Calipers for measuring body fat
ad
Does anyone else struggle with the 3, or even 7 point, strategy when using calipers to measure BF? I've done it idk how many times but according to the data it says I'm <7%BF. And I don't buy it. My most recent pic is pretty accurate of where I'm at now. I've lost a little off the love handles and thats primarily where I hold subcutaneous fat. I always assumed I stayed sub 10 but that just seems too low to me.

Your October pictures?
Wow I hadn't realized it's been that long, shit. Time is flying by. Yes though, pretty close to where I'm at except I've gained some muscle to my shoulders and lost a little around the waist. A little on the thighs too. I'll upload a couple new shots as soon as I get a chance.
Time flies eh? I'd agree your measurement is out then. Round about 10% in that pic I'd say.
Yes man I agree with Cat 9-10% still looking good bro keep pushing it
Med school. Clinical rotations. Last two years are a blur. Thanks cat I appreciate the input. That's what I thought.
Med school eh? I'll be taking the dive myself pretty soon. As far as calipers, I think 7 pt can be tricky & 3 pt is easy to do on others, but either are difficult to do on one's own body. For self assessment, I'd go with a little omron BIA. My exphys lab does a lot of validation work with body comp devices and physical activity trackers, and those are pretty accurate if you follow the instructions.
Yeahhh man. It's a trip. Medicine is really interesting though. And a good field to be in as far as job security. As long as you don't mind being raped in taxes lmao. Wish you luck! I have my buddy use the calipers on me. And we take an average of 3 trials for each site. I'm not familiar with the stuff you mentioned but i'll look into it for sure. Friend request accepted.
