep like a baby. The HGH gives me the most vivid dreams.
Yes and I fixed it.
As soon as you wake up the first time in the night, squirt a bit of honey into your mouth and go back to bed. Simple as that, of course take mag glycinate still. One time I was out of honey and took a small swig of maple syrup, same thing, was able to go back to sleep. I went months without falling back asleep after waking but now it’s smoothed out big time, I don’t even need the honey every night anymore. I’m even on tren for 5 weeks and it still works.
How the hell does this work. LOL. I wonder if it has to do with overnight insulin levels. I'll try it though!
That's something else that fixed my sleep big time on a cut. Not going to bed hungry. I save my biggest meal for an hour before bed with most of my daily carbs and I sleep great. Carbs for sure work for sleep
I have to do the opposite, at least while on a glp. Big meals give me insane heartburn and wakes me up.
What I found works for me is my dinner is eggs yogurt and fruit. Everyone is different though, gotta listen to your body
I've just been doing 4 servings of oats and 2.5 Greek yogurt, nothing too crazy. Never got any digestive issues with glps. Reta just gave me crazy rhr and skin sensitivity
I had to add in daily omeprazole when I run GLP's - Works like a charm to block the heartburn side effect. I'd die without it.
Try lower the dose til you don’t have sleep issues?
