any one else workin on a pinched nerve?

ad

For a few months I've had a pinched nerve in my upper back. Pretty much lost about 50% strength on my left side, chest, tricep and back lat. Had test done and everything came back good ecept EMG. said reflex was a little slow. Was wondering if any one else has, or had this problem and how to work out without fuckin it up more?

Did they not tell you exactly where your nerve was pinched and what the cause is? Thought thats what the EMG was for. Just asking cause my doc recommended the EMG for my sciatica. Be careful, dont want to make it worse.

Get an mri bro. I thought I had a pinched nerve for weeks and then the pain got so bad I went to the er. Doctor said it's a pinched nerve and sent me to an orthopedic and had xrays and mri done. I have a severe herniated disc in my neck which is impeding on a nerve. I lost half of my left triceps and a lot of strength. And this all happened over a year ago and I just had another mri done and its still there. It's 40% smaller and the pain is now manageable but the nerve damage is still there. My only options are continue to go about things and maybe one say it will eventually heal itself or have surgery on my neck which opens up another can of worms.

My symptoms are the same as yours. At first it felt like my arm and hand was on fire. Some of my fingers are numb and tingle as well.

Best of luck bro, but Google the symptoms of disc herniation and see what comes up.

I was out of commission for about 8 months and couldn't lift at all. I lost years of hard work and gains and had to start all over so I can fell your pain.

Thank man. Ya I had same symptoms, with numbness and tingling, but that went away. Had the MRI done. No signs of a herniated disk. Doc thinks more of a stretched never than a pinched, but my tricep and chest are still weak. Might try the chiropractor, keep hearing it helps.
